Faith was in a bikini....
And I was dying. Well, it felt like I was dying, because everyone else wasn't wearing a shirt.
And here I was, hiding in the mudroom, peeking out anxiously, waiting for the perfect time to waltz out.
I was not wearing a bikini, I was wearing a one piece, because, because I am! That's why, not everyone has to go out practically naked and feel comfortable with it.
Although, they'd all seen me naked anyway, except Aaron, and he was here! River called him behind my back and invited him to come along if he wasn't over run with pack duties.
And he's here without, oh let me check,
I peeked out the door and ran my eyes over half naked Aaron, wiping my mouth to ensure I wasn't drooling. He had a tattoo, my Aaron had a tattoo, well, multiple actually.
And I wanted to lick them.
"Raven, why are you being a creep?" I shrieked and turned, touching my heart in shock. Dune raised an eyebrow at me. "What are you waiting for?"
I placed my hands on his bare chest and met his eyes seriously. "I, am a coward, that's why," I pulled my hands back before I started molesting him or something.
"Raven, this is ridiculous, you wander around the house in a sports bra half the time, go out and have fun, this is supposed to be for you," Dune grabbed my shoulders and ushered me out the door despite my protest.
I froze as Aaron met my eyes and I gulped as he ran his eyes over my white swimsuit. "About time," my eyes left Aaron as Cross touched my chin and drew my face towards his.
I nodded a little, his dark eyes running over my face as Dune pulled back as Fin called him over.
"I was being shy," I told Cross, shivering as his fingers slipped from my chin, ghosting down my neck, slipping under the strap on my shoulder.
"Is it because he's here?" Cross asked, and I knew who he meant by 'he'
I shrugged and tried not to get flustered as he hand spread out over my bare shoulder. "Maybe," I bit the inside of my cheek as Cross bent to my ear.
"He think you're sexy- we all think that, come on," Cross lifted me over his shoulder and I gasped eyes wide.
"Cross!" I yelled in horror as he slapped me butt, walking towards the pool. "You bastard - put me down! You're not some neanderthal caveman- no, no, don't do it, Cross!"
"Hold your breath princess," Cross took my off his shoulder, holding me in his arms before he jumped into the pool, and I quickly took a deep breath, and we were submerged.
Moments later my head broke above the water and I inhaled air. "Jerk!" I slapped Cross's chest as he held my hips, grinning at me, looking motherfucking hot as hell as he shook out his hair and gave me a boyish grin.
Aaron stood beside River by the pool, talking calmly as Fin and Faith chased each around while Fallon watched the two, holding an ice cream cone.
The others were in the water, Dune, Nicholas, and Lion.
"Oh come on, I was showing you I have other ways to make you -" I placed my hands over his mouth.
"No," I said sternly, pretending to glare at him. Cross licked my hand and I jerked them away, shocked.
"Disgusting! God knows where your mouth has been!" I breathed as Lion dunked Dune under the water, the two of them bickering as Nicholas rolled his eyes and tried to get between the two, only to be splashed and also join in the water fight.
Cross smirked at me. "Raven darling, my mouth-" this time I cut him off with a kiss, and he happily obliged and kissed back.
I pulled back and licked my lips curiously. "What is that?" I asked and Cross dragged his tongue across his bottom lip in response. I leaned up, legs around his hips, hands on his shoulders, kissing him for another taste. "Is that alcohol?"
Cross moved and set on on the edge of the water, hands splayed out on my bare thighs, head tilted up to gaze at me. "Perhaps,"
I bent down and looked at him sideways. "I didn't know you drank,"
Cross's eyes flickered. "I don't,"
"Raven, come here," Faith called and waved her arms around, and it took everything I had not to gaze elsewhere as she jumped around.
Someone call the horny police, because I'm a goner. I shifted up, smiling at Cross before I walked over, swaying my hips more than normal as I felt his heated gaze.
"What's up?" I asked and smiled in delight as Faith handed me a cupcake with white icing and velvet cake, covered in unicorn sprinkles that were rainbow. "Did you make this?" I gushed and stared at the gorgeous cupcake.
Faith smiled and tucked her slightly curly blond hair behind her ear. "Yes, do you like it?"
I nodded and placed my mouth on the tip of the high icing, tasting it while keeping eye contact. "Creamy, just the way I like it-"
Faith slapped my arm and giggled. "Just eat it Raven, before I eat you,"
My face flushed and I took off the wrapper, tossing it in the trashcan set out. "Thank you Faith," I whispered, and she smiled and pulled me into a hug.
I hugged her back, hands on her warm back, careful not to crush my treat. I pulled away and glanced at River and Aaron, finding myself walk over, gazing at the ground shyly. "River," I whispered and tugged on his sleeve.
River and Aaron's conversation stopped abruptly, River looking down to see why I called for him. "Look," I lifted the cupcake a little.
River ran his eyes over the food and nodded. "It's very cute,"
I looked at Aaron, his hand reaching out. I handed him the cupcake, not sure as to why I was being so nervous and awkward. "You can try it..." I mumbled, holding my hands together in front of me.
Aaron's lips touched the frosting and I watched him taste the frosting before he inclined his head and handed it back. I took the cake back and froze as he grabbed my wrist and tugged me closer, my body pressing into his bare chest.
A shiver ran through me as his lips touched my ear. "What are you being so shy for baby?"
Baby, oh god, I felt my eyes close a little, flustered. "I- I don't know," I whispered and ducked my head, gazing at the stone ground.
Aaron laughed a little in my ear, the sound lighting a fire inside me. "I think you look cute in your swimsuit,"
I blushed and nodded. "Thanks,"
Aaron pulled back and made eye contact with River, silent communication. They seemed to get along, if I had to guess, Aaron liked River the best out of my vampires.
I turned and happily began munching on my cupcake, sitting down by the edge of the water beside Fallon, who kicked his feet a little.
"Am I disappointing?" Fallon asked suddenly and glanced at me. "I'm not muscular like them, I'm scrawny," he looked at his own body, and I quickly pushed the rest of my cupcake in his mouth.
"Fallon, you're beautiful," I told him honestly, and he was. Big baby grey eyes, pale skin, curly hair, and delicate features. "And I wouldn't lie to you,"
Fallon swallowed and smiled. "Thank you, Raven,"
I nodded and leaned on his shoulder. "Of course," I closed my eyes and smiled happily. Fallon leaned his head on mine, now seeming at ease.
"Raven, are you going to swim?" Fin asked and sat next to me.
I lifted my head off Fallon's shoulder and shook my head, watching Nicholas and Lion have a water fight as Dune tried to escape the fight he started. Nicholas grabbed him by the back of the neck and he and Lion went under.
"I don't think I'd last long," I sighed and shrugged. "Looks like they're having.... fun at least," I said in amusement. I didn't dare get involved in that, I wouldn't last more than thirty seconds.
Fingers ran through my hair and I tilted my head up, looking at River in surprise. "Hmm?" I hummed and closed my eyes in delight as he played with my hair.
"It's getting late," he said and I frowned, slowly opening my eyes.
"So?" I questioned, not understanding.
River bent down and pressed his nose to mine. "Aaron is taking you home, we're going out to get a surprise for you,"
My eyes lit up and Fin groaned. "River! She wasn't supposed to know!"
River laughed and stood. "It would have hurt her feelings, now at least it will still be a surprise of sorts and she'll know why she's going home without us."
Aaron walked over and offered me a hand, and I took it. "And you won't be alone, because I'll be with you until they get back," Aaron promised.
I gazed at them suspiciously. "I guess it's okay, since it's for a surprise, and I won't be alone," I said slowly as Aaron pulled me up.
"Can I change into my clothes first?" I asked and paused as Aaron stoked a hand down my side gently.
"I like you in a swimsuit," he told me under his breath. I looked sideways, smiling a little.
"I'm still changing, I'll be right back," I turned and skipped back into the mudroom, my feet making tapping sounds as I found my clothes and hurriedly pulled them on in the bathroom.
My thoughts were all over the place, a surprise? And they had to leave somewhere to get it?! I stepped out of the bathroom, wet swimsuit in hand, eager to find out what they were going to give me.
I gasped as I was pushed against the wall, lips touching mine. I grabbed the large shoulders in shock, taking a moment to get over my shock. Cross.
"I love you," Cross told me, head pressed into my neck. I stroked his hair, worry flooding through me.
"I... I love you too," I told him, wincing as his cold lips brushed my neck. "Cross, what's wrong?"
He pulled back and I stared at his back as he turned away from me. "Nothing, enjoy your night with the dog."
"Clearly something-" I stopped and closed my eyes, inhaling. "I'll see you right when I wake up?"
"Of course princess," I watched him walk out, touching the place his icy lips touched with the back of my hand.
That was... odd...
Cross and I really needed to talk, I didn't want things to blow up in my face because I was too scared to talk about what he said in the alternate universe.
