Shivani's Pov:
It has been one month since I joined St. Mary school again. I was happy because I have so many memories here. I studied here my whole life so no RSM could compete with it.
Today our principal Mr. Raj Singh Sharma announced the Head boy/girl and house captains.
Ransh was announced as the head boy and I was the head girl. There were some students from class 9th to 12th who were the captain and the vice captain of the four houses and some other students were the cultural, sports and other volunteers. Our principal congratulated us and after some time we were instructed to go back to our classes.
While leaving the assembly hall, I heard a voice behind me."Hey! Congratulations." I turned toward the source of the voice. There was standing a boy whom I don't recognise.
" Umm.. thank you." I replied with hesitation. Then I saw a vice caption blue badge on his shirt. " And congratulation to you too." I said with a smile.
"Nishant Mishra, class 10th." He said, forwarding his hand toward me with a smile.
"Shivani Rajput, class 11th." I replied and took his hand for a handshake. I looked behind him there was standing Ransh. He was looking at me. It has been one month since I have joined this school and all I'm getting from him is continuous glares. I don't know what is his problem, he never talks to me whenever we are alone and he keeps glaring at me when I'm talking to others. It is hard for me to understand him so I ignore him and try not to think about him which is a total waste as I'm currently thinking about him.
"It's nice to see a beautiful headgirl in the school." Nishant said in a friendly way.
Usually I don't like this type of comments from boys but he seemed to be different.
"You know you're younger than me, right." I asked with a smile.
"So what? I was telling the truth." He replied.
"Yes, you're right. You know what maybe We can be the next priyanka and Nick." I said with a wink and then I glanced behind Nishant and saw Ransh going back to class.
"Uhh, slow down your horses girl. I already like someone infact I love her. But believe me if I haven't met her before then we definitely could be the next priyanka and Nick." He said.
"What? I almost named our children." I said with a fake shock expression and he laughed.
"Btw, may I know who's that lucky girl." I asked him.
"Your friend 'Aditi'." He replied.
"Oh that's why you congratulated me because you want me to play cupid and I thought you wanted to be my friend. How mean.." I fake cried.
"No, no I want to be your friend infact I like you as a sister. Ever since you joined this school I always see you around her then I got to know that you two are bestfriends and you used to study in this school two years ago. I admire you. Your friendship seems real as if you both are sisters. And that is why I talked to you. I would like to be your friend. But you being her friend is the plus point. I can't deny that." He said and I smiled at his honesty. I wanted to talk to him more but the bell rang and we had to go back to our classes but we promised to talk later.
"Hey Aditi, Do you know Nishant?" I asked aditi and drank water from my water bottle. We were on the playground as it was our games period.
"Nishant, who?" She asked, diverting her eyes to the playground after taking water bottle from my hands.
"Blue House vice captain, class 10th." I replied. Her expressions changed after hearing his discription and I couldn't understood why? so I decided to find out.
"Yeah, I've seen him around. Why? Did he say something to you?" She asked.
"No, he just congratulated me and we talked for a bit. I liked him. He's a nice guy." I replied.
Her reply was "Hmmmm."
"I think we should go back." I said and she nodded.
I was walking down the school corridor during lunch then I saw Nishant stading at the end of the corridor. I walked toward him as it's been few days since we talked.
"What's up, Mr. Romeo." I said to him.
"Hey shivani." He replied with a smile.
"So how's it going with aditi? Any progress??" I asked.
"No yaar. She doesn't even talk to me. She ignores me as if I have covid." He replied with a pout and I laughed. "Do not laugh yrr, please help me." He pleaded.
"Okay I'll help you but first I need to be sure that your intentions are pure for my friend and she is also interested in you. Otherwise I'm not going to help you." I replied.
"Okay I'll do whatever you say." He took out a pen from his pocket and forwarded it to me. " Give me your number so that I can text you place and time for our meeting as we don't get any time to talk in the school." He said.
"Okay but where I'm going to write my number?" I asked as he gave me only pen without a notebook or a page.
"Block coordinator mam is calling you." I heard Ransh's voice behind me. Nishant forwarded his hand toward me to write my number as he didn't have any page. I took his hand and wrote my number on it.
"I'll text you later." He said with a smile and I nodded.
"Come on fast, mam is not going to wait for you." Ransh said in a pissed mood but I ignored him and went with him to our block coordinator's room. Ransh knocked on the door and mam called us in.
"Good morning, mam." We both greeted together.
"Good morning." She replied with a smile.
"As you know there is a Sanskar Bharti program every year in our school and this year it is going to be held on 5 to 7 May." She said and we nodded our head.
"So I want you two to select the volunteers and their duties and there is going to be some programs like traditional dance, drama, drawing competition, debate competition and all. So you need to inform students about it and write down the names of the students those who are interested in any kind of activities with the activity they want to perform. Contact komal mam and she'll give you the program details." She completed her instructions.
"Okay mam." We both said in unison.
"You may leave now." She said and we came out of her office.
We went to komal mam and she gave us the list of programs and the order of performances. The program is going to start with a Ganesh vandhana. Which is going to be a dance performance. And then there is going to be some traditional dance performances of different states. The students of other states are also going to be part of it. So firstly we need to make a team for the greetings of the other students and their mentors and a team for the prize distribution for their performances. The other states students will return the next day then there is going to be an inter school debate competition, drawing competition. The next day it is going to be a sports day and then the prize distribution for the school Students.
"I think we should eat lunch first. I'm very hungry as I didn't get any time to eat anything. Then we can take permissions from our respective teachers and go to the classes together to write students name and if you want then we can devide classes as it will save time." I said to Ransh. Komal mam took our so much time to explain everything that lunch break was about to end after ten minutes.
"I saw where you were busy and don't worry you'll get enough time to flirt with your juniors." He replied. "Meet me after twenty minutes." He said and left before I could even process what he said. What the hell is his problem??
After eating my lunch I took permission from my teacher and left to meet Ransh in the corridor. We went together to all the classes and wrote the name of students with the activity they want to perform. Ransh didn't say a word to me. He just informed the students and I wrote all the information.
I was watching 'The vampire diaries', sitting on the couch. The bell rang and I paused my series and went to open the door. I peeked through the hole and saw Ransh. I adjusted my hairs and clothes as i was wearing a scalloped shorts then opened the door.
"Bhai is not at home." I said to him before he could enter.
"I know." He replied and entered. "He's coming." He said.
"Okk." I replied, went to the living room and continued watching tvd. There was playing a scene where stefen was shirtless. Uffff how hot he is. I wondered how it feels to touch a sexy body like his. Then my eyes diverted to Ransh, he was wearing a t-shirt and trouser and his biceps was clearly visible. I wondered how it would feel to touch his body. He glanced at me as if he felt my eyes on him then it snapped me and I diverted my eyes back to the TV screen.
'what is wrong with you shivani?? Remember your walls are high. You ain't going to fall for him again.' I reminded myself. Just then my phone popped up and I picked it up from the table.
"Hey!!" It was a text from a unknown number.
"Who??" I texted back.
"Your one and only Romeo." Came the text and I smiled before I could even reply there came another text.
" 6 pm Tomorrow at the Barista cafe."
"Okkay, I'll be there." I texted back and just then the doorbell rang again, I placed my phone on the table and went to open the door. It was my brother this time.
"Did Ransh come?" My brother asked.
"Yeah, he's in the living room." I replied and we both went to the living room.
"Shivani, we are going to play volleyball. And yess.. I talked to Rishabh sir about your coaching. He said you can join from tomorrow." My brother said and I nodded.
"Uhhh she might be busy tomorrow." Ransh said. I was confused. How did he know? Did he read my messages? No he won't do it. He is not a privacy breaker. I know him from childhood. And I locked my phone before leaving it on the table.
"What do you mean??" My brother asked.
"Nothing, leave.... Let's go." He said and then the left.
