No one's POV
It's the next day, and after having breakfast with Ash and Kukui, Kukui told Nhazul the location of the Pokémon school. Going on ahead of Ash, Nhazul and Eevee started walking down the path, when Eevee noticed someone on the beach.
Eevee: Eevee!
Nhazul: Hmm?
Nhazul looked in the direction of where Eevee was looking and saw Lana with her Popplio, as it was blowing large bubbles.
Nhazul: It's Lana, right?
Lana looked up surprised, seeing Nhazul and Eevee walking up.
Lana: Oh, Nhazul. Alola.
Nhazul: What were two doing?
Lana: We're practicing making big balloons . This is our spot.
Nhazul: "Your spot"?
Lana: Yeah. This is where I met Popplio. Popplio was being bullied. She was completely exhausted. It had been deeply hurt and I didn't want it to grow to hate humans. So I chose it as my partner.
Nhazul looked down at Eevee and Popplio playing together, listening to Lana speak.
Nhazul: I see. It reminds me of how I met Eevee.
Lana: Really?
Nhazul: Yeah... Eevee helped me get through some things. Hell, she still is...
Lana: Did something happen?
Nhazul didn't say anything and looked down saddened.
Nhazul: I'd rather not say...
Lana: Oh, I'm sorry...
Nhazul: No, it's fine. Why are you two tying to make big balloons anyway?
Lana: To ride inside of it.
Nhazul: Inside?
Lana: I have a dream. I want to enter a gigantic balloon, and go into the sea...Go anywhere and everywhere... If I do that, I'm sure I can meet some deep sea Pokémon nobody has ever seen before.
Nhazul: I see, that's a nice dream to have.
Lana: What about you? Do you have any dreams?
Nhazul: I do. And I have to make it come true. No matter what it takes...
Lana looked at Nhazul and saw how serious and determined he looked, before she realized how late it was.
Lana: Oh no, I didn't realize how late it was, we need to get to school.
Nhazul: You mean, you. I technically don't go there. I'm just visiting.
Lana looked at Nhazul pouting, before she grabbed his arm and started dragging him.
Lana: Don't be a spoil sport, come on. You'll miss it.
Nhazul looked at Lana confused.
Nhazul: Miss it?
(Timeskip)
As Lana led Nhazul to the Pokémon school, suddenly he's met by multiple party poppers and confetti, confusing him.
Everyone: Alola Surprise!
Nhazul: Huh? Surprise?
Eevee: Vee?
Mallow: It's about time you got here.
Mallow looked at Lana and smirked.
Lana: What?
Mallow: Is why you guys took so long because you were on a date?
Nhazul: Date?
Hearing Mallow say that, Lana started blushing.
Lana: Huh?! We weren't on a date!
Kiawe walked up to Nhazul.
Kiawe: You don't look all that surprised.
Nhazul: I mean I am, but I'm more the confused side of what's going on.
Mallow: Since you were visiting today, we decided to throw you a thank you party for helping us yesterday.
Nhazul: A party just for that? Not that I'm not appreciative, but isn't that a bit much?
Mallow: Of course not, this just how we thank people.
Nhazul: ...-_-... Your way of thanking sounds really expensive...
Ash: It's nothing super big, they did this when I first joined the school, it's actually really fun.
Pikachu: Pika!
Mallow: That was just your first surprise.
Nhazul: "First"?
Suddenly, Sophocles pointed at Nhazul.
Sophocles: Nhazul! The second surprise is a challenge from the two of us, Sophocles and Togedemaru!
Nhazul: Huh?
Ash: Yeah... I was the same when I did it too.
Nhazul was then led over to a stack of balloons, confusing him even more.
Eevee: Vee...?
Nhazul: And this is...?
Mallow: Yo! Explanation time! This is a game where the first team to pop all the balloons wins! Oh and it doesn't matter if it's the human or the Pokémon that pops the balloons.
Nhazul: Pop balloons.... Sounds simple enough.
Eevee: Vee!
Once explaining the rules, Nhazul and Sophocles got in position to start.
Kiawe: Ready... Start!
Once starting, the four of them ran to the balloons, with Nhazul and Eevee popping a few of them, but noticed Sophocles and Togedemaru popping them at a rapid pace by using Togedemaru's quills.
Nhazul: ...-_-... Of course he'd challenge some to popping balloons when Togedemaru has those sharp quills...
Lana: Do your best, Nhazul.
Ash: You got this!
Pikachu: Pika! Pika!
Lillie: You may utilize Pokémon moves too if you wish!
Nhazul: Oh, we can use moves? That makes this much more simple. Eevee, Iron Tail.
Eevee: Eevee!
Leaping up into the air, Eevee used Iron Tail, smashing all the balloons at once.
Sophocles: Huh?!
Mallow: Nhazul and Eevee win this battle!
Nhazul: Nice job, Eevee.
Eevee: Vee, Vee!
Sophocles: Man, I really thought I had you...
Lana: Nhazul.
Nhazul: Hmm?
Nhazul looked over and saw Lana and Popplio walking up to him.
Lana: The third surprise is a battle against us.
The third battle, was Eevee vs Popplio in a Pokémon Aquathlon, with Eevee taking an early lead on land, but was quickly beaten once it get in the water by Popplio's superior swimming abilities.
Nhazul: ...-_-... I saw that coming.
Lillie: When in the water, Popplio swims at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour. It's known for feats such as that.
Nhazul: That so.
Eeeve got out of the water and shook the water off, with Nhazul kneeling down to it, drying her off with a towel.
Nhazul: Still, you did great, Eeeve.
Without warning, Eevee squirted the water in it's mouth in Nhazul's face, smiling.
Eevee: Eevee, Vee!
Nhazul: ...-_-... You little brat...
Next up, it was Nhazul vs Kiawe in a Tauros race, with Nhazul dominating, which surprised everyone.
Kiawe: Wow, you're really good. Did you use Ride Pokémon a lot here?
Nhazul: No, I used my Pokémon to get around. A friend of mine always rode Rhyhorn when we were kids. Watching her helped me learn. So it was essentially the same thing.
Next up, Ash walked up to Nhazul.
Ash: I'm up next! I'm your fifth surprise.
Nhazul just chuckled.
Nhazul: That so? Let me guess, we're going to have a battle?
Ash: You bet! I've been dying to have a rematch with you.
Nhazul: So I've heard. Alright then, let's do it.
Upon agreeing to fight Ash, everyone went to the battle field, with Nhazul and Ash opposite ends. As they did, Kukui walked out to join them.
Kukui: Ah, getting started already?
Mallow: We were going to save the Pokémon battle for last...
Lana: But Ash couldn't wait that long...
Kiawe: This will be a 1 v 1 battle. The match will end when sides Pokémon is unable to battle.
Ash: Alright, Pikachu, I choose you!
Pikachu then jumped off from Ash's shoulder and onto the field.
Pikachu: Pikachu!
Nhazul: You're up, Eevee.
Eevee: Eevee!
Eevee jumped off Nhazul's head, onto the field as well.
Kiawe: Battle beg-
Suddenly, Greninja came out of his Pokeball on his own, surprising everyone, and amazing Lana.
Kukui: Is that...?
Lana: It's Shiny! So cool! I've never seen a Shiny Greninja before!
Nhazul: Greninja? What's-
Suddenly, Nhazul started having the same feeling he had yesterday.
Nhazul: Like yesterday...
Nhazul and Greninja both started looking around.
Kukui: Nhazul? What's the matter?
Nhazul: I had this feeling from yesterday. Like I'm being-
When Nhazul turned around, he's immediately met by the stare of a Pokémon he'd never seen before, surprising him and shocking everyone else.
Nhazul: What the...?!
Nhazul's thoughts: I couldn't sense it at all...!
Ash: Tapu Koko!
Kiawe: It's here again?!
Nhazul: Tapu Koko?
Lillie: It's the Guardian Deity of Melemele island!
Nhazul: Guardian Deity?
Mallow: But wait, it looks different from before!
Kukui: Wait, don't tell me there's a second Tapu Koko!
Nhazul: A second?
Ash: Not to long ago, Tapu Koko, or at least the one we encountered wanted to battle me.
Nhazul: Battle you?
Tapu Koko: Ko!!!
Nhazul looked back at Tapu Koko and saw it just looking at him, before turning to Greninja. After which, it floated back, getting into a stance, surprising everyone.
Kiawe: Don't tell me...
Mallow: I think this Tapu Koko wants to battle Nhazul and Greninja!
Kukui: Well doesn't this sound familiar.
Nhazul and Greninja both looked at each other and nodded, before looking back at Tapu Koko.
Nhazul: Alright, we accept your challenge.
Tapu Koko: Koo!
Suddenly, the entire area was covered within an electric field, surprising Nhazul.
Kukui: Electric Surge!
Nhazul: Electric Surge?
Lillie: Nhazul! This is Tapu Koko's ability. When inside, all Electric type moves are increased!
Nhazul: Noted. Alright, ready when you are.
Tapu Koko immediately started the battle with using Agility, increasing it's speed.
Nhazul: Greninja, Water Shuriken, let's go!
Greninja: Kouga!
Leaping into the air, Greninja threw multiple Water Shurikens at Tapu Koko, only for it to dodge it with blinding speed.
Lana: So fast!
Ash: Nhazul, behind you!
Suddenly Tapu Koko appeared behind Greninja and hit it to the ground with Thunder Punch.
Kukui: That was Thunder Punch!
Sophocles: A Thunder Punch within this ability?! That had to do a lot of damage!
After taking the hit, Greninja immediately landed on the ground and saw Tapu Koko already going back on the offensive.
Nhazul: Greninja, Double Team, into Water Shuriken!
Greninja proceeded to make multiple clones with Double Team, along with them throwing multiple Water Shurikens, only for Tapu Koko to fly straight down in the middle, stabbing it's claw into the ground, using Nature's Madness to blow all of them away, only to reveal Greninja was no where to be seen.
Lana: Where did it go?
Nhazul: Aerial Ace, let's go!
Looking around, Tapu Koko noticed a shadow below him, as it looked back behind it only to be met
by an Aerial Ace heel kick by Greninja, knocking it straight to the ground.
Lillie: Wow!
Sophocles: Nhazul's Greninja's really holding it's own against Tapu Koko!
Ash: Man, he's just as strong as he was back before!
Tapu Koko, looked at Greninja and immediately rushed towards it, charging up another Thunder Pumch.
Nhazul: Night Slash!
Greninja: Kouga!
Both Greninja and Tapu Koko clashed with Night Slash and Thunder Punch,
creating a large explosion, surprising everyone. Once the dust settled, both Greninja and Tapu Koko were standing off with each other.
Greninja: ...
Topo Koko: ...
Staring at Greninja and Nhazul, Tapu Koko began screech, as if was satisfied, as well as more intrigued.
Tapu Koko: KOOOOOOO!!!!
Tapu Koko then started to fly off, surprising everyone, as it did, something fell from the sky directly below Nhazul, and as he caught it, he saw it was a Z Ring.
Nhazul: What is this?
Everyone looked at Nhazul surprised.
Ash: A Z Ring?
Nhazul: Z Ring?
Kiawe: They're used to preform Z Moves.
Nhazul: Z Moves?
Kukui: Z Moves are special moves from the Alola region. There's four islands in this region, and each of them has a Guardian Deity Pokémon. Only those who have participated in the ceremony known as the Island Trials can use Z Moves.
Nhazul: And so in the case of this island, there's two Deitys.
Kukui: Yeah, that is something we didn't knew.
Mallow: We had no idea there were two Tapu Kokos!
Lillie: None of the books I read ever mentioned there being two either.
Kiawe: And just like Ash, it's taken an interest in you.
Nhazul: Like Ash?
Ash: Yeah! Tapu Koko gave me my Z Ring too.
Nhazul: Is that so. If that's the case, I can only assume it wants me to do the trials, right?
Kukui: That would be my best guess.
Nhazul looked back down at the Z Ring.
Nhazul: I'd be lying if I'd said I wasn't interested and intrigued now. If it's a chance for me to grow stronger and learn more, I'm all for it.
Nhazul looked over at Greninja and Eevee.
Nhazul: What do you think?
Eevee and Greninja both nodded in agreement.
Eevee: Eevee! Eevee!
Greninja: Kouga.
Nhazul: Then it's settled. I'm going to take the Island challenge.
Ash: Really? Then that means we can take it together!
Kukui: That so, then if you'll be taking the Island Trials along with Ash, then why not join us in the Pokémon School as well? We'd love to have you.
Lana: Yeah!
Ash: That's a great idea!
Nhazul just chuckled.
Nhazul: Sure, why not. Ok I'm still technically on vacation, so there's no need for me to rush.
Everyone then started cheering, hearing that Nhazul would be staying.
Mallow: In that case, why don't you experience my surprise? It's lunch time featuring the homemade cooking of Mallow. The virtual mascot of Aina Kitchen.
Ash: Huh?! But I didn't get to do my surprise!
Pikachu: Pika!
Nhazul: We can battle later, right now I'm actually pretty hungry.
Eeevee: Vee!
Ash and Pikachu: Aww/Pika...!
