Day 3: Continued
On-Jo had finally calmed down, she was devastated, but at the least she had her thoughts collected.
Ha-Ri stood up and talked with Mijin. They were to check the surroundings and find a way to escape.
They had to as soon as possible.
They walked away and left the younger ones alone.
Cheongsan finally had the chance and sat by On-Jo. He hugged her tightly and talked with her quietly.
Eun Kyung rested her head on Wujin's shoulder. She was exhausted. She would eat anything right as well, she was starving.
But that's what made her sick, once again. She stood up urgently and held onto the pole. She bent down and puked over and over again.
Wujin ran to her side and held her hair back. He softly pat her back and soothed it.
"What's wrong?" He asked
"I...I don't know. My stomach just hurts. It's probably because I haven't eaten in a whole day." She explained
"I'll get you some water."
He took off and searched her bag. There he found a water bottle and handed it to her.
"Thank you." She said softly
She took small sips and sighed. Her head was killing her.
"Let everyone take sips as well." She told him
"Of course." He smiled and handed the water bottle to the group.
Wujin stood next to his girlfriend and comforted her.
"Don't worry. We'll get you treated as soon as we're rescued. I'll be there." He said
"I hope we get there soon..."
"We will." He smiled
She might be weak right now, but his smile gave her enough strength to keep her going.
"Here let's sit." He said
He held her waist and sat her back at the wall.
She smiles and sits. As soon as she was properly sitting he sat beside her. He played with her fingers and hair.
She smiled softly at his action. She rose her hand to his arms and squeezed it playfully.
"Wow, after all this your muscles are still hard."
He looks weak but he really wasn't. He was really strong, and she always admired how strong he was. He'd always pick her up without even trying.
"Hahaha." He laughed sarcastically, "You're so funny."
"I always am." She chuckled
"Yea, sure. You can think that."
"I don't have to think. I already know."
"I bet I'm going to be the favorite parent. Cause I'm so funny." He laughed
"No, I will. Because I have the looks." She blinked her eye lashes
"You wish. I have the looks."
"Dude, you know I got the looks. That's why we-"
Wujin slammed his lips onto hers. Eun Kyung couldn't move from shock but she soon melted into the kiss.
It was the only solution to keep her quiet. His cheeks were bright red, he was flustered.
"Oh." Eun Kyung smirked, "Are you being all shy? Everyone knows anyway."
"This damn apocalypse gave you too much confidence."
"Yes and I love it."
"I love it too."
"Please get a room!" Mijin whined as she got back
"Let them be, young love only lasts for a little bit." Hyo Ryung stated
"Hey! We're getting married, we'll love each other forever." Wujin said
"You say that now. Just wait until you fight." Mijin rolled her eyes
"Anyways." Ha-Ri interrupted
The group turned their direction to the senior.
"There's a door on the first floor that leads to the mountains." She announced
"Noona, but it's filled with zombies there." Dae-Su said
That was a good point. Too many would die within seconds.
Silence fills the air once again. Eun Kyung went back to thinking.
"Wujin, do you have a plan?" Eun Kyung asked
"Not really. Not unless we want to sacrifice someone." He said
Eun Kyung sighed.
"Maybe we could distract them? Did you see anything that would be loud enough to distract the zombies?"
The two had their own conversation while the others talked with Cheongsan about his plan.
"I didn't see anything but bricks." He replied
"Maybe that would make noise?"
She didn't really know herself.
"It wouldn't do much. There's no way we could escape this without sacrificing."
"Shit. Are we really going to die?" She mumbled to herself
"Don't say that. Let's be positive. We've all gone through a lot. Let's continue to fight through it."
Eun Kyung nodded and hugged him. Soon the two paid attention to the group.
"Let's all agree to not sacrifice ourselves?" Hyo Ryung questioned
"Agreed." The group said in sync
"We will all survive together." Hyo Ryung smiled
The group smiled back and sighed. Their plan did not succeed as well. Cheongsan was going to sacrifice himself, again.
"Guys...can you hear that?" Nam Ra asked
They all faced the girl with questioning looks.
"What do you hear?" Suhyeok asked
Nam Ra's face looked concerned and worried. What ever information she got was not good.
"They're going to bomb us." She said
"They're going to what?" Eun Kyung questioned
The group got on their feet urgently.
"Who are they going to bomb? Us?" Wujin asked
"Are you sure?" Suhyeok asked the girl
Nam Ra focused once more.
"Hyosan Intersection, Hyosan Future College...and our school. They're going to bomb us too." Nam Ra finished
She was panicking in the inside. They had no where to hide it take cover.
"What are they thinking? Bombing us?!" Eun Kyung panicked
"Are those fucking soldiers really going to shoot missiles at us?!" Wujin yelled
"Do you know when it's going to happen?" Dae-Su asked
"I don't know, but they're telling us to evacuate right now." Nam Ra answered
"We don't even have enough time or plan. Where are we suppose to go?" Eun Kyung asked
"LEE CHEONG SAN!"
They turned around to see Gwi Nam right in front of them.
"Why can't he just fucking die already?" Eun Kyung asked
"Ha! I won't die so easily, princess. I'm only here for one person only, Lee Cheongsan." Gwi Nam said
"Gwi Nam leave him alone already. Aren't you trying so hard?" Eun Kyung asked
"Eun Kyung, just stay behind me." Cheongsan told her
He lightly pushed the girl behind him and faced Gwi Nam.
"Cheongsan, here, use my baseball bat." She handed him the bat which he held tightly.
"Thank you, Eun Kyung."
"No problem." She smiled
"Cheongsan!" Gwi Nam yelled
He ran after the boy trying to grab him but the students all move away. This was between Cheongsan and Gwi Nam only.
Gwi Nam punched Cheongsan right in the face causing him to fall back. Quickly he gets up and punches Gwi Nam but it wouldn't go well because he was soon pushed of the railings.
Eun Kyung rushes to the side and sees the boy struggling to hold on to the pole. Suhyeok took Cheongsan's place and tried his best to face him off while Eun Kyung tried to bring Cheongsan back up.
"Hold my hand!" She screamed
Cheongsan grunted but did as told. Wujin helped both the girl and boy.
Suhyeok continued to dodge Gwi Nam's attacks. But sadly he was pushed away. Cheongsan once again tried to fight the boy, but he could see his attacks clear as day. He grabbed his arm and twisted it.
Gwi Nam made eye contact with On-Jo and then Eun Kyung. He smirked and dug his teeth into Cheongsan's flesh.
"No!"
All they could hear were his crying screams.
"Cheongsan!" On-Jo cried
"You fucking bitch!" Eun Kyung yelled
Gwi Nam pushed Cheongsan away and grabbed Eun Kyung by the wrist.
"Our deal is now sealed." He whispered into her ear
"Fuck you and your deal."
She pulled back from his hold and kicked his stomach, but it did nothing.
"Eun Kyung! Stay away from him!" Wujin yelled
"Maybe you'll stop if I hurt your boyfriend?"
"Fuck off. You murderer."
She went for his neck and held him tight.
"All you ever did was be a piece of shit."
"Yes, but at the end you defended a murderer as well. Nayeon told me, at the end she wanted to help you. But I ended her."
"What? What did you say?"
Anger started to build up within Eun Kyung.
"I ended her. She tried to head to the rooftop to give you food. Seemed she had a change of heart."
"YOU ASSHOLE! You fucking asshole!"
She tightened her grip around his neck and tried to twist it but he easily removed her and picked her up by the neck.
"Leave her alone!" Wujin yelled
He ran towards the boy and kicked his knee inward, his bone was sticking out from the back. The boy fell to his knee, leaving Eun Kyung to unravel herself from his grip.
Wujin immediately pulled her away from the boy. Cheongsan took the chance to walk up to the boy but before he could do anything both Nam Ra and Gwi Nam started to cringe, it must have been some type of high pitch noise.
Cheongsan noticed and picked up Gwi Nam like nothing and threw him of the scaffolding.
Eun Kyung finally fell to her knees, crying. Her best friend had lived after leaving them, but Gwi Nam killed her. She changed, but it was an eye for an eye.
"God, fuck you!" She yelled
She didn't care anymore. Nayeon had a change of heart at the end. She must have wanted to apologize.
"What a pity death." She muttered
It's the death she deserved.
"Cheongsan..." On-Jo whispered
Eun Kyung turned her head the girl, she was staring at Cheongsan.
"Suhyeok, go to the first floor." Cheongsan told him
He pushed On-Jo away from him to Dae-Su.
"Okay..." He responded sadly
"Cheongsan...it's not what you think...It's okay." On-Jo said
She walked forward but Cheongsan continued to walk backwards.
"I said it's okay." She cried, "Don't do that...You'll be fine." Her voice cracked
"On-Jo. No one will die here today." Cheongsan replied
"Don't say anything. Let's talk tomorrow, okay?" On-Jo asked
Everyone in the back began to cry, they lost a friend, again.
How many more people were going to die? It seemed that, that was the only thing they were good at, losing people.
Cheongsan ripped off his name tag and gave it to On-Jo. He was confessing, once again.
"Hold onto it." He told her
He choked on his words as tears came down his cheeks.
"And I'll hold onto this."
He held onto On-Jo's name tag. He stared into her eyes deeply in love. He leaned in and kissed On-Jo.
This caused Eun Kyung to burst out in tears. They finally came into terms with their feelings.
He released from the kiss and walked to the window, but before he could climb in he ran into On-Jo's arms, hugging her tightly.
They burst into tears while holding each other. As soon as he realized his situation he pushed On-Jo away to Suhyeok.
"I'll get going. Leave as soon as the zombies are out of sight."
"Alright."
Cheongsan took off and ran inside the building. The students cried, their friend was bond to die anyway.
They stood in shock with their situation, their friend was dying.
Suhyeok waited for the right moment to leave, he was now the leader of the group.
"TODAY I'M THE HAPPIEST MAN IN THIS SCHOOL!!"
The kids lightly chuckled at their friend's words.
"Of course he'd say that." Eun Kyung laughed quietly
That was the end, they were no longer going to see their best friend anymore. He had sacrificed himself for the others.
Tears still ran down their faces, you could hear the students sob. If it weren't for Cheongsan yelling, the zombies would have already found them.
Cheong San, you did great. Thank you for everything, I'm glad you were able to achieve your wish. I know that On-Jo definitely misses you right now.
