Evelyn's Pov

I was waiting for Thomas to wake up, I kept holding his hands while the medician looked at me "He's just stress, maybe after the long tiring battle" He said, I nodded my head. I thought he fainted because his curtain room is pink?

"Or maybe because of the fireball that hit his head" He said before holding his things as he was about to go, I stopped him "Wait, what do you mean fire ball?" I asked. He turned to me and answered "Yes, he got hit by a fireball along with his mens. Did he not told you?" He asked.

I shook my head "He did not tell me everything about the war, he was calm when he got here" I replied, He looked at Thomas before nodding his head "Try not to do things that stress him or else it's not gonna be good" He said before turning around, nodding my head "Yes, Thank you"

Turning around and looked at Thomas who was laying on the bed peacefully, I held his hand "I'm so worried of you, but my worried turned into happy as I found out you were alive sending me a letter that you'll come back today" I said with a smile while still watching him.

Kissing his forehead before pulling away "I hope I changed you enough" I said softly before standing up and left to go to my friend's chamber, opening the door slowly and found Carl and Anne looking at each other, I bit my lip while smiling widely. Come on, Carl do the first move!

I kept peeking while giggling silently to myself, moving more as I saw Carl leaned in and I widened my eyes and lean back to the door "Evelyn?" I jumped in surprise as Maya whispered, the door got opened and I fell on the ground. Carl stopped leaning in as he saw me "What are you doing?"

I closed my eyes, clenching my fist. I've doomed them. Standing up slowly and smiling at them awkwardly "Oh, hey!" I said happily, Anne furrowed her brows and crosses her arms "how long have you been there?" She aaked.

Looking down as I keep a smile on my face, remembering their moments "Just a minute, promise! I haven't heard any more of your previous conversation!" I said with wide eyes, Anne blushed and look away. Carl cleared his throat "so, what were you doing?" He asked, changing the topic.

I hummed, thinking "I wanted to visit you both but I guess I wasn't in the right time to enter and disturbed" I said while smirking at Anne who was blushing while looking away. Carl chuckled and looked at Maya "Oh, yes?" Maya then looked up and served the tray of food "Just serving this" She said.

Carl nodded and held the tray in his hands "Thank you, you may go now" He said, Maya nodded before bowing in respect and left the room, I closed the door and smirked at both of them "Oh, I see the fighting love birds before are now trying to what should I say? A kiss." I said with a wide smirk.

Anne already got flustered "Stop it now Evelyn! You already got us!" She said while covering herself, Carl chuckled and tried to uncover her face as he teased her "Come on don't be shy and show our alone moment-" Anne slapped his arms as Carl flinched "You munch balls shut up!" She said loudly, I chuckled and stood up "But since you two were busy doing love birds moment, I'll leave you two alone" I said while turning around and walked to the door to leave.

Anne looked at Carl who was already smirking at her, Anne widened her eyes and hit his arms again "What are you looking at? No time to tease me" she said while looking away, Carl moved closer and smirked "Were alone now, where were we? Oh, yes I think I remember" Carl kept teasing, Anne widened her eyes at his sudden behavior "Evelyn! Help there's a crazy animal!" She said loudly.

I shut the door and continued to laugh, oh gosh. I thought they seriously fight but in the next day you'll find them different attitudes again, I shook my head before going downstairs. Since Thomas isn't awake yet, I might go and visit Jack. It's been days since I last saw him and I'm getting worried.

What if Thomas does something to him? Walking downstairs and met a few guards guarding the dungeon, they quickly bowed down "I have to visit someone" I said and they both nodded, walking inside the door as I walked downstairs.

I kept walking further until I reached the torture room, looking around and I pinched my nose at the awful smell. The smell is like fresh blood every walls and it's so bad! Knocking on the door and one guard opened it and quickly looked down "Your Majesty, what makes you come here?" He asked.

Looking around and replied "I came to see my friend, Jack. The ex commander" I said while feeling bad, The guard looked around then back at me "The king says no one is allowed to go inside of this room" He replied, tilting my head and clenched my fist. Thomas really wants Jack to keep hidden secretly "I am your Queen and I want to see my friend" I said toughly, The guard quickly nodded and opened the door widely.

I sighed in relief, proud of myself. I should do something like that again, after all I'm the Queen and no ones disobey. Wait, when am I so proud of myself being the Queen? Shaking my thoughts as I walked inside. I gasped at Jack's condition.

Covering my lips as I gasped, my brows turned into worried "J-jack" I called him with my shaky voice, Jack then slowly lifts his head up and widened his eyes to see me here "Evelyn!" He said shockingly, I ran to him and hugged him tightly as tears began to fall from my eyes.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you that much?" I asked while trying to untie the ropes around his both wrists in a tight grip, Jack nodded while also crying silently to see me. "He is so cruel, I kept crying out for you but he ignores me and I thought that I had no hope but you're here now!" He said while crying in happiness.

I smiled while listening, holding his cheek and nodded "I'm here, now I'm gonna get you out of here, okay?" I keep trying to free of the ropes around him, Jack shook his head and some guards stands behind me "Your Majesty, you are not allowed to do that as the king says"

Turning around slowly, clenching my fist "Am I not allowed to go and do what I want as your Queen and that you are standing now is my own Kingdom" I asked while tilting head, I'm proud of being Queen. The guard seemed to taken back "I know, but the King say-" I cutted him off quickly "You obey the King, Obey me as your Queen then" I said.

He sighed and nodded unsurely what to do, I looked down to his sword "Give me it" I said but he refuses to not hurt me, gosh, hard headed guards. Pulling the sword from its cover and the guard looked shock but watched carefully. I raised the sword and cut the ropes around Jack's body.

Dropping the sword before getting up and hugged him tightly, Jack hugged me back "I missed seeing and holding you like this, Evelyn!" Jack said while crying happily in my arms, I smiled through my tears of happiness as we still hugging "I missed you too, I can't imagine how he hurted you but i'm glad you are talking to me now" I replied.

Jack chuckled before kissing my forehead, I was shock but just let him. "I wish we can both escape from here and we will go through the mountains and live there forever" Jack said as he kept me close in his arms, that sounds so good and calm but I got confused "What do you mean, Jack?" I asked.

Jack looked down at me before pulling away from the hug to look at me "you haven't accepted me yet, have you?" He asked, I shook my head and Jack seemed worried "Then, answer my question. Do you accept me?" He asked, I looked up to him unsurely what to say.

Looking down slowly as I bit my lip, holding my hand. I don't want to hurt him but I don't love him, looking up to him as I opened my mouth to speak when someone interrupted me from behind "She said no, traitor" I turned around and It's thomas, I closed my eyes and looked away. Now, this is the real doomed.
