3RD PERSON'S POV
JUNE 19th 2003
Walking on an empty street, harumi grab a water battle inside her bag as she chugged it down and panting after almost drinking the whole water bottle.
Harumi stopped from walking for a while and started catching her breathe, knowing that she refused to take a bus on her way to school, avoiding to use the money she save since it's for the the three of them who is living in the same roof.
" Why's this is so tiring? I should get used to it since i walk to school every fucking morning!" She yelled in annoyance, as she continue on walking with her eyebrows furrowing.
But then, when she's almost near to the school, something caught her attention. She look around her surroundings and noticed that there's no students like her, walking to school.
She stopped from walking for awhile and soon immediately sprint towards the gate that is still closed with a guard standing straight in the middle.
Harumi swallow a huge lump in his throat as she slowly approach the guard who immediately notice her presence.
She just didn't want it to be what she thought it would be.
" What are you doing here, little girl?" The guard questioned as he look at harumi nervous face with such confusion.
" It's almost time to class, why there's no students yet and the gate is still closed?" The young girl asked in nervous, in which a loud laugh left the guard's mouth, making harumi tilted her head slightly to the side in confusion.
" Did you attend school yesterday?" The guard ask with a smile.
Nodding her head in response. " Yes".
" Then you are not listening to your teacher at all." The guard stated.
" There's no school for today, little girl. Better just go home and sleep." The guard added.
After hearing what the guard said, harumi's world broke into pieces as she stared at the old man in shocked.
"WHAT?!!" She shouted on the top of her lungs, not believing that she just wasted her time and energy just to go to school.
" I wasn't really listening yesterday?! Buy i'm sure i did!" Harumi though, asking herself still in the state of shock.
" Gooo home, little girl, next time you should listen to your teacher and stop talking to your classmates" The guard lazily spoke, as he cross his arms while looking at the young girl who's still staring at him with widened eyes and mouth Hung open.
Harumi shook her head to clear her thoughts and soon furrowed her eyebrows in irritation." Shut the fuck up! I will go home if i want to, you ugly old man!" She shouted in anger, not even thinking twice to yell at the old man who is staring at her in shock and speechless.
Harumi aggressively walk away from him and decided to go at the shrine, to stay there until afternoon.
" I can't believe this!!" She thought in irritation.
A few minutes of walking, harumi's anger lessen up as she finally arrived at the shrine and immediately went to search something to sit on.
But after awhile of searching, harumi was stopped by a voice of a young boy behind her.
She stopped from walking and slowly turned around, only to see the blond haired boy who give her dorayki before.
" Haru chan?" Mikey called out the young girl's named in a bit shock, not expecting her to be at the shrine wearing a her school uniform.
" Manjiro kun!" Harumi cheerfully said, with a smile finally formed on her lips as she immediately approached mikey who is with some guys surrounded him.
" Long time no see, What are you doing here all alone?" Mikey smiled asking so softly.
" Wait! Is she the girl you have been talking about, mikey?" The young boy with slanted eyes and bleached hair parted to the right side, asked.
Mikey nodded his head in response.
" I haven't see you at the dessert shop for a very long time, haru chan. Did you stop buying some dorayaki?" Mikey questioned curiously.
Harumi flinched a bit from his questions, as she didn't know what to even answer, since the truth because she stopped coming to the dessert shop was to avoid seeing mikey, inorder for izana not to hate her anymore.
"I... I was so busy in my studies and work!" She answered, with a nervous smile showed on her face.
Mikey easily believe harumi's lies and just nodded his head in understanding.
" Hey, haru chan!" A voice of a young boy spoke, earning harumi's attention as she turned to the side to see the black haired boy who is wearing horizontally striped T-shirt.
Harumi hummed questioning. "you should join our gang." The black haired boy said with a smile.
Everyone stared at him in shocked but soon formed a smile on their faces, except for harumi who is having having a deep thoughts.
" That's sounds great! But... But izana will get mad at me again like before or even worse! As i could see nowadays, izana had been slowly changing. He is much more colder than before and maybe if he found out that i'm in a gang with the person he despise the most, he might totally ignore me!" Harumi thought as sweat slowly running down her temple.
" What do you think?" Mikey suddenly spoke, asking harumi with a soft and calm smile on his face.
The young girl stared at her as she swallow a huge lump in her throat.
"I..-"
" It's not good to have a girl in the gang, but i agree!" A tall young boy suddenly spoke with a huge smile on his face, interrupting Harumi from speaking.
The young girl let out an audible breath and smile at everyone so calmly.
" I'm so sorry, but I can't join a gang, because i have a lot of things to do." Harumi softly spoke, as everyone stared at her for few seconds.
" That's fine. But you are always welcome to join the gang! Okay?!" Mikey cheerfully asked, in which harumi nodded her head and smiled with her eyes closed.
