FINAL CHAPTER!!!!!!
Lauren's POV
Paul dragged me out of the car and held onto me with a death grip. I swear that I'm already bruised by his hold on me. He opened the front door and pushed me in, making me fall to the floor.
"Welcome home babe" he says giving me his sickening smirk. "Now go and wait for me in the bedroom I have plans for us tonight. Also you better not resist like last time or I swear you'll look worse than Camila did after Chris beat the shit out of her" he says and I ball my fist in anger.
"I said go to the bed room you fucking bitch" he says walking to me and pulling me to my feet by my hair.
I stared at him with rage and pushed his hand off of me. " I fucking hate you" I spit out and head to the room at the end of the hall
"I love you too honey" I hear him yell back and I know he doesn't mean it
I walked into the room and entered the bathroom that was right next to it. I closed the door and locked it then sat down on the toilet cover with my hands in my face. I finally broke down. In that bathroom in the scariest house I've been in and with the monster of an ex boyfriend. I broke down.
"God please if you can hear me, don't let my brother be dead please. And Camila if anything happens to me please keep her safe please. If I'm doing this it is all for her because I love her please keep her safe and don't let my brother be hurt in any type of way or form." I say as I cry my eyes out
"I don't know if I'm god but I can give you an answer to two of the things you ask for" I hear and when I look up I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
"You're Alive!" I yell and he covers my mouth to shut me up
"shh Laur, you have to be quiet okay, and yes I am alive and if you want to keep it that way you have to keep quiet. now we need to get out of here now" he says and I nod my head making him uncover my mouth
"How are we getting out of here" I ask and he points at a window by the shower
"Lauren Where are you?" I hear Paul yell and I look at Chris who smiles and I look at him confused
"Lauren!" Paul yells again
Chris moves away from me telling me to keep quiet as he unlocks the door and opens it slowly while hiding behind it to reveal a pissed off Paul
"We need to leave NOW!" Paul says
"I thought we were staying here?" I say confused
"Not any more now move or I'll make you" he says grabbing my arm again and making yell in pain
"I'd let her go if I were you" Chris says coming out of his hiding place and holding a gun against Paul's head
"Chri-Chris buddy your-you're alive man. That's amazing" Paul says stuttering and turning around to look at my brother who looks extremely pissed
"Yeah I'm alive but no thanks to you. Now do as I say and let my sister go" Chris orders clocking the gun in his hand and my eyes go wide. Chris wasn't just playing pissed he was actually really pissed
"Chris man let's um talk this out you know like the friends we are" Paul tries reasoning as he lets me go.
"Friends? Paul I don't think we were ever friends. As a matter of fact a friend doesn't rape another friend's sister does he?" Chris says and I stay frozen how did he find out.
"Chris man you don't know what you're talking about" Paul says still trying to reason
"Lauren wait outside, the cops are on their way with dad" Chris says not losing eye contact with Paul
"Chris I'm not leaving you in here with him" I say worried about what my brother would do alone with him
"Lauren GO!" Chris orders looking at me and right as he does that I see Paul charge towards my brother with a pocket knife causing my to scream and a shot to go off.
Camila's POV
30 minutes Earlier
We had We had gotten to the Creep's house hours before he arrived and we were glad about that. Drew was really a fast driver I wonder why he hasn't started to drive for Nascar. Either way when we were getting tired of waiting Wesley's phone rings and he smirked
"What is it Wes?" I ask
"Drew he's here get ready to help him in" Wes says and I look at them confused
"Camila we need you and Cece to Stay in the car and lay low if you see anything text us but stay in here" Drew says and I cross my arms over my chest waiting for an answer
"Fine, Chris is here. He flew in with his dad and they have a plan to get Lauren out and arrest Paul but we need you to stay in here please" Wes says coming to Drew's window holding the paintball guns and goggles.
"I can't just stay in here though she's my girlfriend" I argue and Drew gets out closing the door and walking away with Wesley behind him.
"Camila let them do this okay. It's going to be over soon" Cece says and I look at her wondering how she is calm at a time like this when her boyfriend is going in there too.
20 minutes later and the boys still haven't returned. I know it was because Paul still hadn't arrived with Lauren but I was still getting anxious. I could tell that Cece noticed my frustration because she climbed over to the driver's seat and took my hand in hers.
"They'll be fine trust me . I might not know Lauren that well like you do but that girl can get through anything. And I know Wesley, Drew, and Chris won't let anything happen to her. We just need to wait this out. I know it's hard but we can do this" she says and I nod my head
At that moment we see head lights and slide down in our seats so we won't be noticed. As the light in the incoming car are lowered, I take a look to see who had just arrived and I notice it's Paul with Lauren and it looks like they are arguing but he is also hurting her. A couple of seconds later the car is turned off and we see Paul drag Lauren out of the car and towards the house. I look over at Cece and she nods at me. I take out my phone and send a text I had typed for minutes.
"They are in the house. If you are there hide now"
we waited a good 15 more minutes till he heard a shot and a scream. I knew that scream it was Lauren. A second later we see Drew and Wesley running out of the house one carrying Lauren and the other holding an injured Chris.
"Open the doors now and turn on the car" Wesley yells and Cece quickly turns on the car and pushes open the back door causing them to pile in.
"What happened?" I ask freaking out when I see blood on both Chris and Lauren
"Just drive now!" Drew orders and Cece drives off
"Wes where to?" Cece asks while driving away from the cabin from Evil Dead.
"Hospital. Chris was hurt" Wes says covering What looks like an open wound
"Lauren" I say worried and reaching my hand towards hers
"Cam-Camzi" she says looking at me with tear filled eyes
"Hey he's going to be okay. He's a Jauregui remember" I say holding her hand and receiving a nod from her.
"Yeah he is" Lauren says giving a weak smile to her brother.
"Chris you need to stay awake man okay don't close your eyes" Wes says
"We are almost there " Cece says and I look and see a hospital close by.
"Drew Call now" Chris says in a weak voice and Drew pulls out his phone to make a call
"we got her out. Yeah knocked out cold. Um We are on our way to the hospital. No he's still awake. Yeah Got it" Drew says then hangs up
"Drew?" I ask worried
"Your dad is on his way and the cops are arriving at the Cabin" He says to Lauren and I let out a half sigh because now we have to get Chris better.
When we got to the hospital Wes carried out Chris and ran into the ER
"We need a doctor quick" he yelled walking in and 2 nurses came running
"What happened?" one of them asked
"He got stabbed protecting me from an attacker" Lauren says
"Did you inform the police" they ask
"Yes" I answer immediately
"Please save him. He's my brother" Lauren says starting to cry and I hug her.
"Okay wait here and we will see what has to be done. What's his name?" they ask
"Christopher, Christopher Jauregui" Lauren says through tears
"Alright" they say taking him out of Wesley's arms and placing him on a germy
"Christopher can you hear me? If you can just give me a little nod. okay buddy I need you to stay awake okay don't close your eyes" one of the nurses tells him as they walk off with him
"Lauren" I say and she looks at me
"we need to talk" is all I say before pulling her outside with me
"Camila not now please Chris is in there with a stab wound" she says but I can't just let this go
"And what about my stab wound to the heart? you know the one you left me with when you made the stupid decision to leave me thinking it would keep me safe. What were you thinking Lauren? That I wouldn't feel hurt? that I wouldn't feel Abandoned? because I did. Lauren you left me in the middle of the night and not just that but you left even after your brother warned you not to. DO you have any idea what could have happened if Chris wasn't able to get back to the apartment and tell us where to actually find you? Did you seriously think that leaving with that psycho would keep me safe? Don't you understand that I am only completely safe when I'm with you. Do you even care that I had a complete emotional break down when I woke up and you were gone. Yes I found the letter you left but it didn't help when I looked at this" I say showing her the ring that I put on my necklace around my neck "Tell me Lauren " I shout Frustrated by everything
"I'm sorry" she says in a whisper
"You're sorry? you should be. But saying you're sorry isn't going to fix this entire mess. Look where we are Lauren. We are in A hospital and your brother got injured because he was getting you out of a situation he warned you about. Sorry won't fix this. A sorry won't fix the hours of worry and anxiety Taylor your Father and everyone including myself, that we felt not knowing where or how to even get you back to us. I get that you did this to keep me safe and because you love and trust me I love you even more for it, but I felt more unsafe without you near me." I say holding her face in my hands
"I-I know and sorry. God I'm sorry. I thought that if I gave Paul what he wanted he'd leave you alone. I-I admit I was wrong for leaving you and for worrying everyone, but what else could I have done?" she says and I knew that she was emotional right now
"You could have talked to me" I say
"The same way you talked to me about texting Chris for the past week" She says and my eyes go wide
"I know you've been texting him. There is no way that he would get our location from Keaton because Keaton didn't know where we were. and I know Taylor and my dad didn't tell him so it had to be you" she says looking at me
"Okay yes I told him but it was only because he needed to know about your mom" I say clearing it up
"Keaton told him about me mom" she says and I shake my head
"Keaton has been out of the country for 3 weeks he has no clue about your mother. I'm the one who told Chris about your mom" I say worried she'd freak out but instead of yelling and shouting she pulled me close and kisses me
Lauren's POV
Yes I know I fucked up, Yes I know Camila had every right to yell at me the way she did, and yes she messed up by not telling me about the texting Chris thing, but her explaining to me the reason why and her actually doing it was the dumbest and smartest thing she has ever done. I was stupid for making that decision of leaving her; when if I stayed Chris wouldn't be in the hospital right now.
"Please forgive me for being an idiot" I say pulling away slowly from the kiss
"Depend will you try and pull the same stupid stunt every time I'm in danger?" she asks
"No I'll never leave you alone again I promise" I say holding her close
"Then you are forgiven . Now let's go inside and find out what's going on with your brother" she says holding my hand and walking into the hospital
When we walked in everyone was in a seat waiting. I saw my dad talking with some cops, I saw Drew holding his head between his knees and I saw Cece comforting Wesley. Everyone was worried, hell I was worried the most he's my brother. When I looked at my dad again I noticed that he finally saw me and he practically started to run in my direction.
"Lauren! Oh thank god. Camila you too. Don't you ever do that again neither of you. Never leave like you did. We were all worried. Camila your mother almost murdered me and you dad was about to pull a machete on me." My dad says hugging us and I'm a bit confused as to why my dad is giving Camila this speech.
"Camila next time you can't just run off by yourself looking for Lauren you understand it was dangerous you could have gotten hurt even killed" my dad says and then it clicked with What Camila told me earlier, she really wasn't safe without me by her side and she really did come after me.
"And you Lauren Michelle, let this be the first and last time you decide to do something as dangerous as this after I tell you that I am handling it" he adds pissed and Camila and I both nod in understanding
"Now the police found Paul he is alive. It looks like your brother hit him right where he needed so he wouldn't come after you " my dad says
"Dad Chris shot him though, didn't he kill him?" I ask
"How would he kill him it the gun the cops gave Chris was filled with Marbles?" My dad says smiling
"Wait what?" I ask confused
"Your Brother and sister both Came up with a plan after Camilita here ran off to look for you. He called up Cece and explained the plan to her and the boys. Taylor knew that Camila wouldn't drive down here alone and also couldn't get he in time to set the plan so Chris convinced Drew and Wes to come as well since Drew has a grade A skill for wanting to drive fast. He told the boys to pack their paintball guns and fill them you with both paint balls and marbles and to also bring a bat for if in case. Your brother and I then took the first flight out here and since we knew Drew was going to turn into Dare Devil with your car we got the cops to not stop him for speeding" My dad says
"Wait that was Drew driving like a maniac on 95?" I ask pissed
"Um yeah sorry I um kind of needed him to drive really fast so we could get there before you" Camila says rubbing her neck
"You knew about this plan too?" I ask her
"No I'm hearing this plan for the first time" Camila says
"Any way Drew and Wesley were to call Chris when they arrived and from there" my dad starts but Camila cuts him off
"From there they were suppose to sneak in the cabin wait till you arrived and knock out Paul to get you out" she says and I look at her stunned
"I was in the car for that part of the plan" Camila says shrugging
"Okay fine but that doesn't change that Chris is injured" I say
"No it doesn't but he'll be alright. Plus for him doing this the Miami police are going to try and get him less jail time for the things he's done to Camila" my dad says
"so he's still getting arrested?" I ask
"Yes he is " My dad says
"Actually he isn't. On my way to get Cece earlier I may have dropped those charges my dad made on my behalf against Chris" Camila says and I look at her with a smile
"Really?" I ask
" yeah Chris was manipulated completely by Paul. I know that if he was in his right state of mind he would have never done what he did. He's always been a good kid. He just hung out with the wrong person" Camila says and I hug her. I seriously have the best girlfriend ever.
"Mr. Jauregui a moment please" one of the cops says calling my dad over
"SO does this mean I can't hate my brother anymore?" I ask holding her hands
"You never hated him. you just hated who he was hanging out with and what he was becoming" Camila says
"Alright smart ass I'll give you that" I say smiling and giving her a kiss
"Family of Christopher Jauregui" we hear the doctor say as we pull away from each other and walk towards him
"I'm his sister" I say
"Well your brother is fine. the wound was deep but not deep enough to cause any inner damage. We gave him 15 stitches and he's on pain killers right now. He was very lucky that his friend put just enough pressure so that he wouldn't bleed out so that was good no blood transfusion was needed. Other than that he's perfectly fine and asleep at the moment" the doctor says then walks away
"Like I told you he's a Jauregui" Camila says hugging me and kissing my cheek
"Lauren come here" My dad calls me over and I look at Camila who is just as confused as me.
"Dad Chris is going to be fine" I say walking up to him with Camila by my side.
"I heard but I need you to tell me what this is" he says handing me a medical folder and I freeze
No POV
They stood there, Lauren, Camila and Lauren's Father. Lauren's hands shook as she took the folder out of her father's hand. When she opened it and read what was inside she dropped it like it was fire. Camila bent down to see what it said and when she saw what it was her hands flew to cover her mouth as tears filled her eyes. Papa J only stood there and looked at his daughter waiting for an answer or an explanation.
"She's 5 months old Lauren" her father says and all the girl could do was look down at Camila
It's odd when they say things can always stay a secret but in reality it's just hiding the truth till it finally sees the light. Everyone has a secret but are you sure that it will stay that way or will it surface for everyone to see. There is a reason for those types of secrets. Either to protect the ones you love or to protect yourself either way that is why they are "The Secrets We Keep"
