Hachimitsu, Shikimori and Izumi all devised a plan on how to make their friends Inuzuka and Nekozaki closer.
"Alright, let's start with attempt one." Hachimitsu began.
ATTEMPT 1: A Bit Of A Push
"Shikimori, Izumi, you both have to push both of them while they're talking to each other. That way, we can get an accidental hug from them and that will at least get them slightly embarrassed." Hachimitsu devises her plan.
While changing classes, Inuzka and Nekozaki were coincidentally standing next to each other while having a conversation, waiting for the teacher.
"Hey, Inuzuka. Did you catch the new Chainsmokers album?" Nekozaki began,
"Yeah! It was so good. Probably in my Top 10 albums of all time."
"You got that right! So what's your favourite song?"
"Hmm, I like all of them. But the one that stands out is Cyanide!" An excited Inu replies.
"Eh? iPad was the best track on the album!"
"No, it's Cyanide!"
"iPad!"
"Cyanide!"
"iPad!"
While all of that was happening, Shikimori and Izumi go up behind them and push them towards each other, but unfortunately managed to catch themselves before they go for an accidental hug.
"What the hell are you guys doing!?" Inu and Nekozaki questioned in unison.
"N-Nothing!" The couple both replied at the same time.
"Well that was an L." A defeated Hachimitsu concluded.
PHASE 2: Scare Tactic
"We all know that Inuzuka is scared of snakes, right? So the plan here is to leave a fake snake so he can suck up to Nekozaki while he gets scared.
"W-Wouldn't that not work? Also where did you get the toy snakes from!?" A confused Izumi questions.
"That's none of your business, Izumi." Hachimitsu concludes.
Nekozaki and Inu go on to have lunch in the rooftop as they were waiting for the rest of the gang. waiting for the rest of the gang, who were trying to make them a thing.
The three hide next to the wall the two were sitting in with toy snakes Hachimitsu provided, and waited for the perfect moment.
A/N: They were there first after all effectively agreed they would be having lunch at the rooftop.
"What's taking those guys so long?" A confused Nekozaki questions.
"I don't know, maybe they were trying to get Hachimitsu out of the chair because she seems to be getting a bit bigger!" Inuzuka starts cracking jokes, effectively pissing her off.
"Hey, don't talk about Hachimitsu that way!" Nekozaki defends her friend and starts pouting.
Hachimitsu overhears this, effectively pissing her off.
Then, the three throw the snakes next to them, effectively scaring Inuzuka
"Ahhh! Oh shit!" Inuzuka freaks out as he runs away, which made the plan fail.
"Pfft, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA." Nekozaki starts laughing. "That is the greatest thing I've seen all week! You should've seen the look on your face!"
"Oh shut up! Th-They're toy snakes, anyway. And who the hell did this?"
"Well that was an L." Hachimitsu sticks out her head expressing disappointment.
"Ha-Hachimitsu!? What the hell were you doing there?" A confused Inuzuka replies.
"I was there because you insulted my lifestyle."
"L-Lifestyle!?" A surprised Inuzuka says.
"Hm? Izumi, Mi-chon? What were you doing there?" Nekozaki notices.
"O-Oh, were just about to have lunch with you guys so we figured we'd throw in some snakes..." Shikimori said, with an awkward smile.
"Ye-Yeah, just a sophomore prank, everyone!" Izumi awkwardly laughs.
"Well, okay! But Inu being scared of a toy snake HAS ME IN TEARS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA." Nekozaki couldn't help but laugh after seeing Inuzuka's reaction.
"Oh shut up!" An embarrased Inu replies. "If you were in my position you know how it'd scare the shit out of you."
"Psh, whatever!" Nekozaki replied, not being fazed.
PHASE 3: Lewd Hand-holding
"We all know that Nekozaki and Inuzuka love Pocky, so what better way than offer them my Pocky so they can unintentionally hold hands." Hachimitsu devises the third attempt.
"Thanks for the soda, earlier Inu!" Nekozaki thanks him for treating her to soda after winning the bet they had earlier today.
"Yeah, no problem. But I'm going to beat you next time!"
"Oh, go ahead!" Nekozaki replied, not taking him seriously.
"Hey, guys. Do you two fancy some Pocky before lunch ends?" Hachimitsu offers, opening a packet.
"Oh, Pocky! Gimme some Pocky!" Nekozaki happily says.
"Hm? Oh sure." Inuzuka replies,
"Don't mind if I d-"
And just like that, the two accidentally hold hands as they were going in for some Pocky.
"Ah." Both reply at the same time.
They then let go of each other in a matter of seconds, showing signs of embarrasment from the two as they both avoid eye contact.
"S-Sorry!" Inu aplogizes.
"Y-Yeah...sorry to you too..." Nekozaki, said in an embarrassing tone.
"Well that was an L." Hachimitsu, Shikimori and Izumi reply in unison.
"E-Eh!? What do you mean!?" Both replied in unison.
LATER THAT DAY.
"They are literally and utterly hopeless." A defeated Hachimitsu surrenders.
"Nothing has worked apparently. I think it's better than to just wait." Shikimori also concedes defeat.
"Yeah, it's better to just wait. It took me two months just to tell Shikimori-san I liked her, so patience is key!" Izumi added.
"E-Eh? Izumi-kun?" An embarrased Shikimori-san says, "U-Um, but I didn't like you first t-though!?"
"Oh, really? Don't act like you didn't like me when we first met at the entrance ceremony!" Izumi added, while showing a bright smile, metaphorically killing Shikimori-san.
"S-Stop that, Izumi-san!"
"Hehe, cute."
"Flirties." Hachimitsu says, interrupting their moment.
"We forgot!" The couple screamed in unison, forgetting that Hachimitsu was still there.
They later head out of the classroom and decided to go home.
"Well, it's up to them if they want to become a thing." Hachimitsu began. "Such a shame not any one of them have made a first move."
Shikimori and Izumi let out an awkward laugh at what their friend said, before spotting Inuzuka and Nekozaki near them.
"It's them, hide!" Shikimori whispers to the two.
Now we turn to Inu and Nekozaki, with Inu having a request for her.
"H-Hey, Nekozaki, meet me at the back of the school in a few minutes."
"Hm? What for?"
"I...I have something to tell you, but I don't wanna say it here, okay!?"
"Ehhh, are you gonna admit that I'm the better athlete than you? Just admit it right now!" Nekozaki cracks a joke, pissing Inu off.
"Oh shut up! J-Just meet me at the back of the school."
"Yeah, okay! But I'm still the better athlete!" Nekozaki agrees with a bright smile on her face, with Inu being pissed off by her arrogance while his cheeks also go red.
Meanwhile the three wingmates were hiding behind a wall, overhearing their conversation.
"Guys, I think it's happening." Izumi concluded.
