Within a week, Percy had recruited a fair amount of the school to join Harry and Hermione's secret little army.
He was walking across the courtyard and came across a group of kids and thought, hey I'll recruit these midgets.
"What's up kiddies, you know how Voldemort is super bad and is tryna kill a bunch of people?" He asked them and they just looked up at him, eyes widened in wonder.
"Jeez relax, I'm cool see I'm Hufflepuff like you" he said, pointing at the Hufflepuff crest on his jacket.
"You're Percy Jackson" one of them said with wide eyes and they all looked at him in awe.
"Yup! Now how would you guys like to join a super secret club and learn real defence against the dark arts instead of what that pink toad lady teaches?" He asked them with a grin and they all nodded eagerly.
"Okay, now you can't tell anyone okay? Not even your parents, your siblings, your other friends, no one" Percy said.
"But why can't I tell my dads?" One of the boys asked with a frown.
"Ooh yeah you can tell them, they'll be happy to know you're conspiring against Umbitch" Percy said with a grin.
"What? Why can't I tell my parents if he can tell his?" A gril asked with a small pout.
"Are your parents gay?" Percy asked and she shook her head, "then don't tell them, middle aged straight people usually aren't that understanding" he said.
"But Chapman's parents are muggles, they won't even understand anyway" she said, crossing her arms.
"Chapman?" Percy questioned with a raised brow, the name seemingly familiar.
"That's my name, Corey Chapman" the kid said with a shrug.
"This is probably a bit of a stretch, but your dad's name wouldn't happen to be Grant would it?" Percy asked curiously, having a weird gut feeling.
"Yeah... wait how could you know that?" Corey asked with a frown.
"Holy shit, this is gonna sound weird but write to your dad and ask him if he dated someone called Remus Lupin when he was a teenager" Percy said with a grin and Corey just looked confused.
"Why...?"
"Just do it and get back to me because I swear to god if he did, this whole thing is like the weirdest coincidence" Percy said with a laugh.
"So you think this Remus Lupin dude dated my dad?" Corey questioned.
"Well I know he dated someone called Grant Chapman so it's a possibility" Percy grinned.
"Okay sure I'll ask him" Corey replied with a shrug.
"Good! Anyway, back to the whole secret club thingy, don't tell anyone unless they're your gay parents and we're all meeting Tomorrow at 1 pm in the abandoned classroom on the 3rd floor behind the tapestry that looks like an old lady rug" Percy explained to them and they all nodded.
"Well I'll see ya there kiddies" Percy grinned and with a small two fingered salute he was off.
He then started to make his way to the Hufflepuff common room, he was desperate to change out of his uniform now that classes were over.
As he passed the kitchens he decided to stop by to grab a little snack before dinner, the elves were happy to provide him with whatever he asked for.
So minutes later he walked out with a plate of blueberry pancakes which were practically drowned in syrup. The elves even made them blue upon Percy's request which made him more than happy.
To anyone else it would be strange to see their fellow housemate walking around eating pancakes at 6 pm, but the Hufflepuff's had grown used to Percy's odd behaviour so didn't think anything of it as he walked in their shared common room.
He made his way up the stairs to his dorm, walking up two steps at once for quickness and convenience.
Once he got to his dorm he set his pancakes on the dresser and immediately rid of his uniform. To be fair he hardly actually wore the uniform, just the shirt and tie. Though he made sure to have the Hufflepuff crest on his leather jacket, you know, house pride and all.
Once changing to more comfortable clothes, he sat on his bed, leaning against the headboard and pulled out a cigarette, lighting it up.
He then began to look for his pocket knife which he couldn't seem to find, only his daggers, which aren't the same thing.
"Come on do you have to do that in here?" Adam asked as he walked in, his face scrunching up at the smell.
"You seen my pocket knife anywhere?" Percy asked and Adam shrugged, "you had it in the common room after class, you probably left it there" he replied and Percy hummed, standing up.
"Now the common room is gonna smell like smoke" Adam said with a sigh to Percy who began walking out the dorm.
The boy just waved him off and left the room, making his way down the few steps that lead to the common room.
He went over to the couch he was sitting on before and began moving the pillows around, looking for his knife as his cigarette hung loosely between his lips.
"You looking for this?" An older girl asked, holding his knife.
He stood up straighter with a grin, taking the cigarette from his lips.
"Yeah, thanks" he said, she then tossed it to him and he caught it with ease.
"One of the first years found it, you really shouldn't leave that lying around" she said in response and he shrugged, taking another draw from his fag.
"You also shouldn't smoke in here" she added and he rolled his eyes.
"Yeah yeah, I'm leaving anyway" seeing the knife reminded him of how he was going to give Ginny his old dagger. He completely forgot before because he didn't have a chance at Grimmauld place seeing as Molly would murder him or some shit.
So with a small two fingered salute he left the common room and decided he'd look for the youngest Weasley.
He figured he should start with the Gryffindor common room and so he made his way there smoking the remains of his cigarette in the process.
Once he got the the common room he walked on in after saying the password to the lady in the portrait.
To his luck Ginny was sitting on the couch across the fireplace with a few other girls.
He jumped over the back of the couch and sat next to her causing the girls to let out squeals of fright.
"Bloody hell, you scared the shit out of me" Ginny said and he just smirked.
He withdrew the dagger from his pocket and handed it to her.
"Merry Christmas" he said with a grin and her face lit up with excitement and she held the dagger in her hand.
"Fuck yes, you're a real one Percy" she said as she took the dagger out of the sheath.
The other girls looked confused and quite frankly concerned.
"It's not Christmas...?" a girl who Percy didn't recognise said.
"And even if it was why would you give her a knife?" another girl asked.
"Knives are cool" he replied with a shrug.
"Oh my god is that my gay lover?" He heard Harry say and turned to see him entering the common room.
"No, I'm cheating on you with Ron" Percy said jokingly with a smirk and Harry let out a dramatic gasp.
"How could you?! And after all we've been through!" He said with a feigned sob, "and with my best friend as well? I've never felt such betrayal, I don't know how I can possibly ever love again" he continued and turned to sob into Hermione's shoulder. She couldn't help but laugh at both her friends' stupidity, Ginny shared her laughter but her friends however were thoroughly confused seeing as they weren't used too Percy and Harry's theatrics.
"I'm sorry my love, I couldn't keep it a secret any longer" Percy replied, jumping up from the couch and walking over to him with the same dramatic flair.
"Will you two shut up" Hermione said with a laugh, pushing a fake-crying Harry off of her shoulder.
"Rude" he grumbled.
"Ight let's go eat Minnie's cookies" Percy said, patting Harry on the back with a grin.
"They're biscuits, you weirdo" Harry said with a slight snort.
Percy shrugged in response, "same thing" he said and Harry just shook his head as the two walked out.
"What even was that?" One of Ginny's friends asked in utter confusion though Ginny and Hermione just sighed.
"We've been wondering that for months" Hermione said and Ginny nodded wholeheartedly, both of them watching Harry and Percy disappear behind the portait.
