You had always been the outcast, the stubborn child. Everyone who ever tried to be friends with you failed.
You were so stubborn that even the strongest Madrigal could be friends with you, you always refused to be friends with her.
Her sensitive nature never allowed her to give in and just deal with the fact that you truly didn't want to be friends.
She was seriously persistent.
She came up to you every chance she got, she often would bring you small gifts to try and persuade you, once again, you said no.
Back to the present day.. And you're still just as stubborn as you were before. Living on the outskirts of town, barely talking to anyone, and absolutely never trying to talk to anyone.
They all thought you were some heartless villain that never liked anyone.
In reality, the reason you didn't want to be friends with Luisa, was because you wanted more, you wanted to be held by her, cuddle her, and just be loved by her.
As a child you never understood what these feelings were, but you assumed it was hatred.
The day was cold and brooding, no one wanted to leave their homes, but alas they had to seeing how people needed groceries and only could get it from the stalls.
You happened to need to get some fruit, you had a massive craving for some kind of smoothie. A fruity one. (You're fruity.)
You put some nice clothes on, of course it had to be yoru (F/C) skirt. You never knew when Luisa would be in town, so every time you went you made sure you looked nice.
Grabbing your basket and some money, you made your way out of your home, and into town. The sky began to turn into a pale blue as you walked into town, the once bustling town, began to come back again.
Without any surprise, you say her. Luisa madrigal in all her glory, she stood towering over all the townsfolk. Her smile readiated, filling your stomach with butterflies.
You kept walking until you got to the stalls, looking for the right fruit to add to your smoothie.
You turned around to see a child about to fall over, the thought to laugh only crossed your mind after you fuckin superhero dived
The only thing between the kids head and the ground was your hand.
The bustling town suddenly turned quiet and cold as they stared in shock of what you have just done
The girl who always seemed to hate everyone, just saved a child from gaining a concussion.
The adrenaline was rushing through your veins faster than you could have ever imagined.
The child within an instant began to cry, your breathing slowed as the realization hit you.
Holy shit. You saved a child.
The mother came running over, a horrified look on her face as she looked at you.
She was speechless. She had stared at you in town, trying to figure out who you were. What was going on inside that head of yours.
"I... Thank you. Thank you so much" was the only thing the mother was able to spit out.
She kneels before her child, picking him up as you get yourself up. You dusted your (f/c) skirt.
You started to walk off before you noticed the crowd that you had created with the commotion.
Out of the tens of people, only one caught your eye. Her.
Her tall stature towered over the townsfolk.
Her deep brown eyes met your (e/c) eyes.
Her cheeks seemed to dust a pale pink.
As soon as your eyes met, they parted.
The crowd erupted in a fury of cheers.
Small whispers could be heard throughout.
"That can't be right.."
"Are you sure that (Y/N) did that?..."
"What happened to her?..."
The whispers grew louder and louder. You just shut your eyes and pushed your way through the crowd to finish shopping.
You just wanted to go home.
Finally after a few minutes the crowd dissipated and only faint conversations could be heard.
You finished shopping and before you left, someone stopped you.
Her.
A felt a hand placed on your shoulder as you turned to see who it was, praying it wasn't who you thought it was.
Of course it was her.
"H-Hey (Y/N)" the tall woman managed to stutter out.
"Hello Luisa." You spoke, your words echoed in a stern tone.
Her face turned a darker shade of red. It almost made you happy to see her as flustered as she was.
She cleared her throat, her voice booming.
"What you did today was.. really nice.. kinda uhm"
"Unlike me? Trust me I know it shocked me too. But it was just instinct I guess" You spoke, looking deep into her hazel eyes.
"Yeah.." she spoke softly, not wanting to ruin the moment.
"Say.. uhm not to be rude.." she looked down, she seemed incredibly nervous.
"Do you hate me?" She said bluntly.
Taken back, you stayed silent for a while
"O-Oh! I'm sorry that was a little forward wasn't it uh I mean--"
You cut her off. "No!.. I mean I don't hate you, I'm just.." You of course hated admitting it but you truly didn't hate her. You sighed. "I am and probably always will be incredibly stubborn. I hate giving in to people but.. I can't shake the feeling of wanting to be your friend." You finally said, after years and years of denial.
You both stood there, in silence. Her face started in a somewhat shocked position.
"So you wanna be friends with me..?" She said, rubbing the back of her neck. A light dusting of pink fell upon both of your cheeks.
Letting out a small giggle, you happily accepted her offer.
~A few weeks later~
Within the first days of you guys even being friends, you already wanted more.
You wanted to hug her, kiss her, snuggle and all of the above. She was just.. perfect.
"(Y/N)?" You heard someone say, breaking you from your daze.
Jumping, and turning to see your friend, her luxurious hair is put tightly into a bun.
"H-Heyy-" you said trying to lean on something, but you ended up falling flat on your butt.
Looking up from your spot on the ground, you noticed her trying to hold in a laugh. "Luisa don't laugh at me! It's not funny!"
And with that, burst out laughing
Swiftly getting up, you smacked her arm a little and she faked a painful look on her face.
"Sooo, I may or may not have convinced the town folk to let you have a day off.." You spoke, watching as Luisa's face stared blankly
"You did WHAT?" She asked, kinda shocked
"Don't get mad at me! You've been working yourself to the bone, you need at least a day!"
"B-But I had so much to do today!
Mr. Gonzalez asked me to help with the carts a-and-"
"Luisa. I sorted it all out. I've got people helping them out. You don't get to worry today because if you do ill happily go get you mom."
"But-"
"No buts, mi amor"
Both of you turned your head to see Julieta, a look of worry plaster against her face.
"... fine" Luisa finally said, with a look of defeat.
"Awww little baby has to take a break~" you said, hugging her from the side.
~a few hours later~
"NO! I'm buying you this, I don't care what you say, I'm getting it. It's my money and I want to buy it for you!"
Arguing with Luisa is probably the most interesting thing to listen To.
"I have my own money! I can buy it and plus it's like 40 bucks!" She said, holding your arm, as to not buy the giant unicorn plushie.
"It could be 6,000 and I'd still buy it for you. Let me gooooo" you dragged out your words, pleading for her to let go
After a minute of your best puppy dog eyes, you managed her to let go long enough for you to buy the absolutely massive plushie.
It was about the size of you, carrying it was more difficult than you anticipated.
Without warning, the plushie was taken from your hands and put into the hands of Luisa. Compared to her, it wasn't that big.
A goofy smile spread across her face.
"Cute.." You said under your breath, but apparently more loud than you wanted to.
Luisa's face began to turn red.
You just turned your head and pretended nothing happened, outta sight outta mind.
A few minutes of wandering later, you two finally ended up back at your house, Luisa of course holding all the stuff you bought her.
Once inside your room, she plopped all the sweets and plushies you bought her.
"Are you sure you don't want me to pay you back? This seems like a lot of stuff to just buy out of no-"
"Shush! You deserve it, you're literally the only one who wanted to be my friend after all these years. It's the least I could do."
A comfortable silence fell between the two of you.
"Say uhm.. do you wanna play a game?" You ask nervously.
She perked up, her childlike nature got you both excited
"Alright alright", you said trying to calm her down enough to even tell her what yall were gonna play.
"How about we play, 2 truths and I lie?" You suggested, Luisa nodded her head excitedly.
"Can I go first?" She said, you of course said she could
"Okay, uhmm..." Before she spoke you saw a small dusting of pink on her cheeks.
"Isabele one time stole all of the forks, Camlio likes Taylor swift and.. uhm I've had the same crush for years"
"Hm... I remember Camilo singing shake it off... so I'm gonna go with ... 3?"
"Nope! Isa stole the spoons!" Luisa giggled at the thought, "Mamá was really not happy to find all of them in her room!"
A laugh fell over the two as they talked about the memory.
"Say... who have you had a crush on for years? You can't just say that and expect me not to ask!" You joked, looking at her with a determined look
"I.. uh." She said, looking around the room. She looked everywhere but your eyes.
"How about this, you don't have to tell me but, can you at least give me some hints?"
She pondered the question for a few moments before finally agreeing.
"Okay... so uhm they have a strange.. uhm reputation? And they... are my friend.." she spoke softly
"Hmm... is it... Andrew?" You guessed, secretly hoping it was you.
"Andrew??! He's like the most annoying dude in town!" She said cracking up
"well i don't know you said they had a weird reputation!" You yelled back
"Okay okay. Final hint.. It's a.. girl?" She looked down at her legs, praying to whatever holy spirit she believed in
"... is it me?" You questioned, already knowing the answer
"U-Uh I mean If you don't like me back that's fine I get it I'm weird, and maybe no girl should be as strong as me-" she kept rambling
"Luisa.." You spoke softly, but she kept mumbling to herself, you said her name louder, no response.
Finally you got fed up, you softly, yet forcefully, grabbed her cheeks and planted your lips against hers.
A moment or two passed before Luisa began to melt into the kiss.
The passionate moment only stopped when you two parted for air.
"I... Was rambling, wasn't I?" Luisa questioned, her hands finding their way onto your hips
"Yes. Yes you were." You said, placing one last kiss on her soft lips.
