Taehyung and Mihyun walked side by side in silence. For some reason, his heartbeat was faster than usual. A social butterfly like him couldn't start up a conversation at that time. He occasionally glanced at the female beside him, sometimes even got caught staring.
"Which store are we going to?" Mihyun asked to break the thick silence.
"The one near the railway station. The snacks are cheap there."
"Sounds weird coming from the mouth of a millionaire."
"Hey! Money is precious. Why waste it when I can save them for the future?"
"What will you do with so many savings?? Will you buy a country for your wife?" She joked but Taehyung's reply stunned her.
"I'll rather donate it to some orphanage or hospital instead of spoiling my family with unnecessary things."
Mihyun stopped in her tracks, mouth slightly parted. Her respect for this man sky rocketed. She smiled to herself and jogged to catch up with Tae. "You have such a beautiful soul. I wish I had someone like you in my life."
"You already have me." Taehyung's sudden reply completely caught her off guard.
"W-What?" Her wide eyes were fixed on the boy before her.
Taehyung realized his words meant something else than intended. He wanted to say as a friend but it sounded different. He opened his mouth to rectify her but his words stopped in his throat. His eyes caught her beauty for the first time.
Playful eyes on tanned skin. Her lips were slightly thin and her cheeks were rosy. Her straight shoulder-length hair flew in the wind. The butterflies began dancing in his stomach. His eyes were fixed on her tempting lips. Everything seemed blurry to him except the girl before him.
Suddenly he felt piercing cold drops on his body. Taehyung immediately got out of his trance and looked up at the dark grey clouds.
"It's raining." Mihyun confirmed, "And we got no umbrella!!"
Taehyung clasped her hands and began running for shelter. In no time the rain increased. Her hand felt soft and warm against his. He frantically looked around for a shade but spotted nothing. He immediately took off his jacket and held it over their heads like an umbrella and began running towards their destination.
Taehyung didn't realize their proximity until it was too late. The couple stood infront of their destined convenience store, eyes locked with each other and nose almost touching under the soaked jacket.

Few Hours before.
Jungkook opened his eyes and found himself in Taehyung's room. He immediately sat up as soon as he recalled the fight.
"Yah! Easy man!" Taehyung exclaimed from the other side.
Jungkook groaned and laid back. His body was aching like hell. He was also wrapped up in bandages. "What happened to that monster?" His voice came out hoarse.
"You defeated him. How did you even summon the electric tornado?"
Kook recalled Namjoon's words. "Your power will be unleashed as time passes." He couldn't believe he was capable of pulling such a stunt. It drained him like hell but he was determined to get stronger. "How long was I out?"
"Sixteen hours."
"That long?" His eyes widened. "That means I skipped school today. But what about you, why are you home?"
"To take care of you, supernatural pig." Taehyung rolled his eyes but the moment he saw Jungkook he regretted his words. The latter was looking at him with the cutest gaze he could muster. "S-stop giving that look. I should be the one thanking you for saving my life." He blushed and looked away.
"Aweee, my friend took care of me. I feel so lucky. Thank eeeuuu." He started sending him flying kisses until, "WHAT ABOUT MY MOM?? SHE WILL KILL ME IF SHE GETS TO KNOW I DITCHED SCHOOL!!"
Taehyung almost hit his head on the ceiling at his sudden outburst, "Geez Kook, Calm your tits! Firstly, you didn't ditch school. You were sick and injured. Secondly, I said emonie that we will be completing our pending assignment at home today."
"And she allowed? That easily?" Jungkook had his eyes wider than saucers.
"Just admit that she trusts me more than you." He victoriously smirked.
Jungkook scoffed and looked away, "I therefore conclude that I was adopted. Btw, I am hungry. Can I have white pasta please??"
"I can't cook."
"Then Starbucks coffee?"
"That's a wastage of money!"
"Then panda express meal? I saw it in your fridge the other day!"
"Shut up! That's my favourite. I am not giving it to you."
Jungkook pouted and looked away, "I am sick here. This is unfair. You not giving food to a hungry, injured me. It is considered as child abuse. I will sue you when I get well."
"Fine!!" The softly banged his head on the wall in annoyance, "I'll get you something to eat so stop eating my head please, and get well soon so that I can kick you out of my house."
"You don't mean that." Tae glared at him and went out.
After some minutes he was back with a cup of instant noodles. Jungkook ate it happily, not before complaining about its blatant taste. Then Tae excused himself to take a nap because he couldn't get much sleep last night.
Once he was out of sight, our superhero Kook was lost in some serious thoughts. The playfulness in his face was long gone. He was getting targeted more often nowadays. Even the people around him were in danger. Yesterday Taehyung almost got killed.
He needed to talk to Namjoon as soon as possible. He might be of some help. Jungkook didn't realize when he drifted into slumber. The next time he woke up was evening. The sun was almost set. Orange rays lighted up the room in an aesthetic shade.
He sat up and felt better than before. The wounds were also not paining much. He removed his blanket and went to the attached washroom for a warm shower. After he was done. He sat back on the bed to put on his iron man socks. (Yah! don't judge. Iron man is cool!) Suddenly he heard the door and someone quietly stepped in.
The supernatural powers sharpened his senses thus he could recognize Taehyung just by his movements. But this person was certainly not Taehyung. He used his powers to stop the person in his tracks. Unfortunately, his body was sensitive because of the injuries so he accidentally used more force than intended.
A feminine grunt was heard which made him jump on his feet. His eyes widened when he saw Jiah. Kook immediately jogged over to her and knelt.
"Jungkook?" Her Bambi-like wide eyes were fixed on him. They were close once again. Heat immediately rushed to his cheeks as he recalled their kiss. How sweet her lips were!
"What happened to your head??? And hands??" His daydream broke at her inquiry. "You had only sprained your ankle last day how did you get hurt like this??"
"I- Um-" He tried to cook some excuses while Jiah continued throwing questions at him, still sitting on the floor. She completely ignored the fact that Jungkook pushed her away without even touching her.
"Why are you in Taehyung's house? Why did you not tell anything to me? Did anyone beat you up?"
"Stop, Stop, Stop!!" Jungkook quickly stood up and looked away, "I fell down the stairs."
"Jungkook! That's the worst lie I have ever heard!" She stood up taking his hand. He nervously rubbed his nape and looked down. "Did you get caught up in the attack in the school last day?"
"W-what? H-how did you know there was an attack?!" He almost shouted flabbergastedly.
"Are you serious? Justin was there and it is all over the news!"
"O-oh... Y-yes. I was thrown away by the enemy and hit my back against a tree. Taehyung helped me to get out of there." Jiah seemed to buy this lie.
She softened her look, "I am sorry. I- shouldn't have run away leaving you. It was just ki-" She glanced at him and continued ignoring her hammering heart, "It was just a kiss and I shouldn't have reacted that way. Heck! I don't even know why I kissed you. It was just in the heat of the moment. I am so sorry for making you uncomfortable."
Jungkook's heart clenched at her words. She considered his first kiss an accident. Did she not mean it? "I am sorry too for kissing you back. I should have refrained myself." He dejectedly replied.
"You probably think of me as a creep. We are friends and friends are not supposed to kiss each other-"
"I don't think you as a creep. Besides I took your advantage too."
They nervously looked in every direction except the one infront. Finally, Jiah spoke, "Guess, we both are at fault. Let's just forget that and never bring up the topic. It was an accident, anyway."
Silence befell them. Jiah's heart pained to blurt out the words. A part of her wanted him to deny her words. She wanted Jungkook to say it was the right thing to do and that he loved the kiss. But a part of her was also scared of ruining their friendship and she lowkey felt guilty because she liked Justin. She had wanted to preserve her first kiss for him.
Jungkook, on the other hand, was heartbroken. He wished Jiah did it because she liked him more than a friend. He was planning to ask her out but she threw water on his hopes. She made it clear that there was nothing romantic between them.
Suddenly the main door opened which broke the tension between them. Taehyung and Mihyun's voices were heard.
