Evelyn's Pov
Walking around the beautiful scenery while smiling, Thinking while facing the beautiful nature that my eyes witnessed. I thought he change, how stupid am I to think that I completely change a cruel man. Once he was, now he still. Closing my eyes as I feel so much free than staying in that Castle forever. I hope Thomas understands that I also need freedom for a while, how is he anyway?
Maybe smiling and agreeing me to leave, nodding my head as I speak in my mind. Looking around as I hear bird chirping and I gasped to see a nest between the branch tree, tiptoeing my toes to see 3 eggs with the mother bird looking at me.
I chuckled and waved at it "Don't worry mommy bird, I won't hurt you and your babies. I just came to have fresh air" I said with a smile, the bird kept looking at me with its side eye. I chuckled softly before moving back away to give them some personal space.
Turning around and start to sit on the grass while looking at the clouds, I looked down to my book that I brought when I hurriedly and silently escaped early in the morning to breathe the fresh air. Worth escaping, I chuckled to myself and read chapter 10 'Skies, stars, moon, oh, how I love watching them just as I watch you asleep in my arms' I automatically smiled in sweetness.
Leaning my head back on the grass while covering my face with the book as the sunlight almost hitting my skin 'You must be an angel came from above, you were here to love me for eternity' I smiled and flipped the pages 'I have loved you for eternity, my love' I awed and kept smiling nonstop.
Looking down as I continue to read 'I will never leave you, forever we belong together' I said softly, my moments got interrupted by a voice from behind "If Thomas wouldn't leave you, then why are you here?" Turning around to see the man last yesterday, Nikolai! Why is he here?
I was about to speak when he beat me to it "If you're asking why am I here, I was strolling around these areas but I saw this beautiful young lady reading under the sun" Nikolai said with a grin, I stood up to face him "Did you just made it up?" I asked, Nikolai laughed "Oh no, I described you that way" He replied with a playful smile.
I sighed, turning around to leave but Nikolai held my wrist "Not so fast, I've got a lot of questions to ask" He said, I turned around again to face him "What?" Nikolai chuckled and looked at me "Why are you here? Without guards or Thomas around might be dangerous for a Queen like you around here" He said.
Looking down to think, He's right but I can fight through books. I even made Thomas interested in me with just a flying sword and threatening him "I can fight" I said with no seconds, Nikolai smirked and move closer to me "You can? Then you must be a warrior before" He said with his playful smirk, I move back as soon as he stepped closer to me.
"I'm not, I learned from books" I replied while looking down to the book i'm holding, Nikolai stopped smirking as his brows furrowed in confusion before realizing it "ohh bookworm, I see. Thomas also love reading" He replied, I looked up to him with wide eyes "Are you too?" I asked excitedly, Nikolai chuckled at me before replying "I read books a little, but since I am busy now being as Prince. I don't have enough time" He said.
I looked up to the skies for a while before turning to him "Why do you have time of strolling around here then? Thomas was a prince when he met me, he even spends more of his time with me then why cant you?" I asked curiously, Nikolai laughed and crosses his arms "Maybe I'm even more focusing to the throne, that Thomas is tempted by distraction" He replied.
I crossed my arms while looking at him with a frown brows "If you say so, then! Let us read this together, I haven't finish the whole page because Thomas kept keeping me inside the palace" I replied while showing him the book in my hand, Nikolai kept watching me as he mumbled to himself which I cannot hear it clearly "That's why Thomas chose you" I looked at him confusedly "what?" I asked.
Nikolai shook his head "Never mind, shall we go to my Kingdom and read this book?" He asked, I bit my lip and turned around to the other side of where Thomas kingdom is "I would love to, but I really need to go back. Thomas is getting worried" I replied, Nikolai groaned and held my hand in his "There's plenty of time with that, we'll be back here before anyone knows your gone" He said while dragging me with him.
I was about to refuse again but a little time wont hurt Thomas, right? Walking beside Nikolai as he lead me to a carriage, He held my hand "After you" I smiled and get inside. What a gentleman, sitting down as Nikolai sat beside me "Go back to the Kingdom" He said, the rider nodded before the carriage starts to move, hearing the horses neighing "now Evelyn, tell me about you" Nikolai said while holding a cup of tea.
Thomas Pov
Holding my hair tightly in rage, Some of the guards opened the door that made me look up "Your Majesty, We cant find Evelyn anywhere. She must've gone too far from here" He said, I groaned and stood up before throwing everything on the table "How dare she leave me, She is married to me! She is bound to me for eternity!" I Said loudly.
Few guards move back away in fear, I throwed everything on the ground and they all move back. That's it, that's what Evelyn don't like about me. I'm a monster, a knock on the door made me lift my head up. It was Katherine who gasped at my condition "Oh, Thomas. What happened to you!" She said as she walked towards me.
I pushed her away from me "Get out" I said coldly, Katherine glared at me "That Evelyn did this to you, right?" She asked. I kept silent while looking down in my thoughts, Katherine slammed her hand on the table. I looked up to her "I knew that woman is not good for you, leave her alone" She said.
I clenched my fist and i'm the one who slammed my hand on the table in anger, making her flinch "Who are you to tell me that, You are just nothing to me" I said roughly, Katherine's brow changed from sad and scared to anger "If it isn't not for that girl then you wouldn't be in this condition!" She raised her voice, I stood up and punched the wall behind her. Making her screamed in fear.
Looking down at her angrily before whispering roughly "Get out before I kill you" Katherine gasped and quickly walked out, when the door was closed. I held my hair tightly while screaming in rage "Evelyn!! Wherever you are, I will find you. Wherever you are in this world whether heaven or hell, I will find you for you are mine!" I screamed loudly.
After calming down a bit, I remembered. That Maya came to Evelyn's room last night, they've talk about something that I didn't know and I have to find it out. Standing up angrily and opened the door before walking down the halls with my heavy steps, servants around whispered to each other.
I kept ignoring them as I continue to walked down the kitchen, kicking the door opened and maids screamed in surprised "Get Out" I said coldly but angrily inside, Everybody quickly walked out of the kitchen one by one. Looking around carefully and I saw Maya looking at me fearly.
I frowned my brows angrily, walking towards her and chocking her neck "If you forgot, what did you talked about with Evelyn yesterday night?" I asked, Servants and maids starts to plead "Your Majesty, my friend has not done you no wrong. Let her go" I ignored them, Maya tried stopping me but I tighten my grip on her neck. Making her unable to speak.
"Your Majesty, no!" Some of the maids said worriedly, I gritted my teeth before letting her go and Maya start to breathe with air. Maids quickly kneel down beside her and helping her up, I pull my sword out and pointing it at Maya. Everybody stopped moving as they are panicking more "Answer me!" I yelled loudly at her.
Everybody in the room flinched and trembled in fear, Maya stuttered and held her hand out "P-put down the sword first, make sure nobody gets hurt" She said shakily, I point the sword more at her "Answer my question" I said calmly but already impatient, Maya looked around her friends and nodded quickly "o-okay, I will tell you" She said shakily, I leaned my head back and raised my brow before she started speaking.
Evelyn's Pov
Smiling as I enjoy reading books with Nikolai, he's a good company to be with and a funny guy. When I first met him I thought he's a flirty one but I just realized that you cant judge someone after you see them in your eyes but if you get to know that person, he/she might be more different than you expected to be.
I laughed loudly as Nikolai read the bottom, I pointed my finger at the right one to read and Nikolai quickly nodded before laughing "I better fix my eye" he said jokingly, I chuckled and helped him read it together. "Oh no! That's tragic!" He said playfully angry, I laughed and lay my back on the floor while holding my stomach. "But he's crazy! He kept eating the grass when he already got food on his table" I said loudly.
Our laughters filled the whole room of Nikolai, I quickly tried to stop my laugh while Nikolai held my back carefully not to hurt me "I can feel my stomach tickling me" He said with a small chuckles left in his lips, I giggled and sit up to look at him "That's what you get for teasing me!" I said while crossing my arms.
Nikolai chuckled and sit up as well "Oh, We should drink water. Our throats are getting sore from laughing" He said, I nodded and laughed gently to not hurt my throat "Come on!" I said while standing up, Nikolai held my hand without me noticing as we walked downstairs to the kitchen.
Drinking water as I can feel my throat is getting better, Nikolai walked out of the kitchen to bring me something. I waited for him, looking around the kitchen and it's also beautiful but different styles and decorations.
Looking around to see a beautiful gold clock above, I gasped in amaze before walking around while waiting for Nikolai. "Evelyn?" A voice from behind startled me, turning around to see Jack with wide eyes in surprise "Jack? Oh, what are you doing here!" I said while hugging him tight, oh how I miss him so much!
Jack smiled against my back as he hugged me tightly "I was alone in the streets but I found this Kingdom and I thought of maybe staying here" He said, I pulled back from the hug and checked if he's hurt. "I'm not hurt, I am always fine but what are you doing here? Are you okay?" Jack asked while looking all over my skin for scars or scratch.
I smiled at him warmly, shaking my head "I'm always fine too, Nikolai found me outside and brought me in. He's a good company to be with!" I said while smiling, Jack held my both arms "Evelyn, That man is dangerous. Get out from here and don't ever come back" He said seriously.
I furrowed confusedly before chuckling as if its a joke "If Nikolai is dangerous then why are you here?" I asked, Jack shook his head "I had no other choice, I was all alone and Thomas wouldn't let me see you so I had to work here to have a roof to live and food to eat. You have to leave now" He replied, I looked down and not understanding it "You said that he's dangerous, Maybe you haven't know about him" I said.
Jack sighed and dragged me in the corner before whispering "No, it's not about I, not knowing about Nikolai. I've been here for days and I've known of Nikolai, You just met him today right? You are the one who don't know him" Jack said worriedly, I was about to reply when someone interrupted me "What of not knowing about me" We both turned our heads to the voice and it's Nikolai..
