Vicki's POV
After completing my transition, Stefan showed me to a spare room in the house and left for the night. I wonder where he went? Oh right! He's at Elena's. That's when she breaks up with him.
When I wake up the next morning I feel so much better. I decided to wear just a simple outfit today so I pick out a pair of jeans, a tank top, and a cardigan.
I go downstairs and make myself some coffee and decide to call Sheriff Forbes. I listen to the rings and wait for her to pick up.
"Vicki, is that you?"
"Yes, Sheriff. I heard you were looking for me?"
"Vicki, we've been worrying sick. Where have you been?"
"I've been staying at a friends. I'm ready to make a statement, though I should tell you, there isn't much to tell."
"What happened at the cemetery, Vicki?"
"That's what I'm calling to talk to you about. I brought Jeremy there, but he left soon after coming. I left after he did. So I don't know what happened but I'm scared that whoever did this, will be coming after me too."
"Okay, go ahead and lay low for a few days while we get everything sorted out and I'll have you come into the station in a few days to make a written statement. That sound okay?"
"Yeah that sounds great, sheriff, thank you. I'll see you then." I hung up. Hmm what do I do now?
I remember that later in the show they had blood bags in the cellar so I decided to head down there and check. Walking past the living room into the foyer I see the door that leads there. Once I get down there I see the same unit from the show. And opening it, I find a ton of blood bags.
Today is my lucky day. I mean, I love Stefan but there's no way I'm drinking animal blood.
I bring a few up so I can drink one now and put the rest in the fridge for later. I find a nice big mug and pour the entirety of the first bag in. It actually smells really good now, and tastes better than yesterday's too. The bag said blood type B negative. Hmm I guess I know which one is my favorite.
I decide to make breakfast for myself and whoever else wants some. I end up making French toast, eggs, and bacon. I also cut up some fruit to eat as well. I sit down with my serving and start to eat while stopping a few times to sip on my "special drink".
Stefan and Damon both walk into the kitchen. "What's all this?"
"I wanted to make breakfast since you are letting me stay here, thank you again." Damon reaches for a piece of bacon and I slap his hand away. "It's not for you, it's for Stefan and Elena if she decides to stop by. Bad vampires who turn people out of boredom don't get my famous French toast." He pouts but pulls his hand away. Aw he looks so cute right now maybe a little won't hurt. No! Stay focused.
I see Stefan zoning in on my mug so I quickly grab it to keep it out of arms reach, in case he feels tempted.
The door bell rings and Damon smirks. He goes to open the door and I can hear him and someone talking. No, arguing. I decide to put my hearing to the test and focus on the voices.
"How can you be so arrogant and glib after everything you've done?" Elena's here? Ugh she's gonna say some shit to me about leaving Jeremy alone.
"And how can you be so brave and stupid to call a vampire arrogant and glib?"
"Vicki?" I'm being shaken by Stefan.
"Huh?"
"You kinda spaced out, you okay?"
"Oh, um, yeah I'm okay" I hear the door close. I'm guessing Elena's in here now and Damon left.
"In here, Elena!" I yell from the kitchen. She peaks her head around the corner, confusion written on her face. "I heard you talking to Damon."
"Oh. Vicki, how are you?" I hate how she's looking at me right now.
"How am I? You're kidding right?" Okay I might have stolen OG Vicki's line. Sue me. "If you guys are going to start talking about me like I'm not here, go somewhere else. I'm going to finish my breakfast." I say before taking a sip of my drink.
They walk out into the foyer to talk. I roll my eyes, I can still hear them. They are going on about since I was a druggie, that my transition would be different. 12 steps, vampire with issues, yada yada yada. I'm not really listening.
Elena walks back in while Stefan goes to do something else. I pull out my phone and look at my contacts. Hmm I did tell Matt that I would call him, maybe I should call Jeremy too just so that he won't worry. I click on Jeremy's name.
"Who are you calling?" Nosy bitch.
"Jeremy"
"Vicki, you can't see Jeremy anymore."
I scoff. "You really can't tell me what to do Elena. Besides Jeremy and Matty are the only things that are keeping me together right now. I would never hurt them." I'm starting to feel lightheaded. What is happening?
"I know you think that, but I can't take that risk." God, her voice is so whiny. "You're going to have to let Jeremy go now."
"OH MY GOD. SHUT UP ELENA!" I feel this weird power coursing through my veins, it's different from the vampire part. As soon as I yell at her, a vase nearby shatters. Actually it more like explodes but you get the idea.
What is happening to me? Did I do that?
Elena stands frozen in shock. She looks at me with fear in her eyes. I mirror her expression.
Stefan rushes in probably scared that I hurt her. But when he sees the vase, it looks like a lightbulb goes off in his head. "Why don't you head upstairs and I'll walk Elena out."
"Um, okay." I walk upstairs and head to the room I'm staying in. I sit on the bed and wait for Stefan. He walks in and stands next to the bed.
"Do you know why that happened?"
"No I don't. Why?" Instead of answering me, he grabbed a candle from the bedside table and held it in front of me.
I take it from him and stare at him in confusion. "Light it. Come on, you can do it. Just focus."
Is he implying that I have magic? I focus on the wick of the candle. Incendia? Is that the right spell? After focusing on the candle for a minute, I give up and tilt my head to look at Stefan.
"It's not going to work." I scoff. He looked at the candle then back at me and smiled.
"Look." I looked down at the candle and it was lit. I also noticed that the other candles in the room were also lit. Just like what happened to Bonnie.
But how would I be a witch and vampire at the same time? That would mean I would have to be a siphon before turning, right? That would make sense that Vicki never knew about it, there wasn't ever magic around her enough to know.
"I'm a witch too" I said in awe. "Like a siphon?"
"How do you know about that?" Shit!
"Um... I've been reading about it." Good save.
