The smiles that Yoongi and Seokjin had plastered on their faces fell as the door opened to reveal a sloppily dressed couple. "What's up?"
Yoongi shook away his questioning thought of when the last time they showered was and smiled once again. "Nothing much. I'm Yoongi and this is Seokjin-"
"Yeah, yeah, we know." The omega interrupted him, rolling her eyes slightly. "Come on in." Yoongi and Seokjin shared a look before entering the house, Yoongi instinctually standing close to his omega in a protective way. As they moved further into the home, they caught sight of Jimin peeking out of one of the rooms. "Good luck with that one." The greasy haired omega sneered. "He thinks he's better than everybody."
"The other two are fucking around out back." Seokjin and Yoongi watched wide eyed as the couple stalked off, leaving them alone with the teenager who had now fully come out of what they assumed was his bedroom and was furiously tidying up the living room.
"Hi~" Yoongi greeted and Jimin quickly straightened up and smiled at them.
"Sorry about them." Jimin stated sheepishly. "They're a little-"
"Odd?" Seokjin offered.
The teenager giggled. "Yeah, but I guess I'll miss them." His eyes widened slightly. "Th-that is if you..."
Yoongi and Seokjin's eyes widened as they both started talking over each other. "Oh no, no, don't worry-"
"You made such a good impression on us-"
"-we want to get to know you better-"
"-and meet your brothers!"
Jimin perked up again. "They're just outside. You wanna go meet them now?" The couple nodded eagerly and followed the 15-year-old out to the backyard that somewhat resembled a junkyard. "Taehyung, Jungkook!" He called out to the two pups, who stopped running around and looked over at them in confusion. "I want you to meet Seokjin and Yoongi."
Seokjin and Yoongi waved at the two with big smiles. "Are we gonna go stay at your house now?" Taehyung inquired, gripping onto the basketball in his hands.
The couple shared a look, Yoongi raising his eyebrows to prompt Seokjin to do the talking. "Well, we met your brother, and he is just so amazing," Jimin smiled from where he was crouched down next to Jungkook, "and he was telling us about you guys-"
"Want to play restaurant with me?" Jungkook interrupted, looking up at Seokjin with big, doe eyes.
"I would love to!" Seokjin exclaimed and Jungkook bounded over to him. "Where's your restaurant?" Jungkook took the omega's hand and led him over to a rundown plastic table in the far corner of the yard. "What's your tiger's name?" Seokjin asked, gesturing to the stuffed tiger Jungkook was clutching in his other hand.
"Honey Twist!" Jungkook sang out.
"I love honey twists!"
Jungkook nodded as he pushed Seokjin to sit down. "Honey twists are my favorite."
While they played, Yoongi opted to hang out with Taehyung, shooting his ball into the barely hanging on basketball goal. "Woah, that was so cool!" Taehyung looked up at the alpha in awe. "Can we be the Lakers?!" He asked excitedly, eyes gleaming.
"I'm actually more of a Bulls fan." Yoongi stated.
Guilt flashed in Taehyung's eyes. "Oh, I'm sorry."
Yoongi shook his head. "You don't have to be sorry, it's okay! We can be the Lakers!" Taehyung nodded a bit. "I'm gonna shoot, you crash the boards." Taehyung nodded again, so Yoongi took a shot.
The ball bounced off the rim and went right to Taehyung, hitting him square on the nose and knocking him to the ground. Jimin, who saw the accident, immediately rushed over to his little brother to comfort him, taking him inside to get him a rag for the blood that was now dripping from his nose. "You did it on purpose!" The pup accused as Jimin led him back outside. "You hit me because I like the Lakers!" Taehyung wailed, looking up at Yoongi in fear.
"I think the Lakers are awesome!" Yoongi exclaimed.
"Yeah, we love the Lakers!" Seokjin agreed as Taehyung leaned further into Jimin for comfort. "They're amazing! We are obsessed!"
Taehyung finally calmed down after Jimin finished cleaning his face, taking a shaky breath and looking up at the couple. "Can we play hide and seek?" He asked timidly.
"Are you sure?" Yoongi asked in concern. "You lost quite a bit of blood."
Seokjin subtly nudged his mate. "I love hide and seek!"
Taehyung glanced at the omega before turning back to Yoongi. "Just us. No omegas or puppies."
Seokjin blinked as Yoongi turned to him. "Oh, okay. A large part of me wants to be extremely offended right now, but sure. No problem." He looked at the youngest of the siblings. "Jungkook, shall we go play restaurant?" Jungkook nodded happily and took Seokjin's hand to lead him off again.
"You're it!" Taehyung announced. "I'll hide and you count."
"Are you sure you're okay?" Yoongi asked once more, and the pup nodded that he was before running off.
At the plastic table, Seokjin watched in slight horror as Jungkook reprimanded his stuffed tiger. "You better not embarrass me at the restaurant today!" The pup shouted. "Honey Twist has been a bad pup! BAD PUP, BAD PUP! Don't talk back you little crack pup!"
"Uh, I don't think-"
Seokjin was cut off by a voice from above. "He picks that stuff up from the TV!" The omega looked up to see the pups' current foster parents leaning out of a second story window. Jimin crossed his arms and glared up at the Moons. "Oh, don't give me that look!"
Seokjin shook his head slightly as he turned back to Jungkook. "Let's not call him bad names like-"
"Don't tell me how to treat my pup!" Seokjin looked at Jungkook with wide eyes as the pup glared at him. "Do you think you're better than me?!" The omega had no idea how to respond to him.
"Yoongi, if you don't want the pups, I'm not gonna force you into it." Yoongi looked over the sink they were currently taking out at his mate in disbelief.
The alpha sighed and stood up. "I'm gonna be honest with you, I just thought that when we met our pups, there would be some kind of cosmic connection." Seokjin dropped the wrench he was holding as he looked up at Yoongi. "Like we would just take one look at them and just know, kind of like when you and I first met."
Seokjin blinked. "Yeah, totally." He picked his wrench back up and got back to work.
"Wait, you didn't just know?" Yoongi asked, staring at his mate in confusion, and Seokjin just made a small passive noise in response. "Oh my god!"
The omega sighed and paused his work to look back up at his mate. "Well I was interested but you know I'm more cautious than you are!"
A laugh made its way out of Yoongi's chest. "How long before you knew?"
Seokjin let out a scoff and shrugged a bit. "A couple of months."
"A couple of months?!" Yoongi exclaimed. "How many months?"
The omega bit his lip before responding. "Four..." Yoongi's eyes widened in disbelief. "...teen."
"Fourteen months?!"
"I knew before we mated!" Seokjin pointed out.
"Well we don't have a yearlong engagement for this situation." Yoongi grumbled, obviously still salty over the fact that Seokjin didn't 'just know' that he was the one when they first met like he had with the omega. "If we say yes, they're in our house next week." Seokjin stood up to join his husband as he realized the sink wasn't coming out anytime soon. "Did you feel a cosmic connection?"
"No, I didn't feel a cosmic connection." Seokjin admitted. "I felt like I was babysitting other people's pups."
"I agree!"
Seokjin furrowed his eyebrows. "With what?"
"With you!"
The omega scoffed. "With me wanting the pups or not wanting the pups?"
Yoongi shrugged. "Whatever you want." That response earned a light punch on the chest from his mate.
"That's not an answer!"
"Then give me 14 months to think about it." Yoongi replied pettily, which caused Seokjin to roll his eyes and laugh.
