“So what are the plans if he is cheating on you?” Leah glanced over at Angela, the girl looked downright nervous and Aurora was staring out the window in awe as she watched the trees fly by, “I mean, do we beat them up? Berate them, or ignore them?” She was driving so she only took short glances and attempted a smile.
“We,” She paused, took a deep breath and sat up straight, “we ignore, have fun with some other people.” She shrugged, in honesty she hadn’t thought that far, only hoping that Ben really wasn’t cheating on her with someone she considered a friend no matter how different they were.
“But Lauren? Really?” Aurora frowned, she didn’t think Ben would ever cheat, but if he did, why Lauren? She just didn’t really seem his type if he’s going out with Angela.
“Guess he likes the dumb but pretty girls.” Angela shrugged, sinking in her seat. She had wore one of Leah’s old swimsuits that she couldn’t fit anymore and it didn’t leave anything to imagine, it was comfortable while she was just surrounded by the girls but she’s going to be out with all these other girls and boys and she couldn’t help but feel a little shy, since she didn't really have the curves to fit the suit and she was stuck tying it up with rubber bands.
“I assure you she probably isn’t that pretty.” Leah signed, she honestly thought that someone’s boyfriend would try to go for Aurora but the girl was good at deflecting admirers and probably did it without even trying.
“Oh, you’ll be surprised, before Cullen's,” she glanced at Aurora, “and Aurora arrived, she was the prettiest girl in Forks, “now she’s just barely above average in the boys' words.” She frowned, and Leah couldn’t help but laugh.
“Barely above average?” She could see that they all lived in a small town, and beauty really is a small thing that can easily be overcomed with an outside force like the Cullens and Aurora but, wow, she didn’t think they had such a small view on it.
“Yeah, Aurora’s actually above the Cullen’s,” Angela smiled, “They like how she isn’t quite as deadly pale as the other’s and the blue eyes and ginger hair is a huge difference within our school.” They don’t have a single ginger in their school, and Aurora was the first.
“I bet, she’s quite popular here on the reservation also.” Leah chuckled, in the backseat Aurora sat quietly with a small blush, she wasn’t used to so many compliments and couldn’t handle the teasing the girls upfront was doing.
“Though get ready everyone, cause we’re arriving.” Leah replaced her smile, with a serious face, pulling up onto the sand alongside a van with a couple of other’s chilling in the back.
“I’m ready!” Aurora squeaked, patting around her head to make sure the dressing on it stayed nice and tight. She wasn’t allowed to swim, because she had to keep up the injured act, but she was free to relax on the beach and couldn’t wait to play in the sand.
“Angela?” Giving the girl a side eye, she waited to get out the truck unlike Aurora who almost kicked the door down in favor of waiting outside for them.
“Yeah,” She put her hands together in a silent prayer, “yeah, I’m ready.” She’d been dating Ben for almost four years and this moment would determine whether there were more years to come, or today was the last day.
“Don’t you worry, if your fears are real, I’m sure you’ll find someone better that’s worth your time.” Leah gave her a soft pat on the back, and opened her side of the door on the truck, opening her arms a little as Aurora jumped into filled with giggles of excitement at being on the beach for the first time.
“Your right,” Angela joined them, “I can find someone better.” She pursed her lips, a small grin spreading across her face as she boosted her confidence. She was young, smart, and very fun to be around so there should be no reason why no one would want to date her if she broke up with Ben.
“Now, let's get set up, before Aurora hurts herself.” Leah laughed, at the hyper girl, who only shrugged and skipped ahead with her barefeet digging into the sand.
She had a few things in her hands and in a backpack, It was mostly food and drinks that Charlie had prepared Specifically for for her, though only Leah and Angela knew that since he explained to them that he put her ‘medication’ in it, though in the backpack, there was things like suntan lotion, blankets, and her sketchbook. Plus true to their words, their friends were chilling near the water, splashing anybody and everybody that got a little too close to the edge.
“Is that him? Lean and short?” Leah pointed, Ben didn’t seem to be talking to anybody yet, and that made Angela smile, though he was smiling and snapping pictures of both Jessica and Lauren.
“Pictures?” Agnela frowned, “it’s just pictures, so nothing wrong with that.” She was a photographer herself, but she never took pictures of other guys with her personal phone.
“He’s taking pictures of girls he ‘doesn’t’ like on his personal phone.” Leah snorted, “do you take photos of guys you don’t like on your personal phone?” She had the nerve to roll her eyes, but she knew the girl was just making up excuses at this point.
“No, but they could’ve asked him to take pictures.” She signed, feeling a little down at being slyly called stupid but that didn’t stop her from wanting to protect her feelings.
“How about this, my friends are nearby and I’ll just walk over and see if I can hear what they're talking about.” She smiled, though she could hear rhythm perfectly fine over from where she was, but Angela didn’t know that.
“Please?” She signed, “just if it’s something I won’t like just sugarcoat it for me.” With a grimace, her power walked over towards Aurora’s little set up near the woods, she had made sure she wasn’t in the sun and it was a great deal away from the noise allowing her to read in peace.
“Hey, Angela.” She was oblivious to the drama that was unfolding in front of her, even though the sneaking around part was her idea, “I got cookies, my Auntie Sue baked!” She popped out an oatmeal cookie, from a pink container that Angela couldn’t help but munch on with vigor as her eyes followed Leah that greeted a bunch of guys while sneaking glances at her ‘friends.’
“Leah’s eavesdropping?” Aurora grinned, “like a superspy!” She smiled at her own joke, but she didn’t hesitate to wrap an arm around Angela’s shoulder in an act of confidence, “if it doesn’t end up working out with Ben, I’m sure Leah will introduce you to one of her friends.” She smiled, though a sense of dread filled the back of her mind. She never had met Leah’s friends because the girl didn’t like to be near her ex, but she did know Seth would make great company.
“Yeah?” Angela blushed, all of Leah’s male friends seemed like they’ll be into the pretty and thin girls, they didn’t look like they’ll want anything to do with her, and she felt a little down at the thought of not really fitting in with her overly gooding friends, for crying out loud, even Bella had bagged a god and it took two years just for Ben to notice that she liked him enough to date.
“Totally!” Aurora grinned, “there's Jackie!” She jabbed at the ripped guy that Angela had admittedly drooled over when she first saw him with her.
“I never asked, but are you two dating?” She gave a side smile at the thought, “there have been a few guys that have asked you out, but you turned them down?” She didn’t understand how someone so pretty would reject so many guys.
“No, silly!” Aurora laughed, “he’s my best guy friend!” She blushed, “I have someone in mind though.” She thought back to their hot principal, she couldn’t help but drop by his office every afternoon to talk about random things and show him her new artwork that he seems really interested in.
“Leo?” Agnela gagged, “please tell me it’s just because he’s cute.” She even grimaced at that, he wasn’t her type and if he was a little nicer to her, she might’ve considered it, but he was nothing but a prude.
“No!” with a pout, Aurora shook her head, “he’s cute, but I don’t think he’s interested in me like that.” She frowned, “plus Papa hates him.” She signed, she didn’t think about him but now that Angela said something, she wanted to talk to Leo about what happened, because she honestly didn’t think the boy meant to push her down the stairs.
“Good, he isn’t good enough for you anyways.” Angela rolled her eyes, “I don’t understand how you can be around a jerk like him everyday, he’s rude and selfish.” She took another cookie from the box and watched as Leah stormed her way over to them, with a frightening look on her face.
“Lele’s coming back.” Aurora dropped her book onto her lap, she couldn’t help but rock back and forth, the anxiety of the upcoming news, worrying her.
“Doesn’t look like she has good news either.” With a sign, Angela prepared for the worst to come.

“So I think we’ve found Esme.” Jasper frowned, “she’s on the other side of the treaty.” His leg jumped in anxiousness, everyone except for Edward and Carlisle was in the kitchen area standing around the empty island.
“What is she doing over there?” Alice frowned, “but she’s alive.” She didn’t know what to think, Esme being over the treaty can really cause some problems and she didn’t know what to think about what could happen considering she can’t even see the vampire’s future anymore.
“She looked sick.” Emmett also shrugged, “but not in a Carlisle way.” If he could cry, he’ll be labeled a baby, but at the moment he could only add a little shine to his eyes from the venom that’ll never fall.
“How sick exactly?” Rosalie frowned, “Carlisle looks ready to die, and it’s impossible to look worse than death itself.” She groaned, everything was going wrong, and she was starting to hate Forks. It was spring break and she was promised a trip to Greece with her mate.
“Like, she's a starving type of sick, deadly pale like Carlisle, red eyes from the blood she’s been drinking, and the harsh ragged breathing she’s doing but doesn’t need.” with a shutter, Emmett unmanly clung onto Rosalie.
“So she has been drinking from humans.” Alice signed, Carlisle wasn’t in the kitchen with them, choosing to instead stay in the bed that Edward put in for Bella, but she was positive the man could still hear them.
“What to do? We can’t just walk up to the wolves and explain that they need to grab their mother before she sucks more human’s dry.” Rosalie comforted Emmett, feeling helpless as she noticed that the usually loud male was being quiet and a little shaky, “they’ll kill us, they’ll kill her when they find her because she broke the treaty!” She jumped, a wave of fear crossing over her, as she thought about Carlisle that’ll probably crumble to nothing if something was to happen to Esme.
“We need to get her, quickly then.” Jasper stood up, “before they notice she’s on their land.” He looked determined, “we can fight a little bit if needed, but we need to get our mother.” It’ll be hard because they didn’t have Edward who could read their minds, but maybe they could pull it off without Edward for once.
“I’ll stay behind with Carlisle, he doesn’t look too good, and I don’t want anything to happen to him while we’re away.” Rosalie signed, she needed to get a couple of animals and drain their blood so that Calrirlse could have it, but she was worried that it might not help anymore because he didn’t look like he was getting any better.
“Good choice, we’ll be back with Esme,” Jasper smiled, “pulling Emmett away from Rosalie with a wave of calmness being directed to him, “hopefully in one piece.” He left first, Alice following behind him, before Emmett gave Rosalie one last hug and left, Rosalie grabbing a few empty bottles, to fill with animal blood.
