"What do we do?!" Lila shrieked, pulling Peter out of his haze.
"I don't think she can hear us" he half sobbed out. "Y/n no stop! Please stop!" He dropped down to the floor right in front of you and tried putting his hands under your head but you just kept lashing out at him mumbling the same things. "No no it's not my fault!"
Every time you pushed him away he came right back, putting his hands under your head.
Cooper came running out through the door, "what's happening?!" He asked frantically watching you on the floor, blood dotted around.
"We don't know!" Replied Lila, "aren't you meant to be playing right now?"
He nodded but only replied quickly before kneeling down next to Peter. "I saw you run out so I ran off". He gently nudged your shoulder, "y/n?"
You jerked away and continued mumbling.
"She won't let anyone touch her" interrupted Sarah.
Cooper stared for a moment wide eyed until he saw a flash of pain across Petes face. His hands looked sore and grazed from protecting your head so cooper turned back to Sarah. "Go get Miss Court, your the fastest! Hurry up!"
She was standing there one second, and the next, she was gone. It was the first time she had meant to use her powers in front of you all and still no one could tell what they were.
"Lila come over here" he demanded now sounding more confident than a few moments before. "Peter give Lila your phone so she can call Tony and get someone here".
She looked through the phone and waited for an answer watching cooper try and talk to you.
"Hey Kid are you ok?" Came a voice through the phone.
"Tony! It's Lila, y/n is freaking out we don't know what's wrong!"
"Ok calm down" he said with a hint of hysteria also laced in his voice. "Have you gone to get help?"
"Yes Sarah's gone to get Miss Court but y/ns mumbling and isn't responding".
"Ok just stay calm, can you pass the phone to Pete?" She held the phone to him and he took it with one hand as cooper gently placed his hands under your head for extra support.
"Mr Stark she's been acting off all morning and I should have noticed I don't know what's wrong she was panicking and now she isn't responding and she's hurting herself and she won't let us near". He quickly let it all out in one long string of words waiting for iron man to help.
"Ok kid just calm down, me, Steve and Bucky are on our way. A teacher should be there any second to help but I just need you to answer some questions for me ok?" He carried on without waiting for a response.
"Is she responding at all when you speak to her?"
"N-no" Peter stuttered out, "she isn't responding when we speak but if we touch her she lashes out or jerks away".
"Ok your doing a good job. What are her eyes doing?"
"We can't see her eyes but a minute ago I did and they looked unfocused and she was just staring. Is that bad?!"
Tony kept his voice as calm as he could, "just focus on the questions Pete. Is she saying anything?"
"Uh she's mumbling but we can't understand most of it. She keeps saying no and it's not my fault but I don't know what that means. She's crying Mr stark and her heads bleeding". Peter sobbed again.
"It's ok we are 5 minutes away your doing a really good job just stay calm. I think she's having a panic attack or some kind of trauma episode. Like the ones the team occasionally get".
Peter nodded knowing Tony wouldn't be able to tell but he couldn't say anything else.
Just then Miss Court came running around the corner with Sarah. "Oh my gosh what's happening?!" she asked, immediately crouching down to touch your back but you jerked again. She retracted her hand as Lila told her.
"She started panicking and now she won't respond".
"Ok" she said staying calm for everyone. "We need to get her to my office. Have you called her dad?"
Everyone nodded back. "Right. We need to somehow move her so it's quieter but I'm not sure how since she isn't responding".
Pete stood up and handed the phone with Tony still on to Lila and crouched back down. He quickly put an arm under your legs and under your neck picking you up bridal style but instantly got hit in the face. Cooper leapt forward to hold down your hands and everyone basically ran inside.
"What's happening?!" Tony asked through the phone making Lila jump. "They're taking her inside, she still isn't answering and she hit Peter again. Are you close?"
"Don't worry we are a couple of minutes away, we'll come straight to you".
In the office the boys put you down as carefully as possible but ended up dropping you halfway due to your flailing arms.
You hugged yourself tight into the fetal position and began hitting your head to the floor again. Miss Court was trying to speak to you but getting completely looked over as you continued to stutter out the same things. "NO!! I DIDN'T! IT WASN'T MY FAULT!" Every so often the words would come out as a shriek instead. Your sobs were getting louder and your breathing was getting more erratic as you began Hyperventilating and taking in deep gasps. The blood from your head still hadn't stopped and it spotted around the carpet.
Shouting started in the hall and Lila ran out, "in here!" She yelled and was followed back in by three frantic super heroes.
Steve immediately dropped to his knees and placed his hands on your shoulders but once again you flinched. He hovered his hands over you wide eyed when Bucky sat down next to him speaking gently. "y/n can you hear me sweetheart. Your safe your with me and dad at school. Can you hear me? It's ok, your safe". He kept repeating these words like he did when you were little and having an episode.
Tony went straight to the twins and Peter holding their shoulders in a reassuring gesture. "You guys did so well, thank you for helping her until we could get here".
He cupped peters cheek and looked into his teary eyes before pulling all three into a hug.
Your gasps broke Tony away to crouch next to Steve and Bucky, "she isn't calming down" said the blonde watching you try to take a decent breath.
"It's never been this bad before she isn't responding at all" said Bucky looking scared.
"Ok" said Tony making a decision. "We need to get her to Bruce. Steve your driving, Lila your in the passenger seat, snap Steve out of any panicked trance he gets himself in. Buck, you, me and y/n will sit in the middle row. We will carry her to the car and then not touch her once we're in there and boys you'll be in the back row".
He still hadn't noticed Sarah who was standing near the desk, Miss Court turned to her, "stay in my office and we can talk if you need or just calm down and call your mum" she said gently getting a nod in return.
Steve reluctantly left with the three other kids to get the car ready and Tony stood by the door. "Alright pick her up I've got the doors".
Bucky bent down and because you were shrieking and trying to hit him off he had to hold you tight to his chest so you wouldn't get hurt.
"Y/ns dad is captain America?" The teacher questioned to Sarah as everyone left.
You screamed the whole way to the car so he practically jumped in, letting you go as Tony jumped in right after and closed the door. Steve started driving and everyone went silent for a moment. Bucky and Tony sat either end of the middle row as close to the door as possible to give you room. You were still sobbing but quieter now and random words still floated out your mouth.
The bleeding still hadn't stopped and covered your face, neck and hands, aswel as the seat you were mumbling into. It also smeared across Buckys neck and top whilst Petes hands were also covered as he held them out, careful not to touch anything.
Tony turned around in his seat to lean into the back row where the boys sat. "Hey Pete can you tell me what happened leading up to this?"
With a sniff he started telling as much as he could remember.
"Um well she's been acting a bit strange for a while, just quieter, and last week she stopped sitting with us at breaks. But I didn't think it was that serious because we would see her at lunch. And a while ago she came in late because she had a nightmare but she didn't want to talk about it. And she's slowly been getting quieter and she attends less lessons than she used to and-"
He cut himself off with a small sob so Tony gently rubbed his shoulder and waited for him to carry on.
"And today she seemed extra jumpy and I could hear her heart rate was really high but she kept saying she was fine but I think it was worse because-because....".
"What is it Pete?"
"Well last night when y/n let me sleep in her room I think she was having nightmares. But I didn't want her to know that I knew because I didn't want her to hate me but I swear I was going to tell you!" He sounded a bit panicked but was quickly calmed down.
"Hey, hey it's ok I believe you" shushed Tony as Bucky joined the conversation.
"She was having nightmares? That would explain all the dirty pyjamas how did we not see this before".
Peter nodded, wiping away a tear. "Yea it seemed like it so I dropped a book to wake her up so she wouldn't know I heard".
Bucky nodded and made a confused face at Tony, "Nightmares would explain all this but I thought FRIDAY could tell and we didn't get any alerts?"
"I don't know it should have shown up I'll check it when we get back".
Only a minute later the compound came into view. Bucky held you tight again and everyone ran inside. Just as you got to the main area Bucky couldn't hold you anymore as you were getting more and more distressed so he accidentally dropped you. You fell onto the rug screaming louder than ever, balling your fists. Red droplets ran down your face as you kept letting out screams. That alerted Bruce and Clint who scrambled into the room. "What happened?!" Asked Bruce trying to asses you.
"Um panic attack, trauma episode? We aren't entirely sure" replied Tony watching the doctor try and touch you. Everyone was frantic knelt beside you trying to calm you down or get you to respond to someone but it wouldn't work. You just kept screaming louder from deep in your stomach still trying to claw at your face or hit anyone who came close enough.
Steve was crying and Bruce was shouting your name, "Y/N! CAN YOU HEAR ME?"
You suddenly stopped screaming and rolled onto your back gasping. "Y/n can you hear me?" He said quieter this time.
He watched as your eyes rolled into the back of your head and your whole body started shaking.
