Currently at the beach, Nhazul was with Lana, as she and Popplio were once again practicing their Balloons making skills, with it placing one over Lana's head.
Lana: Yes, it's perfect!
Nhazul: That's new. You're not trying to make a full body one?
Lana: No, since Popplio's Balloons aren't strong enough yet, I figured this would be the next best thing! Now I can take a stroll underwater!
Nhazul: ...-_-... I mean, you could just use a rebreather...
Lana just looked at Nhazul pouting, as he just shrugged his shoulders.
Nhazul: Just saying...
Lana: Well, I prefer using Popplio's Balloons...!
Nhazul just rolled his eyes and chuckled.
Nhazul: Hey, don't let me stand in the way of what you prefer.
Lana then smiled at Nhazul again, before walking towards the water.
Lana: I wanna go for a quick dive before school. Wait for me?
Nhazul: Sure. Don't take too long.
Lana: Right, let's go Popplio!
Popplio: Lio!
Both Lana and Popplio both dived into the water, leaving Nhazul and Eevee on the surface. As the two swam down to the bottom, they saw multiple Water Type Pokémon swimming around, amazed.
Lana: This is amazing, Popplio!
Popplio: Pop!
As the two continued to swim, they both heard the cry of a Pokémon in pain.
Lana: What was that?
The two swam to where they heard the cry and they saw a Tentacruel brutality attacking a Growlithe, holding it down with it's tendrils, repeatedly hitting it with Poison Jabs, poisoning it.
Lana: Oh no! Growlithe is going to drown if we don't save it! Popplio, Aqua Jet!
Popplio: Lio!
Using Aqua Jet, Popplio slammed right into Tentacruel, making it release the Growlithe, as Lana swam and grabbed it. Angered, the Tentacruel used Water Pulse.
Lana: Popplio, Bubble Beam!
Using Bubble Beam, Popplio clashed with Tentacruel's Water Pulse, creating an explosion.
Lana: Popplio, let's go, hurry!
Popplio: Lio!
Using this chance to escape, Lana and Popplio quickly swam to the surface meeting Nhazul, who ran up to her.
Nhazul: What was that?!
Lana: We need to get the Pokémon center! It's really hurt!
Nhazul looked down and saw the hurt Growlithe.
Nhazul: Right!
Nhazul didn't bother asking questions, ashe pulls out his Pokéball and called out Latias.
Latias: Tias!
Nhazul: Latias, take us to the Pokémon center, hurry!
Latias: Tias!
Nhazul hopped on Latias, helping Lana on as the two quickly flew to the Pokémon center.

After Nhazul and Lana took Growlithe to the Pokémon Center to have it treated, and as they watched, they began to notice that Growlithe looked extremely different from a normal one.
Nhazul: Is it me, or does that Growlithe look really different...
Lana: Yeah, I noticed that too. When we saved it, I was just worried about getting safe to notice back then...
After Nurse Joy had finished treating Growlithe, she walked out to Nhazul and Lana with an perplexed look.
Lana: Nurse Joy! How's Growlithe?
Nurse Joy: Growlithe will be fine. I treated it's injures and cured the poison. But my I ask you a question?
Lana: Uh, sure.
Nurse Joy: Just where did you find this Growlithe? I've never seen one like it.
Lana: I found it while I was underwater. It was being attacked by an Tentacruel.
Nurse Joy: Underwater? Then that definitely explains it.
Nhazul: Explains what?
Nurse Joy: Growlithe's tail isn't like a normal one. It's more fin like.
Nhazul and Lana both looked at Nurse Joy surprised.
Nhazul: Fin like?
Nurse Joy: And given it's coloring, I have to suspect it is a Water Type.
Lana: Water Type.
Nurse Joy: That's right. So, you may have just discovered a new Regional Form
Lana's eyes widened when Nurse Joy said that.
Lana: I discovered it...?

Upon having Growlithe treated, Nhazul and Lana made their way to school, showing everyone the Growlithe Lana had found, completely shocking everyone.
Everyone: Whoa!
Kukui: Yeah, this is without a doubt a Regional Form.
Ash: So cool!
Lillie: I'm extremely interested in knowing what made it take such a form to begin with.
Mallow: Nice job, Lana!
Kiawe: I'm so used to seeing Growlithe as a Fire Type, and seeing a Water variant is really jarring...
Sophocles: I wonder if they're other undiscovered forms of Electric Types!
Kukui: I'm sure there are. We just have to find them.
Serena: So, Lana, what are you going to do with Growlithe? Are you going to catch it?
Lana: Huh?
Mallow: Yeah, you should!
Kukui: Growlithe looks like it's taken a real liking to you.
Kukui said, as Lana looked down at Growlithe, seeing it was looking at her happily, barking at her.
Growlithe: Growlithe!
Nhazul: I think it's grateful for you saving it.
Lana just looked at Growlithe and smiled.
Lana: Do you want to come with me, Growlithe?
Growlithe: Growlithe, Growl!
Smiling, Lana took out a Diveball, and tossed it at Growlithe, as it allowed it's to be caught. Picking it up, Lana smiled happily at her new catch.
Lana: I got an Alolan Growlithe!
Popplio: Popplio!
Ash: Congratulations!
Mallow: Nice catch!
Nhazul: Guess you're making steps towards your dream.
Lana: Huh?
Nhazul: That's your dream, right? Explore the world in a Bubble and find new undiscovered Pokémon. That's essentially what you did today on a smaller scale.
Lana looked at Nhazul surprised, having realized he was right. She continued to look at the Pokéball, gaining a determined look, looking at Popplio.
Lana: Popplio! Let's keep working hard to discover and learn about even more Pokémon!
Popplio: Popp, Popplio!
