"Okonomiyaki is much better than ramen, right?"
---
"Ah," Nozomi halted when she almost bumped into the familiar blonde male. The latter looked at her in a bit of surprise as they meet once again.
Nozomi was going for a walk around their school after she went to a classmate's house to do their project when she stumbled upon Takajo Tsukasa, the blonde who is attending Oya High and the same guy who helped her before when she tripped.
After they went to Sannoh, the twins parted ways. They both have different partners for a school project and they went to both of their classmate's houses to do it.
"Hey," Tsukasa greeted with a small smile plastered on his face. Nozomi smiled and looked down for a second and then looked at him once again.
"Oh, shit," she muttered, making Tsukasa raise a brow at her. The girl ignored him as she opened her bag and searched for something.
She stopped when she found what she was looking for and looked at Tsukasa with a smile. She handed the handkerchief that he used to tend to her bruised knee at that time.
"Thank you for– you know, at t-that time..." she stammered as she couldn't find the right words to say. Tsukasa looked at her amusingly as he took the handkerchief from her hand.
"You're welcome," he told her. The two stared at each other's eyes for a while until there was a vehicle passed them by and made a loud beeping noise. Nozomi flinched and shyly looked down at her feet.
"I'm Takajo Tsukasa, by the way," Tsukasa introduced himself and awkwardly scratched the back of his head. He wasn't like this with many people but somehow it made him feel embarrassed when he was with the girl in front of her.
Just all of a sudden, he was conscious and worried about his appearance.
"I know. It's just I didn't know that you are him. I mean, I know you by name. So I didn't know you when w-we met..." Nozomi shook her head and laughed. "I'm sorry, I'm talking too much. I–I'm Nozomi. Odajima Nozomi."
Tsukasa lightly chuckled and nodded. "I know."
"You know?" Nozomi blinked confusingly.
"Yeah, it's just that I didn't know you're her. I mean, I know you because I met you before," Tsukasa smirked teasingly, making the girl playfully roll her eyes.
"Right," she stated and laughed along with him.
"So, are you from around here?" the male asked and the girl shook her head.
"I'm from Toaru City. I need to take the train," she said and gestured for the station that is a few meters away in their direction.
Tsukasa nodded his head. The girl started to walk but then looked at the blonde in confusion since he was walking with her.
"Are you going the same direction?" she asked.
"Yeah, I'm near the station," he answered. The girl nodded and they walked in silence but it didn't last as the blonde popped up another question.
"So, are you guys really twins?" he asked, making Nozomi laugh.
"Yes, we are. We're fraternal twins," the girl glanced in his direction and smiled.
"I thought you guys were like–"
"YasuKiyo?" she questioned, cutting him off.
He chuckled, "Yeah."
They both laughed.
The two wondered how they can just laugh together when they literally just met a few minutes ago. They met back then but that was for a short period of time.
It was like they were bound to be close to one another and it feels... natural?
"Geez, I really thought Tsukasa Takajo was an extremely huge scary guy or something," Nozomi wondered and chuckled. The blonde looked at her in confusion.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I didn't know he's pretty," she said but then realized the words that came out of her mouth. She stopped walking and looked at Tsukasa with wide eyes. "O-Oh my gosh, I didn't mean to– I'm sorry–"
"You think I'm pretty?" he asked with a raised brow. Nozomi gulped in nervousness as she looked him in the eyes. She tried to form words out of her mouth but she couldn't say anything.
Tsukasa laughed at her reaction, making the girl freeze on her spot. "I was just kidding."
"What?"
"I'm not offended or anything, don't worry."
"Oh," Nozomi mouthed. Tsukasa walked first and the girl immediately followed him but still completely trying to process what happened. "I really meant good-looking."
Tsukasa glanced at her and chuckled. "I think you're also pretty."
"Eh?" Nozomi looked at him in another shock. This guy is giving her a lot of surprises for just a short time.
"Oh, I meant good-looking," Tsukasa smirked as he copied her from earlier. The girl playfully glared at her but couldn't help but to grin widely at the compliment.
"You're really mocking me," she said.
"Was I?" they both laughed as Nozomi shook her head in amusement.
Never in her life, she would imagine joking with Takajo Tsukasa.
The two reached the station and shifted their attention when they hear shouting.
"Kiko?" Nozomi questioned as she saw her sister getting into an argument with a guy.
"Fujio?" Tsukasa asked, making the girl look at her in confusion. They both looked at each other and then at the two who are arguing and gaining the people's attention at the station.
The two quickly approached them, Nozomi went towards her sister while Tsukasa approached Fujio.
"Kiko, what's going on?" Nozomi asked her twin.
"That guy is seriously getting on my nerves," Kiko grumbled as she glared at Fujio.
"What's gotten with you two?" Tsukasa asked.
"Okonomiyaki is much better than ramen, right?" Kiko asked her twin.
"Eh?" Nozomi tilted her head in confusion.
"It's ramen!" Fujio exclaimed as the two argued. While Nozomi and Tsukasa looked at them in bewilderment.
"You guys are arguing about food?" Tsukasa questioned.
"Oh, boy," Nozomi sighed and holds her sister's arm. "Let's go home."
"Well, see you," Tsukasa told her and smiled. Nozomi smiled back and nodded her head while the other two are still shouting ramen and okonomiyaki.
"It's still ramen!" Fujio shouted and Kiko was about to run towards him but Nozomi stopped her twin. Meanwhile, Tsukasa pulled Fujio out of the station.
While they are on the train, Kiko told her sister about her encounter with Hanaoka Fujio.
Kiko was walking towards the station. She just finished doing a school project with one of her classmates.
The girl glanced around and heard her stomach growl.
"Ah, I'm hungry," she grumbled. She was focused on thinking about food that she didn't realize that she bumped into someone.
"Oh!" the male exclaimed and pointed at her. Kiko then looked at him with a frown and then widened her eyes when she realized who it was.
"You..."
"You're that MiKo twins, right?"
"It's KoMi, moron!" she exclaimed when Fujio got it wrong.
"MiKo sounds nicer, though," Fujio simply stated, making the girl glared at him.
"Shut up, pervert," Kiko muttered and was about to walk ahead but Fujio walked beside her.
"Hey, for the hundredth time! I am not a pervert, alright? I have a name, you know," he said. Kiko looked at him for a while and sighed.
"Alright, sorry. For calling you pervert." Fujio looked at her with curiosity but then nodded. "Fujio, was it?" she questioned and the male nodded.
"You?"
"Kiko."
"Ah, I see. You guys are twins, right?"
"What part of 'KoMi twins' didn't you get?" Kiko sarcastically questioned. The male grumbled incoherently.
"How did you know my sister?" he questioned as the two walked.
"Met her through Madoka-senpai," she simply said and shrugged.
"Eh? Doka?" Kiko glanced at him with a raised brow.
"Doka? That's her nickname?"
"Yeah, but if you call her that she will go berserk with you," Fujio said and the two laughed at the thought of it.
Kiko halted her steps when she saw an okonomiyaki shop. "Ah, perfect timing," she said and walked towards the store.
"Eh? Hey!" Fujio called and followed her towards the store.
The two found themselves sitting at the store and eating okonomiyaki.
"This is delicious!" Kiko exclaimed. "Anyway, why are you here eating with me?"
"What? I can pay for myself, 'ya know."
"That's not what I meant," she said but the male ignored her.
"I would prefer ramen over this," Fujio stated, making the girl's eyebrow raise.
"Really? Right in front of my okonomiyaki?"
"I tell you, there's a good ramen shop a block away from here. They are one of the best here in the town," he said.
"I don't believe you," Kiko taunted.
That's the beginning of their okonomiyaki-ramen argument. After eating okonomiyaki, they went to the ramen store and ate there.
Then on their way to the station, they argue about what's the best dish they had.
"Oh, gosh," Nozomi muttered as they got off the train and at the same time, Kiko finished her story.
"I know, right? Okonomiyaki was literally the best!" Kiko exclaimed.
"That's not what I meant," the younger twin said and shook her head disappointingly.
"Eh? Then, what is it?"
