"Guess what?!" Meredith exclaimed.
It's been a month since the Hannah incident and everything seemed awfully quiet. It was great.
We had looked all around the house and we did find little cameras attached to furniture, the mirrors, you name it. What a psychopath.
I honestly just thought that she was just hesitant and didn't want to let go of Luke, but it had come to the conclusion that she was "mentally unstable".
"What?" I asked, coming closer to Meredith eagerly.
She breathed in and out slowly for dramatic effect. "Calum asked me to be his girlfriend!" She exclaimed, falling over into the bed in happiness. Her face was bright red and a big smile was plastered across her face.
"I mean it was just perfect. He brought me to this Italian place and you know I love me some Italian food, he was so sweet too." She started, "He brought me to that cliff where we went on our first date and then he was all sweet and he asked me right there and then."
"You guys have such a perfect relationship, it's killing me." I groaned, "I could never have such a perfect relationship."
"You can, it takes time." She explained, "The perfect guy will swoop into your life like superman."
"Do you really believe that?" I asked and she nodded.
"Maybe the perfect guy is right there in front of you and you don't even realize." She said and I groaned in frustration, "Didn't you go on a date with Luke last week?"
"It wasn't really a date," I told her, "It was just ice cream."
It's not that I was desperate for a boyfriend, it's just it's nice to find someone who really loves you, am I right?
"So how are you and Luke really?" She asked and I sighed.
"Same old same old." I replied, "Except now we don't hang around much anymore except for that time when we got ice cream. I miss him."
It's not that Mere wasn't fun to be around, I finally had a girl in my life. But I miss the stupid conversations Luke and I had and the Netflix marathons.
"It's always good to spend time apart," she consulted, "it balances out the relationship so that you and the other person are not anti-social. Plus you two are in the same classes and the play."
"That's right! The play!" I exclaimed.
I was pretty excited for the play because my aspiration was to become an actress some day, maybe even be in a movie. The play was 2 weeks away.
"I guess so, but he's been very secretive about it. I mean he told me he went to band practice and he didn't even bring his guitar." I frowned.
Maybe Luke just doesn't want to spend time with me. Is it me? Did I do something?
He has friends and I shouldn't keep him away from them. I understand really, but it would be nice if he were to be honest.
"Doesn't Michael have an extra guitar? Maybe he just forgot it." Meredith assumed.
"Did I do something wrong?" I blurted out, "Is he trying to avoid me?"
"Honey please, he's not trying to avoid you." Meredith said, "How about we spend a girls day at the mall, maybe by a cute dress."
"We need to get your mind off Luke." She continued, "He's not the only thing in your life."
I somewhat agreed with her. My whole life it's been Luke did this and Luke did that but now it's we did this and we did that. We were inseparable, but I didn't realize that I've become so anti-social because of this.
"Sure. Why not? I mean I could use some new clothes." I hopped off the bed and walked to my closet to change my clothes.
"C'mon Emily!" Meredith yelled from the front door, "I heard there's a Starbucks special today and we need to get there!"
"Okay, okay." I rushed down the stairs, "I'm coming."
We both walked out and shuffled our way into the car. I slid into the passengers seat of the car and Meredith took the wheel.
"Have you ever thought of driving? I mean it's really fun." Meredith said.
"I just don't want to." I sighed.
It's not that I didn't want to, it was that I was scared to be there on the road. It's a chilling sensation being in a car and you're the one controlling it. It's not a feeling that I want to experience.
She started driving and I plugged in my phone. She thought that my music was more interesting than hers and I completely agreed. It's biased because it's my music but I'm not complaining.
It wasn't exactly a long ride to the mall, nor was it hard to find parking.
"This is the best coffee I've ever had." You would think that 'oh yeah she's so mainstream because she likes Starbucks blah blah blah' but no I actually really think that this drink tasted heavenly.
"I agree." She slurped, glancing over at the wall when suddenly her eyes popped out of her head (not literally, that would be disgusting) as if she had seen a ghost.
"What's up?" I asked, glancing towards her direction and slightly turned around.
"I think we should get onto the shopping." She said quickly before grabbing her bag.
"What is your problem?" I asked, confused raising an eyebrow.
"Nothing. I just think that we should have a head start because who knows when we'll be done." She chuckled forcefully, taking a sip of her drink.
"Okay..." I said as we walked out of the store.
I opened my bag to grab my phone but I noticed that my wallet wasn't there. I probably left it on the table.
"Wait I forgot my wallet." I said turning back. She was too busy texting to even know that I had left.
I walked back into the Starbucks and went to our table to retrieve my wallet. I looked up from the corner of my eye, and saw a familiar blonde.
"Luke?" I questioned staring intensely at the blonde boy.
There was another girl at the table, laughing along with him. I couldn't help but feel my insides boil and I didn't know why.
"That son of a bitch." I murmured and stomped out of the store.
"Where'd you go?" Meredith asked as I walked up to her.
"I went to get my wallet and I saw Luke in there with some girl." I scoffed.
"Looks like somebody's jealous." Meredith cooed and I furiously shook my head.
"I am not jealous." I huffed.
"Fine. Maybe you think you're not jealous, but you actually are." She teased, throwing away her cup into the garbage bin, "If you say you don't like him, you wouldn't be jealous."
"I just...I don't know, I just feel kind of weird seeing him around other girls." I confessed, looking down at my feet.
"That means you dig him." Meredith confirmed, "Now c'mon, look up, be confident because we have a lot of shopping to do."
I nodded, taking a glance over my shoulder at Luke and the girl.
Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Maybe he's just not interested in me. Am I even interested in him?

So I literally can't make my mind because some days I want this book to end but others I'm like nooooo I like it too much.
So today I'm announcing that hey I like this book so I'm keeping it going.
But in real news the tour is starting tomorrow like what
I'm not going ;( but I'm uber excited for the second album
I'm sorry if I confusing to people I confuse myself sometimes
Anyways I'm going to go back into my cave see ya later
