"How could you not tell them?" Victoria asks going antiquing with her mom and Sookie.
"Well they left two days after Sookie's wedding, and they were in Martha's vineyard all summer. It just seemed quieter" Lorelai defends herself. "What do you think? Manly?" Sookie asks picking up a lamp.
"In an Oscar Wilde sort of way, absolutely. You know you're gonna have to tell them tonight, right" Victoria answers before turning to her mother. "Yeah, I mean the subject will come up. They probably think you and Christopher are heading down the aisle and day now" Sookie agrees. "I know, I know" Lorelai sighs.
"A shaving table. It's perfect" Sookie gasps.
"And $1,200" Victoria adds. "$1,200 for what?" Sookie asks in disbelief.
"What do you mean for what? This is an antique" Mrs Kim pops up out of nowhere. "Where does she come from?" Victoria whispers. "This was Sherman's shaving table" Mrs Kim tells them.
"Sherman?" Lorelai asks.
"General Sherman, famous man. Burned Atlanta, like a close save" Mrs Kim explains. "Wow, historical" Lorelai replies.
"All original, perfect shape. I'll give you 10% off, you want it?" Mrs Kim offers. "Oh, well, maybe. I just wanted to look around a little bit first but it's very nice" Sookie answers unsure. "I know it's very nice" Mrs Kim says before quickly walking away.
"Boy, she would've made a great nun" Lorelai says.
"So, how are you planning on telling them?" Victoria asks. "I thought I'd do it like Nell, you know chica chica chica bee" Lorelai jokes.
"Yeah, that's a very good idea" Sookie laughs. "Oh, I'll tell them. I promise" Lorelai says. "Oh, my god! Look" Sookie gasps.
"What?" Victoria asks following her.
"For over the mantelpiece. It's perfect" Sookie says looking at a giant fish. "It's a dead fish" Lorelai says.
"It's an antique stuffed and mounted trout, and I think it's manly" Sookie corrects her. "Oh, please" Lorelai says. "It is, it's very Ralph Lauren" Sookie insists.
"Sookie, Jackson loves you. You're not seriously telling me the future of your marriage depends on Leon Troutsky over there" Victoria tells her.
"I-I guess not" Sookie admits. "Just think about it, okay? You don't have to make every decision right now, do a little more shopping" Lorelai suggests.
"Okay" Sookie agrees. "Okay, we gotta go pick up Rory at the airport and then we'll swing by and pickup you guys for the festival" Lorelai tells her. "Great" Sookie says.
"Okay, see you later" Lorelai says before starting to walk away.
"Bye" Sookie says. "Bye" Victoria replies.

"Hey, Gilmore!" Lorelai yells seeing Rory in the airport.
All three Gilmore girls start running but due to both Victoria and Lorelai jumping onto Rory they all fall down. "Luckily, there are video cameras everywhere that caught that very graceful moment on tape" Victoria laughs.
"I'm so glad to see you!" Rory tells them. "No, I'm glad to see you" Lorelai says. "I'm never leaving home again" Rory insists.
"Oh, that's my emotionally stunted girl" Lorelai says.
"Hey, we got you gifts" Victoria tells her sister. "What? I'm the one that left, I'm supposed to get you gifts" Rory replies.
"Well we got here early and there was nothing to do except reed gummy bears to the bomb sniffing dogs, which apparently the United States government frowns upon" Lorelai explains. "You got in trouble with the government while you were waiting for me?" Rory asks. "Just a little" Victoria says.
"How much is a little?" Rory asks.
"Learn Russian. Okay, here you go" Lorelai says handing Rory a sweatshirt. "Wow. A Hartford, Connecticut sweatshirt" Rory says.
"Nice, huh?" Victoria asks. "Hartford, Connecticut notebook, Hartford, Connecticut pencil set, a Hartford, Connecticut shot glass" Rory lists going through the bag. "And beer mug" Lorelai tells her.
"Hartford baguette, Hartford bear, Hartford sunglasses" Rory says putting on the sunglasses.
"You like?" Victoria asks her. "I love" Rory answers.
"Alright let's go, we'll get your bad and then hit the road and then I can't wait to hear all about Washington and by the way I got both of you out of dinner with the Gilmores tonight" Lorelai says. "Wait me too?" Victoria asks. "Yes, figured you wouldn't want to be there for the inevitable fight that will come when they find out about your father" Lorelai confirms.
"What'd you tell them?" Rory asks her.
"That you get home tomorrow, and Vic has the flu" Lorelai answers. "So complete lies?" Victoria asks.
"Yes, which proves how much I love you. The fact that I was willing to lie to my own parents who I never lie to just so you could keep your happiness is proof positive of my deep undying devotion to my daughters" Lorelai replies. "I appreciate that" Rory says. "And all of that devotion could be yours for the low, low price of $29.95" Lorelai adds.
"Forget it" Victoria says.
"Ok, I'll throw in a set of steak knives" Lorelai tells her. "Oh well if you're throwing in steak knives then of course" Victoria jokes.
"Very good, and how bout you missy?" Lorelai asks turning to Rory. "My bags, please" Rory says. "Are you telling me that you want this gesture of love for free? What kind of world are you living in?" Lorelai asks.

"Oh my god, you do know one option was leaving some of your books at home" Victoria says carrying Rory's heavy bag of books.
"Hey, I offered to carry that one" Rory reminds her. "Next time don't offer insist. Look I'm lopsided now" Victoria replies.
"I can't believe I'm home. I feel like I've been away forever" Rory says. "I agree" Lorelai agrees. "Hello, living room" Rory sighs.
"Hello, Rory. We missed you" Lorelai uses a high pitched voice.
"Not the ottoman of course, but everyone knows he's a snob" she says in her normal voice. "Oh, my god, I missed everything. My kitchen!" Rory runs into the kitchen.
"My room! My books, my CDs, my stuff" she walks in her room. "Where's my pillow?" Rory asks walking right back out. "What?" Victoria asks playing dumb.
"One of you took my pillow" Rory says.
"She did it!" Lorelai points to Victoria. "You took her comforter!" Victoria points back at her.
"You took her Bauhaus t-shirt" Lorelai says. "Snitch" Victoria replies. "I want my stuff back by tomorrow morning" Rory tells them.
"Just cause you leave doesn't mean the world stops" Lorelai says checking the answering machine.
"Noon" Rory insists. "Fine" Lorelai give in.
"Hey Lor it's me please just cal-" they hear Christopher's voice on the answering machine only for Lorelai to cut him off by stopping it. "Dad?" Rory asks. "Yeah" Lorelai confirms.
"Neither of you have talked to him yet huh?" Rory asks.
"No, you?" Victoria asks her. "Nope" Rory answers.
"He's been calling" Lorelai tells her. "I know, he's called me too" Rory replies. "I just-I don't really know what to say" Lorelai says.
"How long you gonna freeze him out for?" Victoria asks her.
"I don't know" Lorelai answers honestly. "Right" Victoria nods.
"I have to tell my parents tonight" Lorelai sighs. "Are you sure you'd don't want me to go and distract them?" Rory offers. "No, I'll be fine. I'll bring them something shiny" Lorelai insists.
"Okay, I'm gonna go change then" Rory says.
"For what?" Victoria asks her. "The festival" Rory answers.
"Hon, you know what if you don't want to go we don't have to" Lorelai tells her. "Why would I not want to go? Of course I want to go" Rory replies. "You just got home. You can have Dean come over" Lorelai says.
"No, I want to go. I want to go because this is our town and we need to support these things" Rory insists.
"Alright but you don't need to change for that" Victoria tells her. "I've been away for a while. I want to make a nice impression" Rory says.
"On who?" Lorelai asks. "Whoever had to look at me" Rory answers. "Alright just hustle. I promised Jackson and Sookie I'd pick them up" Lorelai tells her.
"I'll just be a minute" Rory replies.
"No woman is ever just a minute when she changes" Victoria says. "Do not judge me by your own standards" Rory tells her.
"Wow. Fancy" Lorelai says seeing the dress Rory picked out. "It's not fancy" Rory disagrees. "Okay. Hey, girls, I don't want you to dress out your dad just because I am" Lorelai tells them.
"We're not" Victoria replies.
"Because I'm fine if you want to go back to the way things were" Lorelai says. "I think that would be a little hard this time" Rory tells her.
"Okay. Maybe not now, but eventually" Lorelai responds. "Eventually, maybe. But for now solidarity, sister" Victoria says. "Ya-Ya" Lorelai throws her arms in the air.
"You've been dying to do that haven't you?" Rory asks laughing.
"Ya-Ya" Lorelai repeats. "I'll just be a minute" Rory says.
"Okay" Victoria says as her and Lorelai leave Rory's room.

"I'm leaving in a bit, should be there in about forty minutes" Tristan says over the phone.
"You know you don't have to come if you don't want to right? I know these town events can be a little much especially for people not actually from the town" Victoria tells him. "I kinda like it actually, Taylor fascinated me" Tristan replies.
"Okay, in that case I'll make sure to give you the whole Stars Hollow Summer Festival experience" Victoria says. "I can't wait" Tristan laughs. "I'll see stop then" Victoria replies.
"Bye" Tristan responds.
"Bye" Victoria says hanging up the phone.

"See? Three minutes faster" Lorelai says cutting through a shortcut.
"I also found a way to get to Al's Pancake World that shaves a good forty seconds off our normal route" she adds. "Did you neglect her while I was gone?" Rory asks turning to her sister.
"Yes" Lorelai answers. "No" Victoria says. "She was with Tristan the entire time" Lorelai insists.
"The only reason I saw him more than you was because you had work while he was always free" Victoria tells her.
"Are you crazy?! Have you lost your mind?!" they hear Jackson yelling as they reach Jackson and Sookie's house. "I don't understand why you're so upset" Sookie replies.
"How can you not understand?! I told you a thousand times" Jackson yells back. "I thought you were just being nice" Sookie says as the girls peak in and see the whole house looking completely different. "Nice?! Sookie, look at this place" Jackson says.
"Oh, jeez" Victoria says looking at what Sookie did.
"I think it looks nice" Sookie says. "Nice? Nice" Jackson repeats her.
"This is nice. This is nice?!" he yells pointing to the beat statue. "Well, it's masculine" Sookie replies. "No, it's terrifying! I swear I'm gonna come out in the middle of the night for a drink of water, turn around, hit the floor, and play dead" Jackson tells
her.
"Okay, so we have a little work to do" Sookie says.
"We'll just check on them a little later" Lorelai says as they walk away from Sookie and Jackson's house. "Excellent idea" Rory agrees.

"Okay, so... do we do cheese stick, hot dog, cotton candy, or do we mix it up, first cotton candy and then cheese sticks? Who are you looking for?" Lorelai asks seeing Rory looking around.
"No one. I'm just taking in all the madness" Rory answers. "Lorelai, good have you sued that cream yet?" Kirk asks running over to them.
"Uh not yet, Kirk" Lorelai replies. "Good, there's been a little problem" Kirk tells her. "What kind of problem?" Lorelai asks.
"Nothing of major concern. It just seems that with continual use, the cream develops some weird reactions to light and air and movement" Kirk explains.
"Are you serious?" Lorelai asks. "Don't worry, it's just a small kink. It'll all be worked out" Kirk says.
"I have three cases of that stuff sitting at the inn" Lorelai tells him. "Well get rid of it" Kirk replies. "Kirk" Lorelai says.
"Uh, but don't throw it in the trash. Apparently that would be an EPA violation" Kirk adds.
"What am I supposed to do with it?" Lorelai asks him. "Shooting it into space is all I've got" Kirk answers.
"Kirk" Lorelai says. "I'll pick up the cases tomorrow" Kirk give in. "Thank you" Lorelai thanks him as he walks away.
"Hey" she says turning to her daughters.
"What?" Victoria asks. "Do you sometimes think this town is weird, or is-is it just me?" Lorelai asks her.

"Hey Taylor, is this where the mosh pit starts?" Lorelai asks jokingly walking over to Taylor.
"Hello, girls. How do you like the band? Pretty big city don't you think?" Taylor asks. "Mm-hmm. I sure do" Lorelai answers.
"What?" Taylor asks her. "What? I'm agreeing with you" Lorelai replies. "They are smokin" she adds.
"I do not care for that sarcastic tone, Lorelai" Taylor says.
"She's not being sarcastic, Taylor" Victoria tells him. "She had an opinion on everything, nothing is ever up to her standards" Taylor says.
"That is not true, I'm sure these guys are all great barbers" Lorelai replies. "I don't know why I bother" Taylor says before leaving. "That is it. I have been nice for the last-what?" Lorelai asks seeing Rory staring off at something.
"Oh, well, it looks like he's got his what I did this summer essay all researched and ready to go" Victoria says noticing Jess and some girl making out against a tree.
"Guess you dodged a bullet there, huh?" Lorelai says turning to Rory. "What do you mean?" Rory asks playing dumb.
"I don't know, just seems kind of lucky you didn't throw everything away for Jess when you see" Lorelai starts "She what? What am I seeing?" Rory asks with an attitude. "You're upset" Lorelai points out.
"No. I'm not upset" Rory denies.
"Yes, you are upset. I know when you're upset because you look like my mother" Lorelai tells her.
"Thanks a lot" Rory scoffs. "You like my mother" Lorelai says. "Yes, but you don't like your mother so when you tell me that I look like you're mother it's not exactly a compliment" Rory points out.
"Rory, what is wrong?" Victoria asks her.
"Oh, god" Rory groans. "What is it?" Lorelai asks.
"It's that" Rory gestures to Jess. "Jess?" Victoria asks. "Yes" Rory confirms.
"You're upset about Jess?" Lorelai asks her.
"I said yes" Rory replies. "Yes, it's Jess?" Lorelai asks.
"You're not being funny" Rory sighs. "It's not my fault that yes and Jess rhyme. Did I exploit the opportunity? Of course I did, but..." Lorelai gets cut off as Rory starts to walk away. "Rory, come on. I know you had this crush" Victoria says following after her with Lorelai close behind.
"It wasn't a crush" Rory denies it.
"I thought it was over, I mean you haven't talked to him since-" Victoria starts again. "Sookie's wedding" Rory finishes for her.
"You talked to him at Sookie's wedding?" Lorelai asks. "Yes" Rory confirms. "He wasn't at Sookie's wedding" Lorelai says.
"Yes he was. He had just coke back, and he came to see me" Rory explains.
"Okay, so he crashed Sookie's wedding, and?" Lorelai asks her. "And nothing. He told me that he was back in town, that he moved back and..." Rory trails off.
"What, Rory? Come on" Victoria pushes her to continue. "And we kissed, okay?" Rory admits. "You kissed?" Lorelai asks.
"Yes" Rory confirms.
"You kissed like you kissed?" Lorelai asks her. "Yes" Rory answers.
"Okay, who kissed who?" Victoria asks. "What does that matter?" Rory asks her. "Because it matters. Did he kiss you? Did you kiss each other? Did you trip and your faces accidentally-" Victoria rambles.
"I kissed him" Rory tells her.
"Okay" Victoria sighs. "And I don't know, I thought he came back here because he like me or something and I kissed him, and he kissed me back and now he's over there and I feel so stupid and that girl isn't even his type and..." Rory goes on.
"Rory, what are you doing?" Lorelai asks her. "What do you mean what am I doing, I'm ranting. You should recognize this I learned it from you" Rory answers. "Yeah, but you went to Sookie's wedding with Dean" Lorelai reminds her.
"I know" Rory says.
"And then you ran off to have something with Jess" Lorelai continues. "It was a kiss, not a thing" Rory defends herself.
"God, I can't even listen to you right now" Victoria scoffs starting to walk away. "Victoria!" Rory calls after her. "No, Rory. A kiss is a thing, I knew you had a thing for Jess and I never judged you for that cause I know you can't control how you feel but what the hell Rory you have a boyfriend I know Dean might not always be perfect but he still deserves better than this and honestly so does Jess" Victoria says before storming off.
"It wasn't planned, it just happened!" Rory yells but it's no use because Victoria doesn't turn back.
"I can't believe it, all this time I'm thinking she's with Dean" Lorelai says. "I am with Dean" Rory insists.
"No, Rory. Your sisters right, kissing another guy is not being with Dean asks him I bet he'd back me up on that" Lorelai replies.

"So are you gonna tell me what's bothering you?" Tristan asks walking through the festival with Victoria.
"Eventually, I don't want to get into it right now" Victoria answers. "Alright, would cotton candy help?" Tristan offers. "It wouldn't hurt" Victoria smiles.
"I'm on it" Tristan says before running off to the cotton candy stand.
"Hey" Dean says walking over with Rory next to him, Rory visibly uncomfortable while Dean painfully oblivious. "Oh, hey" Victoria says not wanting to pretend everything's fine while also not wanting to snitch on her sister.
"You alone?" Dean asks. "No, Tristan's here just getting snacks" Victoria answers. "Okay, well I'm gonna go get something to drink. You want anything?" Dean offers.
"I got lemonade" Victoria says raising her cup.
"Rory?" Dean asks turning to his girlfriend. "Hm?" Rory asks having not been paying attention.
"Drink" Dean says. "Oh, no. I'm good" Rory answers. "Alright" Dean nods walking away.
"Can we talk?" Rory asks once he's out of earshot.
"Not now Rory" Victoria shakes her head. "We need to talk" Rory says.
"Not here" Victoria replies. "Tonight?" Rory asks. "Fine" Victoria sighs.

"Here you go" a guy says handing Victoria her prize.
"Thank you" she thanks him. "Out of all the cute animals you choose a dinosaur" Tristan points out.
"It's a brontosaurus" Victoria hugs the stuffed dinosaur. "Ah, my mistake" Tristan says. "It's okay, Bronti forgives you" Victoria replies.
"Bronti the brontosaurus?" Tristan asks.
"Did you have a better suggestion?" Victoria asks him. "Nope, you're right Bronti's perfect" Tristan gives in.

Victoria's in her pajamas brushing her hair when she hears a knock on her bedroom door.
"Hey" Rory says. "Hey" Victoria sighs.
"Can I come in?" Rory asks. "Yeah" Victoria nods. "You can't stay mad at me over this" Rory says walking in.
"Of course that's how you start" Victoria scoffs.
"What do you want me to do?" Rory asks her. "I don't know Rory, it's just really aggravating watching you keep hurting not just other people but yourself too" Victoria replies.
"I'm sorry, I just don't know what to do and I know I'm ruining everything okay I know that but I can't help it. I didn't plan to do it but everything in me told me to kiss him so I just did without thinking" Rory tells her. "You haven't ruined everything, not yet. Just take some time and figure out what you want, alright?" Victoria says. "Alright" Rory agrees.
