Chapter 33: Confession
Ever since the day the young prince stepped out of those doors, the citizens has been mocking him and criticizing him for the things he had done and failed to do when he could've done something about it. But the moment he opened his mouth, society have made an anonymous decision. And that is to give him a second chance to prove himself.
From that day onward, he pledged his workforce into helping everyone around the kingdom. He helped them rebuilding the destroyed shops and houses. His kindness knows no bound. Even after some people who still hates him cuss and throws tomatoes at him, he still retains that signature smile of his. Those who were concerned for his well being are constantly being reassured by him that he's alright with it.
Hours turns into days. Days into weeks. Weeks into months. It was only after five years, his kind deed had finally earned back the trust from the citizens of the Sun Kingdom. His kind deed are not just bound within these walls, it spreads out to even the most remote villages. Path was made for easier travel to the main capital and help was provided to them and it resulted for the villages to thrive and became part of the Sun Kingdom as well. And in those five years,
"It's finally finished."
"The majestic castle is finally back."
Builders who came from all four remaining kingdoms came to help and rebuild the Sun palace. It took 5000 men laying brick by brick to make up the castle that was destroyed. The royal family was the most excited to see their new home have finally been finished being built. The royal family had been living inside a humble house for the last five years and now it's nearing moving day for them.
"Is everyone ready?" The head of the family asked
"We're ready Kaa chan." The eldest sister answered
"Where's onii chan?" One of the younger siblings asked
"Just a sec! Ow!" The redhead showed up and bumped into something
"Careful now, that's a supporting beam onii chan."
"Yes, I know Nezuko." Tanjiro rub his forehead
"Well then, are all of my children ready?" Kie cheerfully asked
"Hai!" Everyone got excited
They all got out and began to walk across the street as their new home was not that far away. They walked amongst the normal people blending with the crowd. Of course as a safety precaution, guards were dispatched to escort them safely through the streets. And it seems like they were pulling in some attention.
"Thank you your majesty!"
"You're the best!"
"Thanks for fixing my shop!"
"Wow, a lot of them likes us." Nezuko was amazed
"Yeah, it seems like it Nezuko." Tanjiro replied
"You see Tanjiro, all of this came from all of your hard work. Without your compassion, then maybe a lot of them would be still homeless." Kie simply said
"Hai, Kaa san."
After a short journey, they finally arrived at the front door to the castle. Though still in the process of moving in the furniture, the family didn't mind as they were told it would take another five days for it to be finished. They all entered and already, they had their jaws hung down.
"It looked very similar to before." They all muttered
"Well of course, it was according to the original blueprint after all."
"Ah, Wan san." Tanjiro greeted the man
"Thank you for helping me with supervising the construction process Wan san. I couldn't really helped with my work." Kie apologize
"It's part of my duty, so you don't have to worry about it that much your majesty." Wan simply replied
"So the castle aren't gonna move around like before, right?" Nezuko questions
"Not quite."
Wan tap his foot twice and the whole structure began to shake. They were concerned that the castle would collapse at any moment. But that weren't the case.
"What's that shake?"
"An earthquake?"
"No it was not. That was the castle coming back to life." Wan calmly said
"Eeehhh?!" All of them except for the mother were stunned
"Can't we just remove that feature?" One of the siblings complains
"If we remove it, then it was like we were taking away a life. Don't you think so?" Nezuko tried to reasoned with them
"That's right Nezuko. Think of it as the way the castle welcomes its guests." Tanjiro adds
"Positive thinking. You two will surely be a fine ruler one day." Kie praised them
"For the time being." Wan tapped his foot again. "The rooms will not move to facilitate the movers moving around."
"Do we get to see our rooms?"
"Go ahead. Just up the stairs to the right and you'll find them."
All of the children screams in excitement and began to run towards the stairs. This includes Nezuko who was also excited to see her room. Tanjiro was about to go as well but he remembered something important.
"Ah, gomen Kaa san. I just remembered something important. Can I please excuse myself?" Tanjiro asked his mother
"Of course Tanjiro. After all, you need some rest. Be careful now." Kie reminds him
"Hai. Please excuse me." Tanjiro ran out of the castle
"Looks like someone is excited for something." Wan commented
"Well, I may or may not know why he's that excited." Kie giggled
"It's his choice. Maybe, he will finally found the one."
The two adults stood there looking at the opened entrance in silent. They're both thinking the same thing and they hoped for their intuition to come true.

Meanwhile at the Kingdom of snow, the Spade Kingdom, a certain lady is getting ready to go out. She had dressed not as fancy as what she would usually wear but not too casual either. She went out of her room with confidence and went straight towards the queen's chamber. She knocks on the door and she was greeted.
"Come in." The queen answered as she turns in her seat
"I'm going out, nee san." She confidently said
"Ah, should I assign some guard for you?" The queen asked her back
"No need. I think Kanae nee san would agree." She suddenly brought up the name
"I see. Then, be careful. It's snowing out today."
"Hai. I will be going now." She left
"Haaa......"
"Is there something wrong your majesty?" A man stood besides her asked
"It's nothing Tatsuo san. I just never thought the day would came to see her like this." She muttered
"I believed there's someone to thanked for that. And I think you've already known whom." Tatsuo casually said
"Is that so? Oh and about Kanae-"
"She's gonna be fine your majesty. As long as the king had not found out about it yet." Tatsuo joked a little
"When will they get married already?"
"Gave them a little more time. Just like how you gave Kanao sama hers."
Shinobu looked at the closed door with a smile thinking about her little sister. She turned back to the desk where she was doing some research of her own. Tatsuo was there merely because she requested for him to help her. He had to do it but it wasn't a bad thing for him.

'Ah, I'm feeling excited tonight.'
"Konbanwa Tanjiro."
Somewhere in the middle of the woods, a pair of royalty had somehow met each other in the cover of darkness. Both had came on their own horses and the prince had been expecting his date.
"My lady. Konbanwa. Shall we?" Tanjiro bowed slightly
"Where are we going?" She asked getting curious
"Somewhere special."
Tanjiro lead the way as Kanao was following close behind. She was clueless as to why he decided for them to meet here. Then not long after they've embarked, they arrived at an open field with the moonlight shining gracefully on the grass. Tanjiro dismount his horse and helped Kanao dismount hers.
"We're here." Tanjiro simply said
"It looks nice. An open field." Kanao replied
"Not just any open field."
Tanjiro began to walk forward and every steps he takes, the footprints he left behind glows which intrigued Kanao into following him. After they're quite in the center of the field, Tanjiro reached his hands down onto the ground. He slowly makes a circle around himself and the circle enlarges and multiply by ten folds creating rings of different sizes.
"Ready for this?" Tanjiro asked looking at her
"Un." Kanao nodded
With a smile on his face, he lifts his hands up and that motioned the rings into being lifted up as well. All of the rings spins and formed a bright yellow sphere. He motions his hands to compress it down and it became so small to the point it could fit in ones palm. He grabs it as it lowers into his hands. He turns over towards Kanao and looked at her in the eyes.
"Here Kanao. It's your turn." He put it out for her to take it
"Eh? Can I? What do I do with it?" Kanao seemed to be a bit clueless
"Just touch it and you'll see." He casually said
"Is it alright?"
"It's not gonna harm you. Here."
Tanjiro gently reaches out for her hand and put the yellow orb on the palm of her hand. Then, something had occured. The part where the orb touches her hand turns pink and it blends in with the yellow colour coming from his hand. He smiles as he let go of it so that she could admire it a bit more closely.
"This is, beautiful." She was amazed
"Now, throw it."
"Eh?"
"Throw it high up into the sky." Tanjiro becomes excited
"Um, okay. Here I go."
Kanao now believed in his words did just as told. She throws the orb high into the sky and it began to glow. The orb then explodes into millions of tiny specks of dusts and they all made an image of sorts. Some became flowers of multiple kinds whilst others became a wheat field forming two sides of magic. In the middle was them standing on their side of the field. Tanjiro on the wheat whilst she was on the flower side. Then the wind blew and pushed the two sides together. The sun and flower became one and formed the flower of the sun. After the show was over, the dusts settles and the light fades away turning it all back to night time.
"That was fun, wasn't it?" Tanjiro smiles widely
"It was, unexpected. But I enjoyed it very much." She giggled
Both of them let out a laugh and they both sat down to stare at the starry night sky. Kanao was enjoying the calm atmosphere that the moon had created whilst Tanjiro seemed like he was waiting for something.
"It won't be long before you're coronated as a King, right Tanjiro?" Kanao suddenly asked
"Ah, hai. It seems like I will be a bit busy by then." Tanjiro rubbed his head
"Will we be seeing each other again after that?" Kanao asked again
"Of course. I will find some free time just to be with you." Tanjiro chuckles
".........." Silent ensues
"Ne, Kanao."
"Hai, Tanjiro?"
"The moon is lovely, isn't it?"
"Hai, it is."
A split seconds after she had responded, she suddenly remembers something that she had read once. She immediately explodes into a blushing mess as she looked at the very calm redhead. She can't tell whether he was joking or it was the real thing. But she had to know. She gathers some composure and looked at him.
"Tanjiro~ Did you know what you've just said to me?" She asked
"Yes I do." He simply replied
"Do you know the meaning of it?"
"Of course I do. I was hoping for you to know what it meant as well."
'He seemed to be too calm about it!' She thought in her head
"So, I wonder. If you know what it meant Kanao."
Tanjiro got up from the grass and walk out in front of her. He got down onto one knee and Kanao almost couldn't believe her own eyes.
"Tanjiro."
"It's been five years since we first go out together. And in those five years, I get to know you even more by the day." Tanjiro took a deep breath. "And each time I was with you, I felt safe deep within my heart. They say a King must have a queen right?"
"Kanao Tsuyuri, Princess of the Spade Kingdom." He took a big gulp as his nervousness is rising rapidly. "W-will you b-be b-by my side a-and become my q-queen?"
Kanao was as stunned as a statue as she tries to comprehend what was happening. Tanjiro still sweating bullets as he's waiting for an answer from her. Both of them are nervous as the thick scent he had picked up proved it. His neck became stiff and he couldn't move his body at all. After some moment later, she finally spoke.
"I-is it fine, if it were me your highness?" Kanao looked up at him. "I mean, I came from a poor family and was abandoned when I'm a child. I only became a princess by a pure coincidence. I don't think I'm worthy for you."
"........Coincidence or not, I will still accept you as who you are. I'm glad to have met you that night when we first had our eyes laid on each other." Tanjiro extends his hand. "So will you take the step with me?"
"P-please, take care of me!" She turns into a blushing mess
As soon as she said that, the field behind them was filled with fireflies flying lighting the night sky. Then snow began to fall on top of them as the temperature is getting colder in this already chilly night.
"Here." Tanjiro gave her his jacket
"W-what about you?" Kanao still hasn't fully recover
"I will be fine. Lets go home shall we?" Tanjiro pull her up with him. "I will escort you back."
"Thank you."
"Anything for you my queen."
As the royal couple began to walk away from the field, behind some of the trees, a few figures had been feeling the excitement and a sense of accomplishment on their part.
"That went better than what we planned. Great job Yushiro." A young man compliments his partner
"Well I only did this because Tamayo sama told me so." The man Yushiro talked back
"You too Saisho san. Your snow magic there was quite great." A young woman adds
"Ah it's nothing Tamayo san. After all, we made a good deal didn't we?" Saisho simply said
"It was a bit shocking to see the prince came to us for help. Like there was nobody else." Yushiro complains
"Now now. Don't bicker over something useless alright?"
"Yeah Yushiro. It's just a favour." Saisho added
"Don't get me started-" He was cut off when suddenly he received a peck on his cheek
"Hey, that's not-" The same thing happened to Saisho as well
"Alright then, lets go back home shall we?" Tamayo began to walk
"H-hai." Both men were still in shock
As the two young men touches their own cheeks, Tamayo only giggled when she sees how they both react. Just for fun, she began to run into the woods. Both Saisho and Yushiro got worried and chased after her and so began their two against one hide and seek.
