Are you ever too scared to grow up?
You just wish you could fly away to Neverland and never come back.
Maybe everyone has their own Neverland.
Hiding in the back of your mind,
Those memories you hold on to.
The things you can fall back on and realize,
This is what it means to be young,
To be a kid,
To be carefree.
But its terrifying.
The realization that you can never go back,
The clock will just keep ticking,
Time will never stop.
Such a horrifying and comforting thought,
Life's true oxymoron that never ends.
Life goes on, and things get better.
But you'll never be able to go back,
To relive those precious memories,
To appreciate their true significance.
