In order to get the magestone, they need to escape the frightening black oozing monster that is in the cave. With that, Briar has come up with a plan to get the monster away from the magestone so they can get it without any trouble. They can only hope that the plan works.
Grim calls out, "H-hey, monster! We're, uh... W-we're over here!"
"Ye-yeah! Come and... get us... you bully!" Sereia calls out.
Trinket even rings as she waves her arms.
The monster hears them and lets out a roar, "Grrraaawrrrr! BEGOOOOOONE!"
Grim cries out, "He's comin' our way! Briar!"
Briar calls out, "Right over here!"
The monster roars, "Grrurgh? Thieeef waaay toooooo... Neeevvva giiive stoooones! Neeevvvaaa!"
Just then, the monster begins to charge towards the group of four, and ready to attack them.
Grim panics, "Eep! If it lands one of those punches, we're toast!"
"And it doesn't look happy!" Sereia panics.
"We have to lure him as far from the cave as fast as we can," Briar says.
With that, the three begin to run away as the monster begins to chase after them.
The monster screams, "Begooone! BEGOOOOONE!"
The group hurries as they run away from the mine with the monster close on their tail. They continue to run through the forest close by until they reach a specific part of the woods.
Grim calls out, "We got him a good distance away from the mine!"
Briar then says, "Now's our chance!"
The four continue to run and are able to dodge the monster.
Briar shouts, "Alright guys, we're counting on you!"
With that, Ace and Deuce arrive on the scene.
"You bet. I got this!" Ace says, and brings out his magic pen, "One extra-large gust of wind, comin' up!"
With that, Ace cast his wind spell and attacked the monster.
"Alright! Now, hope you're um, ready for a bubble bath!" Sereia says.
Then blows out her bubble like magic to attack the monster.
Then it's Grim's turn, "With a side of Grim's blazin'-hot fire! MYAAAH!"
Then unleashes his fire power at the monster.
"Grrrah?!" The monster reacts to the three attacks.
Ace calls out, "How's that taste?! With my wind fanning them, even Grim's feeble flames can become an inferno! And Sereia's bubbles turns into a large form of suds!"
Grim feels insulted, "Whaddaya mean 'feeble'?! Ya really don't know how to shut yer, mouth, do ya?"
"Well, we can tell that the monster has weakened it," Briar says.
Then calls out, "Deuce, now's our chance."
Hearing Briar, Deuce nods his head.
He takes a deep breath and says, "Just stay calm, aim carefully... and pull out the biggest, heaviest thing I can think of..."
He then waves his pen in the air and calls out, "Get em, cauldron!"
With a flick of his pen, a giant sized cauldron appears over the monster and crushes it.
The monster screams, "Gwaaah?!"
Grim cheers, "Nailed it! The plan's workin'!"
"We got it!" Sereia cheers.
Grim grins, "That monster got smashed flat by a falling cauldron, just like Ace did!"
"Coulda done without the reminder, thanks! This has been one drag after another," Ace replies.
"Never mind that. We need to get into the mine while the monster's down," Briar says.
"She's right," Deuce says.
And says, "Quick! While it's distracting, we need to get that magestone!"
With that, everyone hurries into the mine while the monster has been flatten by the large cauldron.
However, the monster notices it, "Guh?! Waaait! Nooooooo!"
Meanwhile, in the cave, Briar and the others hurry through the inside of the cave to where they encounter the monster.
Deuce frantically looks around, "Where is it?"
"I don't see it anywhere," Ace says.
The group looks around to find the magestone.
Suddenly, they hear a cry for help, "Help... Help..."
"Did you hear that?" Briar asks.
Everyone stops and listens. Soon they hear someone calling out, "Help... Help..."
"You're right. Someone's calling for help," Ace says.
Grim is surprised, "There is someone in here."
Sereia notices a rocky barricade close by. Sereia climbs up and peeks through the hole.
Sereia calls out, "Guys, in here."
The group hurry over and Briar is the first to peek inside.
To Briar's surprise, she sees two small boys. One of them has small cat-like ears and seems really short and is probably a child. The boy has shaggy orange hair, while his ears are lighter orange with yellow eyes, and has a short cat tail. He is wearing a short sleeve orange shirt, blue pants, and black and white tennis shoes,
The other boy is also short, but he has calmly brushed sky blue hair, icy blue eyes, wears glasses, and has pointed ears. He is wearing a blue and light blue long sleeve shirt, blue pants, and black and blue sneakers. This boy is sitting on the ground, holding his right ankle.
"Hello!" Briar calls out.
The two boys gasps in shock, as the cat eared boy stands in front of the pointed ear boy in defense.
"Who are you?" The boy demands.
"I'm Briar, and we're here to help you. Are you boys alright?" Briar answers.
"We're fine," The cat ear boy says annoyed.
"Really cause, the other guy doesn't look fine," Ace says, peeking through the hole.
The cat ear boy sighs and says, "Not really. My brother and I were exploring the cave and this monster chased us. We were able to hide in here, but we got trapped when the cave collapsed."
The other boy brings out a glowing blue stone with red and green on the side, "We were hoping using the stone can help signal for help. I guess it worked."
"It's the magestone," Ace says.
"Yes. My brother and I were able to find a few, but the monster didn't seem to like it," The pointed ear boy says.
"Don't worry, we'll get you out," Briar says.
Everyone quickly stands back as Ace and Deuce bring out the pickaxe.
"Stand back, we're going to dig you out!" Deuce says.
The boys remain back against the wall for a safe distance. With that, Ace and Deuce begin to slam the pickaxe to the rocky wall as they begin to break down the rocks. Briar, Grim, Sereia, and Trinket quickly pick up the rocks and move them away from the opening.
Meanwhile, outside of the mine, the monster struggles to get the giant cauldron off of it and fears for the stone to be taken.
The monster screams, "Doooon't tooouch thaaaat!"
In the cave, the group continues to get the stone out of the wall, and soon hears the monster roar. They almost free the two boys out of their prison, but hear the monster trying to break free.
"Uh-oh! Looks like it's nearly wriggled free!" Ace panics.
"And we almost got them out," Briar says.
Grim turns to Decue, "Hey, Deuce! You gotta add more weight!"
"Y-you mean something heavier?" Deuce asks.
"Something heavy is good," Sereia panics.
"Uh okay," Deuce replies.
Briar takes the pickaxe, "I'll help Ace. You handle that monster."
"Right," Decue says.
Deuce quickly holds his pen and shouts, "Uh... I summon thee, cauldron!"
He then summons another cauldron and it slams on the cauldron on the monster.
Deuce panics, "And also, uh.. Um... Another cauldron!"
And summons another on the cauldron.
Then Deuce calls out, "And a cauldron on top of that! All the cauldrons!"
With that, another cauldron falls on the monster.
The monster screams, "Nnngaaaah!"
Seeing how many cauldrons Decue has summoned, Ace asks, "Is that the only thing you know how to summon?!"
"Pipe down already!" I'm working up enough as it is!" Decue shouts.
Just then, the rocky wall collapses towards them and they all move out of the way.
"We did it!" Sereia happily cheers.
Deuce, Ace, and Briar hurry inside to see the two boys.
"Are you okay?" Briar asks.
The pointed ear boy answers, "We're fine, but my ankle hurts. I don't think I can get up."
"I'll get you," Ace says, and picks up the injured boy.
Decue notices a bag, "What you got there?"
"We found some stones here and we are collecting them. They look like the one we used to signal for help," The cat ear boy says.
Deuce picks up the bag, "I'll help carry it for you."
"Okay," The cat ear boy says.
Just then, Sereia picks up a magestone, but it's at a different location, "Look guys, I found another one here."
"Great," Briar says.
"Arlight, we got our own magestone! Now let's get out of here!" Grim panics.
"Roger that!" Ace says.
With that, everyone hurries down the mine to get out of the cave with the two boys. Meanwhile, the monster is able to free itself from the cauldrons and hurry down the cave to find the intruders and the magestone. The group quickly hides in a cave close by and the monster runs past them. Then run out of the cave. When the monster arrives, it sees that the magestone is gone.
The monster roars, "MYYY STOOOOOOOOONE!"
Seeing the magestone gone, the monster then chases down the mine to find the robbers who have taken the stone.
