Dark Pit, aside from having a crush on this boy. I do have a few reasons why I like him as a character, there's actually a lot of reasons. A few of them I hadn't realized until now.
Angsty characters always get me, Like he's edgy Pit. How could he not be my favorite! But unlike some other clones, he has a personality, a very interesting one! I'm now gonna explain his personality from how I see it, and why I find it interesting.
Dark Pit when he's first introduced is of course Dark Pit. He's mean and a dick, and very arrogant. I find it a little odd that Palutena labels him as fundamentally wicked and destructive, though even in that chapter, The worse he does is hide in some sketchy ruins and insult Pit.
The worst things he's done in the series:
-Bully Pit
-Bully Palutena
-gets labeled as destructive though we're unsure if that's true. My personal headcanon/theory is that he takes out any urges for destruction in sparring matches with people, if that's not an option he's gonna go bully some underworld monsters. //As seen in chapter 9 // that's the worst he's doing for destruction, that we see.
This is really interesting to me, Palutena seems so quick to just want him gone. Which at some point it's reasonable, Their unsure if he's with the underworld army, or if he's just a angry teenager. Maybe I'm looking a little too much into this, maybe I'm crazy.
With absolutely no transition. Dark Pit is a hypocrite.
He seems to be going back and forth on wether or not he's a clone.
Lines where he denies being a clone.
-claims Pit is the copy, not him.
-mainly just claiming Pit is a copycat and not him lets be honest here.
-"If I was a copy why would I kick my own butt."
Not sure if I should mention this but like the Japanese version has this instead
-"why do you say I'm the copy, right now. I'm alive"
???????? I feel like a conspiracy theorist rn.
Lines where he admits it.
-when he's taunting Pit
-the chaos kin arc, admitting he needs Pit to exist or he doesn't exist.
It's kinda interesting to seem him contradict himself, like saying he'll never work for a goddess. And instantly working for Viridi.
Off topic because this is already a mess but like, Dark Pit says shit in the Japanese version, DARK PIT SHOULD SAY SHIT IN THE ENGLISH VERSION I THINK IT'S FUNNY.
Anyways I like him because I think it's funny how he's a hypocrite, and I like edgy characters. I just wanted to go on a tangent about the Japanese version and the English version, long story short. Please watch the Japanese versions with subs if you don't have the game/don't speak Japanese! Unfortunately the English version doesn't provide you with an option for japanese as the language with English subtitles.
It's interesting to see both of them and then to compare them.
