"I'm gonna be dead soon anyway, so why does it matter" Yellow haired boy spoke as you began to get annoyed by him
"Could you shut up!? Your getting on my last nerve here!" You yelled at the boy as he flinched
"S-SORRY! " The boy stuttered as he apologized
"Tch' " You looked away
'They want us to pick but how are we supposed to pick one? ' Gyutaro questioned in his mind
' I've never layed eyes on a ore' You thought
' I can't tell the difference between any of them ' Tanjiro thought
"I have no clue what to pick" Anger issues boy said
You looked over at tanjiro and saw him sniffing air before walking to the table. You then realized. You closed your eyes and tuned everything out before sensing the perfect ore. Just as you opened your eyes you saw gyutaro infront of you holding two ores.
"Here, I got you one" gyutaro said as he tossed it over to you
You quickly grabbed it with a tick mark on your forehead.
"I was about to do that! You don't have to do everything for me!" You exclaimed
Gyutaro rolled his eyes as he looked at you.
"And here I thought you would be grateful" Gyutaro said

You had one of tanjiro's arms over your shoulder, helping him walk while gyutaro did the same.
"You don't have to help me walk...you guys, I can walk perfectly by myself" Tanjiro said
"Your way to kind for your own good, so just shut the hell up and let us help you" you said
"You could've said that in a kinder way, ya know?" Gyutaro said as a tick mark grew on your forehead
"Shut up! I said what I had to said!" You shouted
"It's 'say' actually" Gyutaro corrected you
"GRRRRR! GYUTARO BE QUIET!" You yelled
"Please you guys.. You have your uniforms and I'm sure that feels heavy" Tanjiro said
"TANJIRO, SHUT THE FUCK UP! IT ISN'T HEAVY SO JUST LET US HELP YOU!" You yelled
"Again, could have been said in a kinder way" Gyutaro said
"GYUTARO! SHUT THE FUCK UP!" You shouted at your brother

"Finally, home sweet home" you said with a yawn, looking at Urokodaki's house
"Took, long enough" Gyutaro muttered to himself
"We made it... Nezuko, Urokodaki.." Tanjiro muttered
Suddenly the front door was kicked open making you jump.
"What the heck!?" You exclaimed
Then Nezuko was seen walking out the door as your eyes widened.
"Nezuko! Your awake!?" You exclaimed, instantly letting go of tanjiro
Nezuko turned to you all and began running towards you all.
While trying to run back to her, tanjiro fell on the ground so you and gyutaro quickly went to help.
And that's when you felt a warm embrace. Your eyes widened as you turned to nezuko.
Tanjiro instantly hugged back, wrapping his arms under her armpits and putting his head on her shoulder as he cried.
"Hmph, no fair, he always gets the first hug" You said with jealousy

Now that nezuko was awake you were cuddling with her in the room, which she seemed to like as when you tried to get up she would pull you back with her. Currently her head was against your chest, with one of her arms over you and the other under you.
"Y/n, could you please come in here" You heard urokodaki's voice
You sighed before successfully getting out of nezuko's grip and walking to the living room, you rubbed your eyes tiredly.
"What is it? I'm tired" You said
"Sit down" Gyutaro said as you let out a unsatisfied grunt
You then sat down in the middle, between gyutaro and tanjiro and leaned your head onto gyutaro's shoulder.
"You should know, there are different kinds of demons" Urokodaki said
"The blood demon art is a special spell that some use to give them abilities, you all may end up having to face some of them in the near future as well" Urokodaki said as you yawned
"Mhm mhm" You nodded, trying to stay awake and listen to what he's saying
"And fighting against super natural abilities will be more difficult then anything you've done" Urokodaki said
"Still, tanjiro, gyutaro and y/n, I have no doubts that you'll be fine" Urokodaki said
"...Right!" Tanjiro said with a shocked face
"So... It seems like nezuko is a whole lot different from other demons" tanjiro said
"Do you think that's because of this blood demon art thingy then?" Gyutaro asked urokodaki
"No I think it's something else, I wouldn't call that a example for blood demon art" Urokodaki answered gyutaro's question
"This may only be a guess but I believe nezuko can recover her strength by sleeping" Urokodaki said

"Don't worry, we'll protect you nezuko" Tanjiro said, stuffing half his face into his arms
Gyutaro was sitting beside him reading a book, while you layed your head on his lap, sleeping peacefully.

"Um, hi" you said to the man standing infront of you
" My name is haganezuka, I've forged the kamado siblings swords" The man said as your eyes sparkled
"Yes! That's us!" You answered quickly
"This is a nichirin sword, I forged them myself" the man said as tanjiro looked at him with a confused face
"Um, do you wanna come in? Have some-" Tanjiro didn't get to finish
"The materials for this kind of sword only come from the mountains close to the sun" Haganezuka said
' When did he have time to switch to a sitting position..?' You questioned in your mind
"Made of scarlet iron and scarlet ore" Haganezuka said
"Unique, they produce steal that can absorb sunlight" Haganezuka said
"Wow, really?" Tanjiro said
"You see, mount (yoko?) is bathed in sunlight all day, never cloudy.." Haganezuka said
"The man still refuses to listen to a word anyone else says" Urokodaki said to himself

"Come on, draw it already, nichirin swords are also called color changing katanas, because depending on the owner, they change colors" Haganezuka said, waving his arms back and forth in a weird motion
Tanjiro, gyutaro and you all held your swords tightly.
As soon as you heard that you quickly drawed your sword, so did tanjiro and gyutaro.
You all held your swords up. Tanjiro's was the first to change which his turned a color of pitch black and gray, next was gyutaro's and his turned a color of light green and dark green, your's turned a color of magenta and light pink.
"Black!?" Haganezuka yelled
"That's interesting" Urokodaki said calmly
"Why!? Does it turning black mean something bad!?" Tanjiro asked panicking
"No, no, it's just that it's a little unusual, you don't see it often, it's pitch black" Urokodaki reassured
"I was really hoping to see a sword turn bright red, damnit!" Haganezuka yelled
"Excuse me! But what does our swords mean?" You asked
Haganezuka turned to you and gyutaro and his face went back to normal.
"For the child of beauty, yours is normal and for the child of whatever, I couldn't care less!" Haganezuka exclaimed
He then went back to tanjiro and pounced on him as you began to get angry.
' I'm so gonna kill this guy, he said he couldn't care less about onii-chan and now he's trying to hurt nii-chan tanjiro! ' You thought
You then place your sword down and ran over the Haganezuka and tried pulling him off of tanjiro.
"Hey! Get off of nii-chan tanjiro right now, you baka!" You yelled as you grabbed onto Haganezuka's haroi
"OUCHH! Hey stop, please let go!" Tanjiro exclaimed
"How old are you anyway!?" Tanjiro questioned
"I'm thirty-seven!" Haganezuka said
Then suddenly a crow came flying through the door, completely distracting you.
"Tanjiro, gyutaro and y/n kamado, I bring your orders" the crow said
"It can talk?" Gyutaro questioned
"You must go to a town, northwest of here and hurry , young girls are disappearing!" The crow exclaimed
" Night after night, atleast one of them vanishes! You all must hunt down the demon responsible and destroy it!" The crow said
"Kamado siblings, prepare yourself well, this is your first assignment as a member of the demon slayer corps!" The crow said
"Alright, it's time" Tanjiro said
