Flynn stood talking to Phoenix for a while longer whilst the others carried on playing pool, of course Hangman won every time. Who is shocked? Phoenix and Flynn got along exceptionally well, both of them having a lot in common. Flynn told her all about the online degree she was doing on engineering and how her dream was to work with aviators and helping the airforce. Phoenix talked about how she had graduated the Top Gun academy, both of them sharing their experience of working and learning in areas dominated by men.

"Want another drink sweetheart?" Hangman asked Flynn.

"Well I wouldn't say no," she smiled.

"I'll have one too if you're offering," Phoenix added.

"I wasn't offering one to you"

Phoenix stuck her middle finger up at him making him laugh before he headed to the bar.

They carried on their conversation until Phoenix spotted someone.

"Bradshaw!" she exclaimed, "Is that you?"

At the sound of the familiar name, Flynn turned her head to the side to see someone she never thought she would see again. Bradley Bradshaw, aka Rooster, aka her older sisters ex boyfriend.

Flynn's eyes widened, he had changed a significant amount since the last time she had seen him. He had grown a moustache, had a more mature face, he was well built, he was... hot

As he came over, she immediately looked away, not wanting him to recognise her. Although, the last time she had seen him, she was a teenager and had changed a significant amount herself so there was a high possibility he wouldn't recognise her at all.

"This is how I find out you're state side?" Phoenix questioned as he approached.

"Yeah I'd just thought I'd surprise you," he answered, taking off his sunglasses and hooking them onto his undershirt, "It's good to see you"

"It's good to see you too"

Flynn saw Rooster look over to her, wanting to avoid eye contact with him, she looked to where Hangman was getting served. He turned around with two beers in his hand and smirked when he saw her looking at him.

"Wanna come pick a song with me?" he asked giving her one of the bottles of beer.

"Sure," she answered quickly, wanting to get away from Rooster so he couldn't recognise her.

He put his arm over her shoulders as they headed to the juke box.

"Who's the girl?" Rooster asked Phoenix, nodding towards where Hangman and Flynn were.

"She's called Flynn, she's a nice girl but unfortunately she is tonights victim of Hangman's charm," Phoenix joke.

Rooster thought she looked familiar, and it wasn't until Phoenix said her name did he realise it was who he used to call 'Baby Miller'.

Hangman had chosen a song and headed back over to the pool table, his arm still wrapped around the girls shoulders which is when he saw the latest edition to the group.

"Bradshaw, as I live and breathe," he said as he pulled back his arm from Flynn's shoulders and took the pool cue from Bob who was just about to have a shot.

"Hangman, you look... good"

"Well I am good Rooster," he said before potting a ball without even looking, "I'm very good"

"In fact, I am too good to be true," Hangman added, putting the cue back down and returning his arm over Flynn's shoulders once again.

"So... you might know what this special detachment is all about?" Payback questioned, trying to defuse the tension.

"Well a missions a mission, they don't confront me," Hangman said with confidence, "What I wanna know, who is gonna be team leader?"

Flynn quickly glanced at Rooster who was clearly getting annoyed. She had the feeling that something had happened between the two of them before.

"Which one of y'all has what it takes to follow me?" he grinned, arrogance flowing through him.

"Hangman, the only place you'll lead anyone is near the grave," Rooster retaliated, 'ooos' and gasps of shock filling the air.

Flynn, shifted uncomfortably under Hangman's arm, not wanting to be a part of it but Hangman couldn't help but smile at Rooster's comment.

"I'll be back sweetheart," Hangman winked at Flynn before taking his arm off of her shoulders and slowly walking over to Rooster.

"And anyone who follows you is just gonna run out of fuel," Hangman concluded, "But that's just you ain't it Rooster?"

Rooster gave him no other reaction other than a small smile on his face.

"You're snug on that perch, waiting for just the right moment... that never comes," Hangman sneered, getting closer to him, "I love this song"

Hangman smirked at him once more before going back over to Flynn.

"Well he hasn't changed," Phoenix said to Rooster when Hangman had took Flynn to sit at one of the tables.

"Nope"

"I hope she comes to her senses, she's a good girl. She doesn't need him messing her about"

"She doesn't no"

Meanwhile Hangman had carried on his classic sweet talking, he had Flynn hooked onto every word he said.

"Wanna go for a walk on the beach?" he asked.

"What now?"

"There is no time like the present darlin'," Hangman insisted.

"Ugh fine"

"Knew you couldn't resist me," he winked before grabbing her hand and heading out of the bar, just in time to miss Rooster's singing and piano playing.

The two of them walked onto the beach, both taking off their shoes so they wouldn't fill with sand before heading down to where the sea kissed the sand.

"You pick your timings right, it looks beautiful," Flynn commented on the sunset across the ocean.

"I told you I was good at everything"

Of course when she turned to look at him, he had a smug look on his face.

"So, what's the story between you and Rooster?" Flynn asked.

"What do you mean?"

"There's clearly something between the two of you"

"Do you know him?"

"I asked first"

"So you do know him?"

"That's not what I said"

"I think you just made it obvious you do," he chuckled.

"Ugh, you're so annoying"

"I have a feeling you like it though"

"Oh and what gave you that impression?"

"Don't think I didn't hear your breath hitch when I bent you over the table earlier sweetheart"

Flynn couldn't quite believe how this man had an inability to think before speaking. Which probably was a contribution to why him and Rooster didn't get along.

"I think you'll find I bent myself over the table, that's what happens when you play pool," she retaliated.

"I didn't hear you complaining"

"Who said I was?"

The last thing Flynn wanted to do was boost this mans ego any more yet she couldn't help but do the opposite.

"Want me to do it again? Maybe this time, somewhere more..." he began, pulling her close to him  and leaning his head down to her ear, "Private"

She couldn't let him get to her, she wasn't the kind of girl to have a one night stand. So instead, she was going to play her own game.

"Your house or mine?" she asked before placing a kiss under his ear.

"I'll let you decide that one sweetheart"

"Mine"

Hangman grabbed her hand before taking them back up to the Hard Deck where his car was parked. He unlocked the doors to his Mercedes G wagon, Flynn not in the slightest surprised at the flashy car.

She directed him to Penny's house, where he parked on the street. Flynn got out her keys before turning the lock and opening the door then going through, however before hangman could step through the door she blocked it, causing a very confused look to appear on the blonde's face.

"Thanks for the ride home Hangman, it's been a pleasure spending my evening with you," she said, finally it was her time to smirk at him.

"Not sure I understand"

"You didn't actually think I'd sleep with you tonight did you?" she laughed, catching him off guard, "One thing you need to know about me Hangman is I'm not as easy as all the other girls that fling themselves at you"

Of course, Hangman couldn't go two minutes without a smug look covering his face.

"Well luckily for you I like a challenge," he smirked.

"If you're interested in me, I expect flowers on this door within a week and a reservation at a restaurant"

"You're playing a dangerous game sweetheart"

"I look forward to seeing you playing in it," Flynn grinned, "Goodnight Hangman"

"I look forward to seeing your face again soon"

"Oh I hope you do," she laughed before closing the door.

As soon as she closed the door, she slid down it, a huge smile on her face. Feeling her phone buzz in her back pocket, she took it out and saw a message from Penny.

Penny: I just secured you the work experience you were looking for ;) x
