Elina POV
I held Teddy's hand caressed his face softly, hoping it distracted him from the pain.
"I think he should lie down."
Harry suggested. I made Teddy lie down on the leather seat with his head on my lap.
Then they continued with their work and Teddy kept on hissing.
"C-can you guys s-stop with that serious face!?"
Teddy managed to speak. I looked at him confused.
"You guys know th-this isn't serious. You are scaring Elina.."
I frowned. This isn't serious? He is fucking shot!
"Teddy! This is serious!"
He pouted. I shook my head. This man's really brave.
Then soon we reached our huge house.
Jack took away Teddy to someplace else for treating his injuries.
"Will h-he be alright?"
My eyes were glossy now.
After realising how the boys were hurt physically after my abducting, i couldn't help but blame myself.
"He will be alright, princess."
Harry led me inside the mansion.
"Get changed, and rest. let me know if you need my help."
He spoke in his usual soft voice.
I nodded and went inside my room. I quickly stripped looking at my body.
Dirt and small bruises. Thats all i could see.
My eyes became teary once again, and i was already a sobbing mess. My cries echoed inside the bathroom as i started taking a bath.
I couldn't even scrub the dirt off myself because of the whip marks on my back and wrist.
After bath i dried myself and slipped on my underwear, wrapping a towel around my body.
I am planning to sleep naked today. I want to heal as soon as possible.
But when i stepped out of the bathroom i was met with Edward's concerned face.
"Elina?.."
He cussed and immediately walked towards me, hugging me tightly.
"A-ah.."
"What's wrong sweet?"
He looked at me and pulled as soon as he heard me hiss.
"The whip.."
I stopped speaking.
"Whip? He whipped you?"
I sealed my lips. I just shut up.
"Elina? Is that true?"
I nodded slowly. I could see him turning red in anger but he controlled himself.
"Can I put some medicine hmm?"
He caressed my face.
I nodded walking towards the bed and sat on it facing the mirror. Edward adjusted himself behind me.
I looked at him through the mirror, his facial features showed worry.
Then i just pulled the towel off me throwing it somewhere. Edward was startled but grabbed the first aid box, aiding the whips on my back.
"Does it hurt ?"
"Mm it does.."
He nodded and continued treating the bruises.
After he was done, he kissed my bare shoulder.
"I'll make sure no one hurts you.. I'm sorry Elina.."
He continued kissing and murmuring against my skin.
I closed my eyes enjoying his touch.
"He kissed me forcefully.."
I whispered. I had to tell Edward about this.
"Oh..."
He took a pause which concerned me.
"I didn't like that.. i feel disgusted actually..I'm sorry Edward..my hands were tied together, it was hard to move..."
"No Elina, don't be sorry.. its not your fault. Look here."
I turned around adjusting my position on the bed. Edward leaned forward kissing me as gently as he could.
I kissed him back. I missed his touch.
"Edward.."
We both were staring at each other for a few moments, his hands which rested on my cheek slid downwards from neck to my collarbone. He gave a quick squeeze to my breasts.
"You need to rest.."
I slowly nod.
"I know.."
I lay down carefully. Edward stood up to go out but i quickly gripped his wrist.
"Stay.. please..I'm scared.."
I squeaked. He nodded and got in the bed next to me.
I was relieved. Edward is right here, nothing will go wrong.
I hugged him and moved closer.
He moved his fingers through my hairs. It was soothing.
"Will Teddy be alright?"
"Yes. He will be healthy soon."
I stayed quiet.
"S-sorry..b-because of me Teddy was- i-its my faul-"
"Don't. It's not your fault Elina. Sinister is responsible for this. Don't you ever blame yourself."
He silenced me with his words. I squeezed my eyes shut tightly, the tears again falling down my cheeks.
"E-edward.. i don't like this i-i'm scared! Please! I don't k-know! I-i!"
He pulled away looking at my troubled face.
"Hey hey.. no.. look everything is okay now hmm?"
He patted my head calming my panicked state.
I was insecure. Afraid. Traumatised.
Sinister is a dangerous man. He could do anything.
He has no mercy. If he can whip me with no remorse he could do much more worse to the boys!
"You need a rest. Just know this isn't your fault. It just happened. But do you know? All of us are much more happy to have you back! So, calm down okay?"
I nodded tiredly.
"Sleep now sweet."
I obeyed him, and sleep got to me immediately.
I fell into a deep slumber. I don't think I'll wake up for next 10 hours.
Edward POV
I looked at the red marks on her back, feeling extremely horrible and useless.
She might have been so frightened in that dark basement. No one deserves this.
I applied some medicine on her back and then she lied on the side, facing me.
She asked me if teddy would be alright.
Yes, ofcourse he is going to be alright. I won't let him die so easily. No way.
It truly scared me, broke my heart when she panicked, when she said she no longer felt safe.
Reminded me of my sister's terrified state that night.
When i lost elina, i realised how i care so damn much about her, how i am so attached to this woman. I am glad we didn't elongate this matter and took actions.
It's not just elina who received the death threats, Jen and Harry did too, so did me and boss.
Surprisingly jack never did, which is good.
I didn't took it seriously, thinking sinister wants to spice up things as usual but no. He actually took my girl away. Fucking bastard.
He broke one of the most important rule between.
And he will pay for this. I will make him pay.
Kill him for once and all, then rescue all the people he captured.
I dont want others to meet with the same fate my sister did.
I caressed Elina's face, planted a few kisses on her cheek and forehead.
She was clutching my tshirt tightly in her hands. Her expression was troubled.
Even in her sleep she looks so disturbed.
"I failed to protect you.."
I whispered.
"I won't repeat the same mistake, give me another chance."
And this was the moment i knew, i had to protect this girl. I had to. Because i don't think i can spend any moment without her.
