Chapter 22: The Gemstone
"It has begun."
Meanwhile, back in the safety of the Diamond Kingdom, a few people shelters inside one of the many similarly looking houses disguising as one of the residents.
"What are you looking at?" One of the refugees asked a young man
"I'm looking at the war that was happening." The young man replied
"You're holding a piece of blank papers. How are you seeing thing?"
"Yushiro." A (not so) young adult intervene
"This is my magic. I can turn any paper into anything I want. For instance, I had one tied onto one of the crows and now I can see it flying over everything." The young man calmly explains
"With a piece of paper?"
"I can also make any animals using these papers."
The young man, Kiriya Ubuyashiki took over his father's position as the ruler of the Kingdom. Beside him were stacks upon stacks of papers all of which he would used to relay information.
"This is not good. They can't defeat them." Kiriya has a worried look on his face
"Of course! Demons can't die like you humans do." Douma blurted out loud
"Crap. This is not gonna end well then." Yushiro cursed
"Wait, there's a bright light. Is it, daytime?" Kiriya looked surprised
"Daytime?" All of them were confused
"The demons, they're burning. Is this really the sun doing this?"
Wanting to find the source, Kiriya orders the crow to fly just above the soldiers looking for the source. Not long after, he sees the person that casted the magic. But he doesn't look calm anymore.
"Oh no. No no nononononono." He panicked
"What, what's with the oh no's?"
"The Mother's gemstone! Why is it here?!"
"A gemstone? What's so important about it?" Saisho asked the troubled man
"That gemstone is what grants every person to have magic. If destroyed, we will all lose our magic. What's worse is it can grant a person that touches it any magic that they want." Kiriya quickly explains
"If that man gets a hold of it, then we will all be in trouble then." Yushiro stood up. "Come on Saisho!"
"Yeah! Lets go and protect the gemstone!" Saisho yelled
"Be careful. You're both still a demon. Make sure you don't get yourself killed." Kiriya reminded them
"Please be safe, Yushiro, Saisho." Tamayo looked at both of them
"We will not disappoint you!"

"Is that, sunlight?"
Meanwhile, in the safety of his own fortress, a man is sitting on his chair looking through a door. The door leads to the outside world it was situated right above the battlefield. The man watches as a sudden bright light came through. The door was burned but not before burning the man himself who is literally in front of the door.
"M-master, are you alright?" Nakime feared him being angered by this
"Nakime. Look for the one who casted that magic." He ordered
"R-right away."
A strum of the strings was heard and yet another door appeared. This time, a bit farther than where it was before. He looked down at the battlefield searching for the source. Then, he sees a certain redhead holding a staff in his hand.
"Found it." He simply mutter
"Orders master?" The other five occupants inside the room asked
"Get the staff from him. Kill anyone who tries to stop you. Got it?"
"Hai!" They all shouted in unison
"Time to show what you're truly worth. Nakime."
The woman nods and she strums her strings once more. Then a door appeared underneath each of the five individuals and opened. They fell through with not a sound. All of the doors closed and disappeared except for one left remained opened. Muzan looks around the room to see a single person standing there in the shadows.
"That includes you." He simply said
"Why should I follow your orders again?" The figure asked
"I will kill you right here then. Don't think you're that great boy. You may be his descendants but he's stronger than you. And now he's dead."
"Then I will surpass him. Not because I wanted too. Because I want to show him what it means to be a true assassins." The figure grinned
"Good. Now go."
"Alright alright. Here I go."
The figure walk over to where the door was and without even looking down, he jumped and the door closed.

"Keep on slaying them!"
At the battlefield, things were still bright out as if the sun had rose in the middle of the night. The enemies, demons has a weakness towards the sun and it resulted them to be severely burned. As they're unable to regenerate themselves, they were quickly being slain one by one and numbers were significantly being wiped out.
"Good work your majesty!" A man with a boar head yelled
"Just hold on a little longer now kid!" Giyuu yelled at him
"I can't! My stamina is slowly running out! I can't hold it much longer!" The redhead yelled
As he had said that, the massive glowing circle started to flicker like a dying candle. He tries to hold the magic a little while longer until the threat is dealt with. But his body says otherwise. Suddenly, his vision began to blur and his legs is giving out. Then he could hear nothing but a loud ringing in his ears. Then, the blur slowly turns into darkness. He faints in the middle of the massive crowd and the magic he casted all disappears making it all night again.
"What? What just happened?!" A boar headed man was confused
"Inosuke! Come with me!" A man with yellow hair yelled
"What for Funitsu?!" Inosuke asked back
"The prince is down! We need to get him to safety!"
The two royal guard began to sprint pass people that was fighting for their lives. They dodged swords, bullets, even some sharp claws as they tried to reach the downed prince. They got to him at last and Inosuke quickly took the primce on his back whilst Zenitsu grabs the staff off from his hand.
"We got him!"
"Good, now we need to go to where the injured went." Zenitsu looked around
"Well hello there." Suddenly a new figure came out from the chaos
"What the?! Are you a demon?!" Zenitsu panicked
"Why are you in a pot?" Inosuke was confused
"Oh, so you took notice of my pretty pot eh? Well too bad you can't take it. But I will be taking that staff." The figure menacingly said
"What?! No!" Zenitsu yelled
"Then I have to take it from your dead corpse."
"Pottery magic: Bloody red fish bowl."
The figure creates several pots from the ground. Then, fish came out flying and they all had some very sharp teeth.
"What the hell?!" They both shouted
"These fish will nibs on you until no meat were left on your corpse." The figure laughs joyfully
"I, gah. I can't die! I don't want to- gah." Zenitsu fainted
"Aww, looks like he was the first victim then."
Inosuke sensed the danger and quickly uses one hand to swing his sword at them. He made quick work but he was slowly pushed back towards the fainted man.
"Oi Monitsu! Wake up! Wake up and run!" He yelled
"............Pshhh.........."
As if answering to his yelling, Zenitsu stood up facing the other way. Steams coming out of his mouth as he breathe out the trapped gas in his lungs and lightning arcs forming on his back. The big gem in the staff glows turning from red to yellow similar to the colour of his lightning arcs.
"Thunder magic: A thousand lightning strikes."
The sky became even darker and lightning strikes in several areas. Within a split second, the man before them vanished out of sight.
"What the?! Where did he go?!" The figure was shocked
"None of your business bitch!" Inosuke kicks the man in the pot in the face and ran
"You bastard! You dare do this to the great and mighty Gyokko?!" The figure was pissed off
Gyokko simply went inside his pot and went out inside another pot. He was right in front of Inosuke blocking his path.
"Pottery magic: Fish scaled hunchback."
He created several pots once more, this time they were all upside down. Then, flesh began to came out of it and it resembles massive fish with fins for legs. It spits out sharp bone like projectile covered in some sort of liquid. Inosuke felt the danger and dodged them all. He quickly turns and ran the other direction.
"You won't be able to hide from me." Gyokko made more right in his path
"You won't defeat that easily Harry!" Inosuke shouted
"Harry?! Who the hell is Harry?!" Gyokko was ticked off
"Get out of my way you weird fish creatures!"
Agitated, Inosuke tied the unconscious redhead to his back and he can finally utilise both his blades. He deflects all of the poison darts coming for him and sash right towards one of the creatures. He slash it in it's face and smash the pot on top of it. The creature disintegrates and Inosuke kept on looking ahead.
'Who are these people?!'

Meanwhile, the yellow lightning still strikes as he travels through the massive crowds. It was a long way before he reached to where the injured was brought to. As he was zapping through, suddenly he sees a fist appearing right in front of him. Normally he would dodge, but this one was a bit different. He slides under it and was horrified when he felt the ominous presence of it. But he realized it too late. He felt something had hit him into his stomach and it sent him flying into the trees far away from where he was. He grunted as he can hear his bones breaking hitting the tree and fell down to the ground almost motionless. It was not over yet he thought as he can hear the same ominous noise approaching him.
"Where do you think you're going that fast?" The figure spoke
"......." Zenitsu didn't spoke
"Oh right, you were too fast you forgot to breathe. Like I give a shit. I came here only for the staff." The person inches closer. "And it seems like you're giving it to me."
Zenitsu couldn't move as he can only breathe. He had one more charge left in his body to do one more dash. But he can clearly see that it won't work against the person in front of him. His movement wasn't fast enough for this man. He tries to hold onto the staff as he hears the man getting closer.
"Still trying to hold onto it eh? Let me punch that body of yours until your soul left it behind."
The man raised his hand ready to drill through the body of a fallen guard. He lunge it forward at speed and blood splattered onto his face. But the blood doesn't belong to Zenitsu. It was his blood.
'What just happened? My arm is gone.' He thought
"Serpent magic: Black mamba"
Suddenly, he hears another voice other than his. He turns around to see a man no taller than he is, in fact shorter. The man wields a weird looking sword that bends like a snake. He looked very pissed off for some reason. And doesn't exactly know why.
"Looks like someone else came to the rescue. Unfortunately, you're too late." He said confidently
"Am I though?"
"Huh?"
The figure was confused for a second until he felt blood gushing out of his body. His body began to crumble apart into 50 separate pieces.
"Now's your chance."
Zenitsu looked at him and nodded understood the signal. He zaps the hell out of there before the lump of flesh came back up. He stood there watching it regrew its arms and reattached the discombobulated body parts back into one piece.
"You piece of shit!" The figure is pissed
"Better watch your mouth."
"You're no taller than a child!"
"And your brain is no larger than a single nut."
"You are starting to piss me off here!"
"And so am I."
"Flame magic: Chaotic blue fists!"
"Serpent magic: Serpentine."
The two began to fight. With blue flame and snakes flying and crawling all over the place. Neither have the intention of backing off. And so the forest was set on blue flame rising higher with black smoke tainting the already tainted the night sky.

Zenitsu's POV
I managed to escaped. Somehow. With the help of that snake man. Doesn't matter now. I need to take this thing as far away as possible. It's clear that it was proven to be more valuable to them than anything.
"Cloth magic: Multilayered sashes!"
I heard a woman's voice. It seems familiar to me. It's the one who kidnapped the princess. Why is she here? More importantly, she has magic all along? I see some fabric of colourful patterns lined up above me. By their sounds alone, these aren't some ordinary cloth. I quickly stored away the staff on my back inside my armour. I had to take off my head gear in order to do that. I took out my blade ready to receive them.
"Thunder magic: Electrifying arc."
With my sword, I made ten slashes that overlaps each other in a criss-cross pattern in a form of an arc. It cuts the fabric into shreds and that made someone angry.
"How dare you cut my beautiful sashes!" I finally see the person who talks
Where is her brother? I know there's two of them. I get the feeling that he's not far from here- Looks like I was correct.
"Slash magic: Deadly blood sickle."
I sensed something was mear my neck. A sharp and curved weapon. It was a short range one judging by the sound right behind me. He's using her as a decoy. How appalling.

"Thunder magic: Thunderstorm mayhem."
After having analysed his surrounding, he took the best course of action for his condition right now. He stabs the sword into the ground and lightning struck his hands. He was charged up and he discharge all of the excess energy in one quick burst. It blows away both the siblings and also shocked their nerve system making them unable to move for a few second. He quickly took this chance and started running again, this time only sprinting at normal speed. He had already exhausted his magic and needed to recharge it before he can use it again.
