Elina POV
I checked my mobile as soon as I head out from my office building.
So many messages were popping up from Edward. Worried, i texted him back and read the previous messages.
Elina you there?
Hello??
Missed voice call
Hey
Call me back.
I groaned inwardly. Is he okay? He never sends me more than two texts.
And it's unusual for him to call me.
I shrugged and called him back.
"Elina? Did you take Jen's car with you?"
"Mm yeah, why?"
"Can you drive?"
Since when Edward lost his braincells? Um? I brought the car with me, ofcourse i can ah~
I mean i can drive but i don't have a driving licence. Uhh hehe!
"Of course baby, whats wrong though?"
"Well, i got a news that-"
I couldn't hear him anymore. Worried i called him back.
He didn't pick up but sent me a text.
Eli, don't use the shortcut for today.
Why?
He didn't reply me later. I waited and waited but he didn't.
"Does he even have any idea how annoying the traffic is if i use the longer route, moreover i don't have a driver's licence."
I mumbled. I am going to go with a short cut anyways.
I started the car and drove off like usual.
After a while i noticed something very odd.
Two black cars were constantly behind me. It was kind of annoying so i drove to the side giving them the chance to go ahead. But they didn't.
This is so!
After a while it was time to take the short cut and those cars were still following me.
I looked out in the mirror and realised, it was a man driving the car.
Are those Sinister's men? But why?
"Sinister made another deal with us, that he wouldn't bother us on a non-purge day!"
I pressed my foot against the accelerator and drove faster.
The man behind started driving faster too.
I reached out for my mobile to call Edward.
Fortunately he picked up.
"Im so sorry Eli, actually i just got to know someone is gonna stalk you today, it's someone related to Sinister, no-im not sure-"
"Edward! I'm being chased!"
I yelled in panic because the man behind just bumped his car into mine, almost pushing me off the bridge.
Other people were yelling, asking me and the man to slow down but neither of us backed down.
"What the fuck- Eli i told you to not use that road! The f-shit! Where are you right now?"
"Mmm w-wait.."
I quickly took a turn into a small alleyway and heard people. Luckily i didn't drive my car over someone's body and managed to get out of the alley.
I could no more see the second black car.
"Elina reply to me!"
"Edward, remember the mall near our usual purge spot?"
"Yes. Okay stop your car right there and hide inside the mall. I am coming right there."
"No way I'm stopping dumbass!"
"Ha!!?"
He shouted, we both argued and argued then finally i stopped the car in the middle of the deserted road.
If i go straight now, i would reach home.
I looked behind using the mirror and the next moment.
"AH!!!"
The man chasing me bumped his car against mine.
Luckily i didn't got hurt because i wore the seatbelt. But that was unexpected.
"Elina?! Please tell me your exact loca-"
My mobile fell from the seat. I bend over to pick it up.
"Edward? Do one thing, wait for me in front of Jen's house."
"No way, I'm tracking your location!"
"No Edward! I can handle it alone okay?!"
Again, me and Edward yelled at each other.
"Fine. I will wa-"
"Ah!"
I screamed once again, this time my head bumped against steering wheel.
Man these guys are so impatient.
I saw another car approaching me from the front.
This time I accelerated at a high speed and deliberately crashed my car against the car in front of me.
Lucky me, the car fell into a ditch. Then i continued to drive with the earlier car still chasing behind me.
"What the fuck is going on."
"Nothing Edward, chill."
"If you get hurt today Elina, i swear to god you are not getting an orgasm tonight."
He threatened.
Oh he knows my weaknesses so well!
"What if i make it home safe?"
"I'll do anything you want."
"Bet."
And with that i drove straight, i pulled in a parking lot of a movie theatre. The man followed my actions but before he could notice anything i sneaked(is this even a word?) out of my car.
"Where the fuck is she.."
I heard him mumble through his mask.
Without making any noise i attack him from behind.
I kicked him roughly.
Man i feel bad for ya
He feel to the ground but got up again and we both were started a physical fight.
After so many punches i was able to knock him out but i was a total mess.
My hips hurt like hell. He kicked me so hard my god.
I moved towards the car, sat in and drove back home.
A note to myself: always follow Edward's advice .
I parked the car in front of Jen's house and got out to see Edward standing there with a frown on his face.
He nervously bit his lips as tears formed near his eyes.
Edward is crying?!
My heart immediately ached looking at his state.
I screamed and ran towards him.
"Edward! Look i made it!"
He wiped the corner of his and grabbed my waist kissing me like there's no tomorrow.
"What the fuck you know i was so worried."
He muttered without a pause. He examined my face and sighed when he didnt notice any injuries.
Edward lead me inside the mansion towards my room.
I really needed a cold shower now. I was about to pull up my top but i saw a bruise on my hip.
"What? why did you stop?"
Edward questioned as he looked at my frozen state.
I shake my head and head inside the bathroom and took a cold shower.
Edward POV
I did notice something weird from Elina's side. She was being way too careful around me.
And i know she is hiding something from me.
Elina then told me she was tired and slept in her room.
I sneaked in her room and yeah, she really was sleeping.
I was adjusting her blanket when she moved a little. Her t-shirt was slightly raised and I saw red mark on her hips.
This what she is hiding from me?
"I dont understand elina, You better not hide something so serious from me."
I mumbled and stepped out. Now that she is back safe, its all good.
"Hey edward."
"Hey.."
I walked towards Harry.
"A few days ago, Ashley came by our house."
I frowned. Now why?
"Why? How did you know?"
"I checked the security cams, looks like she wanted to talk to elina."
Elina never told me this.
"Did she?"
"Yes, Elina sat in her car, i saw. I think you should talk to her."
I nodded.
I hope its not something too serious.
