Vicki's POV
My sleep is interrupted my loud music playing somewhere in the house. I sigh and get out of bed.
I find the source of the music and see Stefan and Damon in Stefan's room. Stefan is working out to control the bloodlust. Kinda hot.
I walk in and turn the music off with an annoyed look on my face. "Thanks for that."
Stefan jumps down from where he was and Damon walks over to him.
"When you goin back to school?"
Stefan moves into a push-up. "Soon."
"Oh come on. Just drink already." He kneels down to him. "This self detox is unnatural."
"Could you get that away from me please?" Stefan says referring to the glass of blood in Damon's hand.
"How long did it take to to ween yourself off of it after you last indulged?"
"I'll be fine. It just takes a little bit of time." He grunts.
"I don't get it. You don't have to kill to survive. That's what blood banks are for. I haven't hunted human in- - gah, way too long."
"I'm impressed."
"It was completely self serving." I go to pour myself a drink and zone out until Damon leaves.
I turn and see that Damon left his glass of blood. I speed over to it and down it in one go. I look back up at Stefan and he gives me a thankful look.
"You know, I could possibly help with your bloodlust."
He scoffs. "It's not that easy."
"Sure it is. I am a witch too ya know but I can help you in a different way. You could drink little by little each day instead of sucking the blood cooler dry. If you do it like that then there's less guilt and you can build up a tolerance."
"Yeah I don't think so."
I sigh. "Okay then. Call me when you lose control."
I walk out and meet Damon downstairs.
The next day is the founders day kickoff party. I find a hot outfit to wear and finish getting ready. Damon is my date so he comes to pick me up.
Walking in I see a lot of poorly dressed individuals but I'll let it slide, this is the early 2000's.
Stefan tagged along. "Oh god. I shouldn't be here."
All three of us walk in. "Come on. Don't be a downer, it's a party for the founding families. That would be us."
"It would be rude to skip it." I smirk and link my arm with Damon's.
"You know, I - I really liked you guys a whole lot better when you hated everybody."
"We still do Steffie, but we plan on getting really drunk and fucking anyways. This is just foreplay." I wink at him and he BLUSHES. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm good. I'm fine."
I raise my eyebrow. "No craving? No urges?"
He shakes his head with a strained look on his face. I sigh and rest my hand on his arm.
"You can do this."
He nods. "I'm going to find Elena."
Damon calls after him. "Don't embarrass me, young man!"
I turn to Damon. "Bar?" I smirk.
His face matches mine. "Bar." He agrees.
After a drink or two, Elena and her family comes in. Including John. God! I hate that guy.
I walk over to Jeremy and Jenna. I hug both of them into a hug.
"Hey Jer, Jen."
"Vicki you look hot!"
I blush. "Thanks Jenna. You are looking quite ravishing this evening as well." I wink and she chuckles.
I turn to Mr. Vampire Hater. "John." I say with distaste. He nods in greeting.
"Want to get a drink Jen?"
"Don't mind if I do. Show me the way." She links her arm through mine.
We get a drink and all of a sudden, dance music comes on. Thank you Stefan!
"Come on!" I pull her into the dance floor and we start to jump around.
I see Damon talking with Elena at the bar. He's planting suspicious in her head. I smile and shake my head fondly.
"Hot teacher behind you, Jenna."
She fixes her hair. "How do I look."
"Amazing, now go talk to him." I give her a little nudge.
She blushes and turns around to go talk to him.
After a fun night of my mom making out with Tyler, Tyler beating up Matty, and Stefan almost losing control, I finally get home.
Matt is staying with me tonight since he told Kelly to leave and I obviously have to take care of him.
I bring him into my bathroom and grab gauze and rubbing alcohol.
"Sit down." I start to lightly dab off the blood first then I go in with the alcohol so that it doesn't get infected. He winces. "Sorry."
After he's all cleaned up I bring him into the living room and pour him a drink. I go to give it to him but he gives me a questioning look.
"Just this one time."
He smiles and takes it.
"Listen Matty, I have to tell you something."
"What is it? Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm okay. Now."
"What is it? You're worrying me."
"It's a long story." I take a deep breath before beginning. "That night at the cemetery I was killed. Well actually I was turned into a vampire."
"Not funny Vic."
"I'm not kidding. I'm a vampire Matty and I'm also a witch. Do you want me to prove it to you?" He nods.
I flash him my vampire face. He jumps up, alarmed. "What the hell Vic!" He yells.
I rush over to him. "Don't be scared." I look into his eyes. He immediately relaxes and sits back down.
"I'm not going to hurt you. I would never. I just needed you to know, I don't want you to get hurt in the crossfire."
He sighs. "Okay. Thank you for telling me I guess."
"I can explain more tomorrow but you need to sleep. You can stay in the guest room. There's clothes in there."
He sighs and gives me a hug before leaving to go to bed. I sigh and take a drink, thinking about what the hell happened with my life.
