The heroes are now finally backstage and Endeavour immediately grabs Keigo by the collar of his jacket.
"I'm sorry if I threw you through a loop man" Keigo says as he just lets it all happen.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Endeavour asks as he holds Keigo in the air.
"Everyone else was just spouting the same normal boring stuff, I felt like somebody needed to make an impact" Keigo says as he looks at Endeavour.
"You were trying to test me" Endeavour says as he defends himself.
"I wasn't, I was trying to help you. It turned out well anyways. It's not like I'm an All Might fanboy or anything. I sure never wanted to become like him. Either way, I was still shocked by his retirement. I'm not suggesting we need another shiny icon like him it just goes without saying that we could definitely use a new leader right about now. I thought you nailed it, you sounded really cool on stage" Keigo says with a smile.
"Don't you want to be the new leader?" Endeavour asks as he puts Keigo down.
"Do I come off as a leader type? I struggle with one work study student as it is" Keigo says as he tries to centre his balance, "I'd have much more freedom down in the lower ranks, somewhere in the twenties".
"People who think this whole hero thing is a game infuriate me" Endeavour growls, "we're done here, you owe the others an apology".
"I've got one more thing for you" Keigo says as he looks down.
"I said we're done" Endeavour says as he goes to leave the room.
"I want to team up with you. I have a new sidekick that joined my agency after the Camino incident. I just need you for one case. The thing is, there's been some troubling eye witness accounts in my hometown. Do you remember the Nomu's?" Keigo asks as Endeavour stops.
Keigo and Endeavour make it to their dinner as they sit down at the table.
"Why are there three chairs?" Endeavour asks as he notices the one next to Keigo.
"I did say I had a new sidekick at my agency, she'll be joining us soon" Keigo says as he pours some water in his cup.
"Are they going to be much longer? I don't have a lot of time" Endeavour retorts as he takes the water from Keigo.
"You third guest is here" the server says from outside the door as the door opens and Koko walks into the room.
"It's nice to see you again, Endeavour" Koko says as she bows her head.
"What are you doing here?" Endeavour asks as Koko walks over.
"This is my new sidekick, Koko from U.A. or should I say Sakura, my friend for about 10 years" Keigo says as Koko sits down.
"How is this possible?" Endeavour asks as he looks at Koko.
"Well I'm his friend for one and for two the heroes commission didn't really give me a choice" Koko says as she pours herself some water.
The three of them eat and Koko and Endeavour has finished.
"Have you done?" Keigo asks as he leans over to steal some of Endeavour's food.
"Eat whatever you want you glutton" Endeavour says as he moves his dishes towards Keigo.
"I know I'm awful but like I said, I can't control myself" Keigo says as he picks up his chopsticks, "did you know that I scouted your son Shoto after the sports festival?".
"You scouted Shoto but not me?" Koko asks as she slaps his arm.
"Would you have come here?" Keigo asks as he looks at her.
"No" Koko says shyly as she picks up a screw from Keigo's plate.
"Exactly" Keigo says as he sticks his tongue out, "I admit I had ulterior motives when I scouted him. Having the son of the number two hero at my agency would have looked pretty good but I'm glad Tsukuyomi was the one who joined me in the end. Shoto failed his exam, that's a pretty bad mark against his brand".
"You know a lot for someone who didn't go to U.A." Endeavour says as he looks through the desserts menu.
"Koko here keeps me pretty well informed" Keigo says as he ruffles Koko's hair.
"Get to the point. I didn't come all the way here to talk about nonsense like this" Endeavour says as he closes the menu.
"It's like I mentioned, rumours" Keigo says as he takes a sip of his drink.
"You said it was the remodelled Nomu, the grotesque puppets the League of Villains sends out" Endeavour says as he places the menu down.
"When All For One was captured by Koko in Camino, they found a few dozen Nomu there as well. The League has been plenty busy since then but suspiciously, none of them have appeared. We might have snagged them all or maybe, All For One was hiding the rest of them away somewhere which means the League is looking for them" Keigo says as he wipes his mouth.
"Since you asked me to team up with you, I guess you have some definitive proof and not just some speculation" Endeavour says as he looks at Keigo.
"I don't, it's only what I heard" Keigo says with a shrug.
"Did you really just ask the number one hero to team up with you without any proof?" Koko whispers as she pulls Keigo towards her by his wing.
"For one, ow, for two, I thought it would work" Keigo says as he side glances at Endeavour.
"This is why I'm doing all the planning from now on" Koko says as she lets go of Endeavour.
"Can I get the check?" Endeavour calls out, "we're done here".
"Calm down, there's more to it" Keigo says as he looks at Endeavour, "my hometown isn't the only place where these Nomu have been spotted. I bet that's news for you huh? There's been reported sightings from across the country. Not so much that the media picked up on it yet but there's been plenty of neighbourhood gossip about the monsters. That kind of talk gets filtered down to students and gets spread quickly".
"What is it that you know?" Endeavour asks with a sigh.
"The first time I heard about them was when I was on a trip talking to some locals" Keigo says as Koko starts to stack the plates at the end of the table, "I looked into it with the help of the police, a quiet investigation. We couldn't find anything though and we came up dry. But it did make me a little bit curious. So I flew around the country, doing some digging of my own whilst Koko talked amongst the students at other schools. Some details were different but similar rumours were popping up in areas that were completely unconnected with each other. Still, there was no proof and only talk, but after the incidents at U.A., Hosu, the training camp and at Camino, everyone knows what those creepy genetically engineered beasts are and they're getting worried. I think some idiot is telling scary stories to sit up the public, drumming up the panic and trying their best to spread it across the country. I know you heard that flasher on the street earlier. He yelled about metahuman liberation, now does that ring a bell? It's from that villain biography that was recently published. It's pretty popular right now and I wouldn't be surprised if that's what influenced him. Those kind of books are always going to sell better when society is ill at ease, fears good for business".
"Cut the crap. I'm tired of you dancing around the point. What do you want?" Endeavour asks angrily.
"For you to become a dependable leader now that you're the number one" Keigo says simply, "I want you to figure out the truth around these rumours and if there isn't, for you to stand up and tell everyone that there's nothing to worry about. I'm going to keep on doing my own thing. I don't know if you got it from my speech but I see myself as your producer. I just want to take it easy and have some fun. I'd like to go out on leisurely patrols and complain that nothing exciting happened and then tuck myself into bed at night. Doesn't that sound like the perfect life? My goal is to make this world a place where heroes have way too much time on their hands".
Koko stands up and she walks towards the window.
"That's not good" Koko says as she spots something in the distance.
"Here's your tea" their server says as she enters the room.
Koko jumps back as she pulls Keigo, the woman and Endeavour to wall out of the way as a new Nomu with a hood breaks through the window.
"Who's the strongest person here?" the Nomu asks with distorted speech.
The Nomu grabs Koko and flies out the window with her, holding above the ground below her.
"If you won't come out to play, I'll make you" the Nomu says as it drops Koko.
Koko calls on Keigo's quirk as red wings sprout from her back, blood going everywhere. Koko takes rips off her jacket to reveal her hero costume.
"Koko, evacuate the street and protect the civilians" Endeavour orders, "Hawks, you focus on getting everyone out of the nearby buildings and onto the street. This one's mine".
