6 months later
Avni's pov :
"I told you, I'll ask her later." I said to my friend over phone.
"When? You said the same thing three months ago." He said. "Please! Ask her yarrr." He pleaded. I sighed and gave up.
"Okay. I'm going to ask her but if she denies then I'm not going to pressurize her." I said.
"Okay done." He said happily.
"And you'll never ask me again. Promise?" I said.
"Promise." He replied. "Now go and inform me what she said. And make sure to praise your friend in front of her." He said, and I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah I'll make sure to bitch about you." I said and cut the call. Then I went to shivani's room she was sitting on her table searching for something on laptop.
"Shivani, what are you doing?" I asked her and sat on her bed. She took her laptop and sat on the bed in front of me.
"Nothing, just searching for a dance academy." She said. "Look, this D-dance academy got good reviews and it's near our house.", She said and turned the laptop toward me.
" Okay. Um.. Shivani I want to talk about something." I said, she nodded her head for me to continue.
"Umm...one of my friend was asking about you." I said.
"What was your friend asking?" She asked.
"That if you're interested in dating and all." I sighed. "Let me get straight to the point." I said and picked her hand in my hand. "He likes you like alot, but he's afraid that if he asks directly then you'll reject him so he asked me to ask you that will you like it or not if he proposes you. He's a nice boy shivani. He loves you from the day he saw you and he talks about you all the time. He's not a Playboy shivani like Ransh. " I mumbled the last part and as soon I uttered it, I regretted because Shivani's expressions changed from calm to sad.
"I'm sorry Avni but I can't. I'm sure your friend is a good guy but I can't choose anyone as a replacement. If I want a boyfriend then it'll be because I love him not because I want to forget someone else. And I'm not ready for a relationship now. I don't think I got over him. There is a road called recovery and I'm on it. And I don't want to get lost without recovering, I don't want another heartbreak and I definitely don't want to break someone's heart." She said. I lost all words. I couldn't find the right words to change her mind so I gave up.
"Okay as you wish. I'm always with you my dear sis." I said and hugged her." By the way, I definitely got to say one thing." I said. She broke our hug and looked at me.
"What?" She asked.
"You deserve better." I said and laughed.
"How cringe!" She said and laughed too. Then it strike my mind, she was talking about a dance academy.
"You were saying something about dance academy?" I asked.
"Ohh haan, I wanted to learn dance so I searched online for academy. This academy named as D-dance is one of the best reviewed academy. And it is close to our house." She answered.
"You should definitely join. You know my friend also goes to the same academy and he's a really good dancer. I will introduce you two if you want." I said.
"Oh it's great." She replied.
"So do you want his number?" I asked.
"First, you talk to him and let me know what he says then you can introduce us later." She replied and I nodded.
I left out of the room. I came to my room and locked the door, before dialing Shivay's number. He picked after one ring.
"Desperate enough huh?" I teased him.
"Shut up, now tell me what she said?" He asked. I could fell him rolling his eyes on the other side.
" Rude! This is not how you talk to your messenger." I replied and giggled.
"Seriously, are we doing this now?." He asked irritatingly. "You know I'm dying to know her answer. And you're messing with me." He said.
"And that's exactly why I said desperate 🤣." I teased him.
"I don't think you're going to tell me. Bye" he said.
" Wait, wait." I stopped him before he cut the call.
"What now, either you tell me or I'm cutting the call." He said.
" She said and I quote There's a road called recovery and I'm on it." I finished and waited for his reply.
"What? What does that mean?" He asked confused, I laughed at his confusion.
"It means that she is not interested. She said she doesn't want her first boyfriend to be a replacement. If she want a boyfriend then it's because she loves him not because she wants to forget someone else. And she can't be mean to someone and she definitely can't break someone's heart, so she said sorry." I repeated her dialogues.
"Oh" he replied in sad tone. And I felt bad for him.
"Don't worry bro, give her some time." I tried to console him.
"You know, this little speech of her made me fall for her even harder. She thinks about everyone without even knowing them." He said
"I know. She's my sister."I replied proudly.
"Well you are nothing like her. You're pure evil." He said and I opened my mouth to yell at him but I decided to use the information I had for him.
"You know I was going to give you a good news regarding shivani but you changed my mind." I said with a grin on my face.
"What? Please do tell me." He said.
"No, you can continue insulting me." I replied.
"Okay I'm sorry please Avni you're my darling friend. Please tell me." He pleaded.
"Still a no." I replied.
"Fine, what do you want?" He replied.
"Now that's like my boy." I said. "Now listen,
A. I want you to do my homework for one week and B. You have to give me chocolate everyday for one week." I conditioned.
"Finnee, but only if I get the benefit of this info." He replied.
"Okay so she is joining D-dance academy, and I told her that one of my friend also goes there so he can help her if she wants."I said.
"And why would she talk to me if she has already rejected me." He asked and I rolled my eyes even though I knew he couldn't see me over the phone.
"Idiot she didn't even ask for your name. I mean she didn't ask for my friend name who wants to date her. So she doesn't know it's you. You can use this opportunity to know her and befriend her." I said.
"O really. I mean that's amazing." He replied happily.
"So when will she join" he asked.
"Let's meet tomorrow. I'll introduce you two." I replied.
"I can't wait." He said.
"Idiot" I replied and cut the call.

Today I was playing the cupid role for my bestfriend Shivay. We decided to meet in front of the dance academy.
"Shivani this is Shivaay. And Shivaay she's shivani. Waoho I realised your name are so much alike." ' you may now kiss the bride.' I mumbled to myself, while introducing the both.
"Nice to meet you shivani." Shivay said, forwarding his hand for a handshake. Shivani took his hand for a handshake.
"Nice to meet you too." She replied.
"I've seen you before." Replied my idiot friend. Like seriously dude you both go to the same school and you're my bestfriend.
"I get it you're nervous but please don't screw this." I whispered slowly to Shivay.
"Yes, we go to the same school and you're Avni's classmate and you came to her birthday party." She replied the obvious.
"Okay so let's talk about your academy Shivay." I interrupted them before my idiot friend says something lame. "So how's your coach? How does he teach? He doesn't take advantage of girls, right?" I asked these questions and he replied all the questions. After some time the atmosphere lightened. They both talked to each other normally and exchanged their numbers. Then we went inside the academy and talked to the coach. Everything went smooth.
