Vicki's POV
I had to go to the high school, filling out the last of my paperwork and grabbing my degree. On the way out I see Caroline walking up to Elena and Bonnie. Bonnie! She's back!
I catch up with Care and link my arm with hers. She looks up and a bright smile overcomes her face.
"I didn't know Bonnie was back?" I ask.
"She just got back today, we've been texting pretty much all the time."
"Us too!"
We reach Bonnie and Elena and I go straight into hugging her.
"Bonnie! I'm so glad you're home! I know that Care and I have talked to you every day but we missed you!"
"How are you doing?" Caroline asks pulling Bonnie into her own embrace.
She smiles at both of us. "Better, just better. You know, just glad to be back, and try to keep myself busy."
She beams. "Well, I can help with that. Major wardrobe confab needed asap. I need you and Vic to help me find the perfect dress for the founders court."
"I'm in. Text me the details. I need to head out, see you guys later. Great seeing you Bonnie."
"Bye!" I hear from my two favorite girls as I walk away.
After school is over I go to pick up Caroline and Bonnie so that we can go shopping. I am so glad that we've become friends because I was worried that they hated the old Vicki too much.
When we get to the best dress shop in town, we immediately start browsing.
As I'm looking through the racks I am looking for her famous dress from the show, she looked gorgeous in it. Green is a great color for her.
Bonnie holds up a yellow princessy dress.
"Hmm, a little too beauty and the beast."
"I agree, plus yellow might wash you out."
Then Caroline goes to try on a blue dress that she found. She walks out and it looks great on her but it isn't the one.
I continue searching through the racks until I finally find it. I hold it up and one she lays eyes on it she gasps.
She runs over and looks at it up close. She picks it up, feeling the material of the dress and looks up at me. "It perfect." She whispers, a look of awe on her face.
I beam at her. "Go ahead. Try it on."
As she is going to try it on I go over to the dress clerk without Bonnie noticing me.
I look into her eyes. "The dress is already payed for. By me. We don't need to pay for it."
"You don't need to pay for it." I smile and she snaps out of her daze.
I walk back to the changing rooms just in time to see Caroline try on her dress.
"You looks gorgeous Care!"
"You really think so?" She asks timidly.
"It's perfect." Bonnie agrees.
I finish up curling Caroline's hair, thus finishing her look.
"There, all done."
She turns away from the mirror in order to look at me. "Thank you Vicki so much for helping me today."
"Of course. I know how hard it is not having your mom to help out so I thought I'd step in. Plus you remind me of someone I used to know."
"Who?"
"Her name was Sophia."
She stands up with tears in her eyes and brings me into a hug. "Thank you."
"You're welcome. Now dry those tears, we don't want to ruin your makeup, do we?" We both chuckle and separate.
I run down my dress, brushing off any makeup that ended up there and walk over to her dress.
"Ready?"
"Yes! Are you kidding?!"
"I have no doubt that you'll win. I'll leave you to go change and head downstairs." I bring her into another hug. "You got this."
I go downstairs and mingle with the guests, grabbing a glass of champagne on the way.
I'm actually enjoying this until fucking John Gilbert walks up to me.
"Vicki." He greets.
"What do you want John."
"I know about your secret."
I scoff. "And?"
"You need to leave town. I don't want you near my daughter."
I chuckle. "I'm not friends with Elena. We are acquaintances at most." He looks surprised. "What? You're surprised that I don't give a crap about your threats John?"
I walk up closer to him, face to face. "Did you know that I'm a witch as well as a vampire. I could make that ring disappear before you even notice it. You could be dead in an instant. Don't test me."
I leave him looking scared and walk over to the stairs. They've already begun introducing the girls.
"Ms. Caroline Forbes, and her escort Jeffrey Lockwood Hamilton."
She begins walking down the stairs and she looks amazing!
I set down my glass and clap for her, louder than everyone I might add but I don't care.
"Ms. Elena Gilbert, escorted by Mr. Stefan Salvatore."
I look and notice that I don't see him. I look to Damon and nudge him before looking back to Elena. He gets the hint and fills in as her escort.
I roll my eyes and sigh. Seriously Stefan!
We follow out into the garden and watch their dance. The sexual tension from Damon and Elena is hitting me in waves.
On the plus side, Caroline is dancing perfectly graceful and elegant. I can't wait to see her face when she wins!
We are back inside for the crowning of Miss Mystic Falls.
"So without further ado, it is my honor to announce our very own Miss Mystic Falls, Ms. Caroline Forbes!"
I cheer and the look on her face is priceless. She deserves this.
She hugs Elena and goes to get the sash and crown.
After everyone has dispersed, I walk over to Caroline and bring her into the biggest hug ever.
"Congratulations! I knew you had it in the bag!"
She is absolutely glowing. "Thank you!"
"I'll see you later yeah?" She nods.
I sigh as I head out into the woods.
When I reach the incident, Elena and Damon are there trying to talk him down.
Stefan throws Damon into a tree and goes to attack him again when I stop him by using an aneurysm spell.
He drops to his knees groaning and holds his head to try and relieve the pain.
After a few seconds I stop my spell and look at Damon. "Get him the fuck out of here. I'll deal with him later." Elena and Bonnie look at me very surprised and Damon just looks at me. "Go!"
He snaps out of it and grabs Stefan, speeding away.
I walk back into the party and find Caroline.
"Ready to go?"
"Yeah, let's go back to my place. I have ice cream and The Notebook on DVD."
She squeals and grabs her bag and dress.
We head back to my house and get settled into our pajamas on the couch, bowls full of ice cream and the movie ready to go.
We spend the night gossiping and watching movies until we finally pass out in my bed.
