Ameera's POV-
Today is results day. My friends and I gathered in a cafe. We all were really nervous about it. We planned to open results together.
Our results always came by online on the university's app.
"Just five more minutes guys and then results will come out" Aiden said after collecting our food.
"In Shaa Allah we all will pass" I said calmly looking at everyone. I noticed Nina was the most nervous among us. "Nina relax, take a deep breath and just have faith in God" "No matter what the result comes, never give up"
"That's right. Always believe in Al Qadr" Ahmed said.
"Al Qadr is the belief in predestination. This means that Allah already knows everything that will happen. However, this doesn't mean that the choices people make are not free choices. Rather, Allah simply knows what those choices are going to be before they are made." I explained to Aiden and Nina as they both looked confused when Ahmed said about Al Qadr.
Aiden and Nina both looked at me curiously as I explained. Nina looked at Aiden then turned to me and Ahmed. I could tell they wanted to ask us something but were hesitating.
I looked at Ahmed and gave him a look 'we will ask them later' to which he nodded at me.
"Okay, one more minute guys so I guess we all will open the app and refresh it" Ahmed changed the topic.
I opened the app on my phone, others did the same. We started counting '3...2...1' Ahmed and I said a quiet 'bismillah' cause it was our habit to say it before we start anything. This habit I caught from Ahmed.
I noticed Aiden and Nina started understanding and catching a few Islamic terms whenever Ahmed and I used any. We made sure they knew the meaning behind them. I could tell they both were very grateful when we explained it so they don't get confused in the future. Another good thing I noticed was Aiden and Nina started using these terms like right now when Ahmed and I said 'bismillah' they repeated it after us.
I checked my results and Alhumdulillah I passed in all subjects. I was so happy. I looked at my friend's reactions one by one and noticed Nina and Ahmed being happy too but Aiden looked a bit sad. We all shared a worried glance and asked Aiden about his result. He stood up looking all gloomy and ready to leave. I started pouting feeling sad for him.
Ahmed looked at me and Nina and gave us a look 'I'll talk to him don't worry'. But as Aiden turned to leave, he turned back and started dancing. We looked at him confused and then in amusement cause he looked crazy doing a moonwalk. Probably cause he didn't realize others watching him or simply didn't care.
"Bro, you good?" Ahmed asked him in an amused voice.
Nina and I shared a worried glance then she stood up and went near Aiden. He saw her go to him and started hugging her, then suddenly screamed 'I passed! In your face'.
We all started screaming with him in happiness. The cafe's manager made his way toward us and asked us kindly to leave as we were disturbing others.
The boys wanted to protest but Nina and I walked out silently after collecting our things. The boys followed us. As we all went out of the cafe I saw Aiden holding our burgers. We all gave him a 'are you crazy' look and he was like "What? We paid for it and I'm not letting it go to waste" at this we all erupted laughing.
