So im - im still here - this story just gets longer and longer cuz Ion wanna end it abruptly 😭 like damn I wanna have a proper Han River picnic and then also have them finish the performance in the end like tf - it's gotta be satisfactory - but at this point I could have given it it's own book n just made it a whole ass thing 😂😂
Anyways - should be one or two more chapters after this ( probably two knowing me )

~ Y/n pov ~
We reach Han River and before we pick out a spot yena excitedly suggests
"Hey, we should take a look around to find the perfect spot right??? " I nod in agreement "hey y/n.. what if I find my own kind.. there are ducks here sometimes after all "
I giggle "we should find a spot with some extra duckies so you can be with your kind. Let's go ~" I can't help but smile
Yena skips ahead and points out pretty things and funny things she finds. She points at a couple that's bickering over who dropped ice cream.. she giggles because the girl switches her ice cream with the boy and he's left with an empty cone. Cuz she argues it's his fault. He just accepts it "ya - why don't they just share" she comments and giggles ... "share huh, Yeahh why don't they..." I reply.. thinking about sharing edibles with yena makes me think of the damn iced tea again but I snap out of as she finally settles on a spot.
" Y/N! duckssssss..! " she points toward a lain of grass by the water where the water is filled with ducks. And she sets off toward it without a second thought "ohhhh you found your kind ! ~ great let's sit here then" I chuckle and place the blanket on the grass and then put down our groceries. Then I look over at her and I see her squatting down sitting on her own heels. Imitating the ducks.. I pull out my phone and snap some pictures of her, she doesn't notice cuz she's too busy living the role "ya, ducky it's all set now" I giggle at her reaction "oh - you set it all up ~ thanks y/n " she smiles and snacks back to reality. I let her sit and grab something to snack before I show her the pics...
While yena is busy munching on a strawberry I pull out my phone "you really gotta see this.. some pics I took earlier. It must be my favorite few pics I ever took. They turned out suuuuper great" I talked them up as if they where pictures of some amazing view.. which in my opinion.. they are but... "what? Okey show me show me I wanna see!" She said as she finishes her strawberry
I show her the pictures I took of her with the duck. And giggle at how similar they are. Her pouty lips and her being a little ball on two short legs "- w - wait you took pictures of that - what d - what do you mean favorite - now you're just joking with me y/n ya ! " she stutters and she gets a little flustered
"Hey I wasn't kidding. These are my favorite pictures" I look at her seriously which only makes her even more flustered. But she snaps back quickly
"Then I should get to take pictures of you too" she pouts
"Ohhh the ducky came out again!" I chuckle " you'll just have to be sneaky I suppose, I playfully wink just as a joke and she seems to accept the challenge
After about two hours we pack up and go back to our homes. On the way to my house I drop yena off at hers cuz it's just a little further from where she lives.
On the way back we keep joking and laughing together but we also talk about how fun it's gonna be to do the performance next weekend. And with a. "Bye bye ducky, see you tomorrow " and a smile I bid her goodbye for the day. And she replies with "see you tomorrow Pabo ~ " and this time she gives me a playful wink - before I can react she's already closed her front door "..p-Pabo?? Does she mean im stupid or... is that my nickname - YA - oh come on.. why is it kinda cute tho... " while I mumble to myself I walk back home and once there I shower then I do some chores around the house before I sit down on the couch to watch a kdrama or whatever. But before I get very far with watching I fall asleep. And sleep til morning
~ next day at campus Yena pov ~
As I'm about to open the door to our practice room I hear someone calling me... and I know exactly who so I turn around with a smile
"Good morning ducky ~" y/n greets me as we now both stand in front of our practice room
"Good morning Pabo ~ guess we got here at the same time for once huh " I smile
Y/n seems to get a bit flustered when I use the new nickname i came up with.. I don't mean pabo in a bad way rly.. it's just a really cute nickname.. so I figured it was perfect...
We go inside and start our warmups y/n seems to be deep in thought after our greeting but snaps out of it as soon as I mention... "soooo, we only have one more week til the performance... after that we will be back to our usual practice huh..? Probably at least.."
Y/n looks at me and suddenly looks a little sad "Wah - I haven't even thought of that.. it's so natural to me to practice with you, it feels like we have done it forever.... Well even if we have to go back to our normal practice... we should still make sure to stay in contact right?"
Why does y/n seem so straight forward all of a sudden.. and why am I suddenly flustered.. it feels like we've done it forever... yeah it does. It really does feel natural to practice together... but that means we both feel that way.. wahhhhhh calm down ( this all happened within a second... ) "ahh, you think so too?? Yeah I agree, it does feel natural... and if we don't keep contact, I'll force myself back into your life one way or another, you're... wait... why don't we just put in a request to form a permanent dance team.. since we aren't assigned to a specific performance team. We just have practice groups so far... - " I look at y/n's reaction as I say that and I'm met with an expression that's a mix of "why didn't i think of that" and " that's the best idea ever " and then a not and a hum
"We totally should.. right after the performance. You gotta have practiced together and performed together to make a team so - that will be perfect - waaaah.... That.. might just be the best idea ever" y/n seems to realize what just came out of their mouth cuz half a second after the sentence finished their face is turned the other way. Followed by the rest of their body. Sitting holding around their knees just looking away
Why is that adorable.. why is it making me feel so warm... without even thinking. I stand up and bounce my way over to y/n and then I.. " hehe arent I smart ! Then let's make the performance great so they can't refuse" I say this in y/n's ear, back hugging them. Just out of pure instinct. I couldn't resist
~ y/n pov ~
While I sit here holding my knees looking away I hear a few bouncy steps and then I feel a pair of arms wrap around me and I realize yena is giving me a backhug - Wah - won a mmos - not even my thoughts are working what the hell.. ahhhhhh I'm burning up I gotta get loose help "ah - yeah ~ we'd better !" I quickly agree to make her let go of me and stand up. I stand up as well my body facing her but my face still looking away "well... let's just practice then.. " Geeze I'm way too flustered what the hell - that sounds so depressing- I face her and flash a smile knowing my cheeks are still slightly red
She smiles back and agrees. So we start the music and get into position. I try to clear my head. As best as I can before we begin to dance. Our chemistry is getting better by the day, I really wonder if it's cuz of practice or.. if it's cuz our chemistry outside of dancing is also improving.. a lot ..
~ 3rd person pov ~
While y/n is busy thinking about their chemistry, yena is thinking about how suddenly bold y/n gets in the middle of being shy. She's thinking about that flushed smile. And she feels her cheeks getting flushed too, but even with their thoughts filled with other things their chemistry is indeed on point. And the choreography is second nature to them by now so they move on muscle memory alone. And they end the song perfectly even tho their thoughts where elsewhere
"Wahhhh we are really getting the hang of this y/n.. should we shoot a practice video? Oh we should shoot solo ones too so we can see the difference chemistry makes.. if the difference is small we gotta work on it" Yena playfully winks sticking out her tongue
Y/n smiles seeing her acting cute and agrees "sure let's record ~ the tripods should be in the room in the back right ? I'll go get one ~ " Yena nods and y/n proceeds to go get a tripod for them to place one of their phones on. While y/n is busy doing that yena decides to put her phone in her bag so they'll use y/n's phone. That way she can snap pictures and get her own videos while y/n dances "hehe.. I'm so smart" she mumbles to herself.
With everything set up. Y/n gets ready to start recording. Setting a timer for the recording to start in 10 seconds as yena starts the music. They film the whole choreography together first. This time solely focusing on the performance. Exchanging smiles and looks through the whole thing. And then they end the video both going up to the camera posing and saying their goodbyes as if it was a live video. "Let's look at it when we have done all three videos? I wanna record next " Yena suggests
To which y/n agrees "sure ~ I'll start the recording. And the music. I'll set it to 15 seconds this time so I have time to start the music " Yena smiles and gets into place " right ~ thanks y/n ~"
The music Plays and yena starts to dance. Y/n can't do anything but watch her as she performs. She flawlessly gets through the choreography, looking confident only charming y/n even more. Even to the point where y/n just stands. Still right by the butten to start the music. Just staring from start to finish.
When yena notices she gets more motivated and ends up sending a few extra glances y/n's way. And y/n just enjoys the show. She finishes perfectly and y/n claps for her "amazing as always I see ~"
Yena now takes her chance to tease y/n a little " oh I bet, your eyes where pretty glued to me the entire time. Must have been pretty amazing then" she again playfully winks and y/n now gets flustered again "aishhh, can't deny that I guess.."
As it's y/n's turn yena opts to start the recording and the music this time as y/n gets into position. Determined to make sure yena is the one staring this time. Which proves to work out very well as yena sits down with her phone and starts to snap a few pictures while y/n focuses on the dance. But before long forgets the phone and also just stares. Eyes glued to y/n
After the performance y/n's face screams "who's staring now ??" And as y/n approaches yena she snaps out of staring and stands up quickly to clap " great jooob ~ I can't get over being so happy you're the one who showed up to do this with me"
"Aaah, why I appreciate it ducky. Your pretty good at staring too tho. Just figured I'd inform you" this time y/n winks. ( the writer is currently cringing at being cheesy but it's okey 🖐🏻😔)
"Aaaish come on - fine... but staring isn't the only thing I managed at least" she takes out her phone " now I have found my new favorite pictures hehehe"
Y/n blushes realizing what she means.... " - I - y - you .... Why do I get the feeling you planned this...."
Yena makes an annoying "idk what you're talking about face " and y/n just chuckles "so I'm right huh.. how sneaky.. guess it worked out for you huh... we're even now then... " they exchange smiles and then they continue to practice until dinner time. With just a snack break here and there.
Their week continues like this. Practice filled with them being playful. And teasing each other here and there..
Before long half the week has gone and only two days remain to their performance
