Can't you see I'm terrified of the
Ticking
The unending movement of time.
All that is the unknown.
That Ticking it pulls me away from a painful past.
But who's to say it doesn't pull me towards a painful future.
One moment it's comforting,
And the next that tick, tick, tick,
Begins to sound like a death march
The tones leading me to my end,
The end.
Please stop.
Just for a moment.
Even if I can't go back.
