"This is stupid" Temi muttered as Favour stood in front of the bathroom door
"I heard that!" Favour replied
"I don't even wanna go, until now" Temi said as she walked out of the bathroom. Favour gasped
"Don't hype me jare" Temi said with an eye roll
Temi was dressed in crazy boyfriend jeans,a white and black crop top,Nike sneakers and her hair was done in a different way tonight. She had her jacket in her hand.
"We decided on short gown,not guyish look nau" Favour said
"This is what I wanna wear. Or I'm not going" Temi said

The girls got down from the car.
"Just have fun" Favour whispered to Temi as they stood in front of the huge mansion
The house looked like Ben's house from the Netflix series: Never Have I Ever.
Almost exactly.
The girls walked into the mansion as teenagers danced and drank.
They spotted Kudi on a couch, drinking something in a red cup.
"Hey hey. Where's Femi na? How can you be here alone?" Temi asked Kudi
"He should be here somewhere" Kudi said and took a sip of what was in her cup
"What's that?" Favour asked
"Water" Kudi replied holding out the cup
"Ehn, what's now with the dull mood? Let's go and dance jare" Favour pulled Kudirat up,and Temi just chuckled.
She stood up,and walked to a different couch,which was much safer.
At least,no drunk person would be falling on her here.
The couch was next to the wall,and Temi drank some sparkling grape juice.
She noticed a figure next to her,but she didn't bother to turn her head. She was too busy looking at Favour and Kudi dancing.
When she finally turned her head,her breath got stuck in her throat. No words seemed to come out of her mouth at that moment.
"I hope you're enjoying the party" Jamal said and Temi froze.
"Temi? Tems?" Jamal said and Temi slowly nodded.
When words came to her mouth,she just decided to say them at once and elope from his sight.
"I'm so sorry about spilling the fanta on you. I know you're probably here to kick me out of the party,and I'm fine with that,but let me apologize first or my friends would make my life hell. I'm sorry," she sighed "And about your further maths note,I'm also sorry about that. I don't even know how the thing happened sef,and your phone screen too,I hope you've let that go too" Temi added
"It seems you have," she took a step forward "I'll see you around" she said and took a few steps away from him in an attempt to leave. He held her hand,and she repeatedly blinked.
He licked his lips before talking.
"You didn't even let me talk," he sighed. "All those things you mentioned,I'm actually not mad at you about them anymore"
"Thank you" she rushed out
"Tems,calm down," he looked around "Sit"
He actually called her Tems. Again.
Temi was still recovering from the fact that he held her hand. It was like she was in a daze.
"Are you okay?" Jamal asked and Temi chuckled
"Yes,I'm fine now". She wasn't broken anymore
"So. How has school been?" He asked
"It's been fine" Temi replied and her reminder beeped in her back pocket. She brought out her phone and sighed upon looking at the screen.
It was time for her to continue making the banner.
"Shoot,I didn't even bring my laptop" she whispered
"Laptop? To a party? What for?" Jamal asked
"I'm making a banner for my online business"
"Do you need help?" He asked
"I actually do. I want a perfect design,but I've not been able to think that far" she replied
"I can help. But that's if you want" he shrugged
"Um,yeah. But I'm not with my laptop to even show you the various ones I've done" she ended with a sigh.
"That's not a big deal," he said. "Do you mind coming to my room?"
Temi stared at the guy next to her as if he was speaking blabberish.
"Are you cool with it?" He asked and Temi nodded.
He stretched out his hand,and when Temi put her hand in his,she stood up and they began to walk.
"Don't let go. It gets wild up there" he said and Temi nodded.
When they climbed up the stairs,Temi understood the meaning of what he said. Different people she didn't even know we're trying to drag her.
She was baffled.
It's not not like she was at a club. She was at a teenagers' party!.
What had the world turned into.
When they got to a brown door at the end of the row,Jamal unlocked it with his key. He then turned the lights on as they stepped in.
"Good thing I left my AC on" he said as he closed the door
Temi chuckled "I always do that"
His room definitely had a lot of gadgets. It was blue. He had a huge bed in the middle,a desk at a corner,a lamp on top of it. Then a huge wardrobe at another corner. She wanted to go on about the room,but Jamal called her name.
"Man,you zone out a lot" Jamal said walking to his computer
"Your room is the same colour as mine" she said and Jamal nodded
"Dope"
"You can sit" He offered her. She sat down on the chair and faced the computer. He stood at her back,then bent down to open his graphics package for her. He was at her back with both his hands typing on the computer with her head in the middle of his arms.
You know what I mean.
"There" he said and Temi began designing.
"You're good at this" Jamal said and Temi smiled.
A few minutes later,Jamal offers to help Temi.
"Thank you,Jamal. You've been of help," Temi said as she stood up and stretched. She looked at her phone and saw several texts from Favour and Kudirat.
"Your friends must be looking for you" Jamal said
"Yes,I guess they are" Temi laughed.
"May I have your number?" He asked and Temi nodded
"Sure," Jamal handed his phone to her,and she typed her number on it. "That's it" she added and handed his phone back to him.
"I'll need your email address too" he said
"Just send me a message with your number,then I'll send it to you" Temi said
Jamal nodded,and they started to walk out of his room.
"You abandoned your party by the way" Temi said as they walked downstairs.
Jamal didn't respond, they walked outside and saw Favour and Kudi standing outside.
When Favour saw them,she smiled,and let out a sigh of relief.
"Where have you been?" Favour asked Temi
Temi turned to Jamal.
"Thank you once again" she said and Jamal said
"My pleasure"
"So. Later then" Temi said
"Have a goodnight," he said to Temi and then turned to the girls. "Thanks for coming"
He the walked back into the mansion.

Temi's driver finally arrived,and then Favour and Temi got into the car. Kudi said she was waiting for Femi.
They both said goodnight to Kudi as the driver zoomed off.
"You have a lot of things to tell me" Favour said
