3 Months Later...
"Clarke, you have a letter from Bell" Octavia yelled.
The girls had moved across the complex, and were all settled in, Octavia and Clarke have been busy painting the Nursery. Raven was on baby furniture assembly.
Octavia walked in the room carrying new rollers and handed Clarke her letter. She moved to the rocker and sat down opening it.
"We are going to get some lunch and bring it up here" Raven and Octavia stepped out the door giving her a second to read in peace. She nodded she heard them before
unfolding the paper.

It's been three months, and I'll have you know I found a sparkle today. haha
You weren't kidding I couldn't get rid of them if I had too! I got the ultrasound
photos you sent...a girl. I don't know whether to be excited or scared, I'm both
at the moment. I'm not sure I'm ready for another bossy woman in my life, My
sister and you are enough most days. We are going to have to find a bigger place
to live, five of us in a two bedroom is not going to work. We can look when I get
back. It's hot here, like 105 degrees as a low. I am not equipped for this heat, I
can't believe I'm going to say this, but I miss Virginia humidity. Not nearly as much
as I miss you though. They have tried to get the command center up a few times
so we can video call but we have ran into a few issues, hopefully soon. I'm dying to
see you. The photos you send don't do you justice ;) I hope you are telling the baby all
about me every chance you get. Is Octavia being Mother Hen? Lincoln said her letters
pretty much scream she's overprotective haha. And you thought you'd be the one taking
care of everyone. I have to go, we are getting ready to move out for a few days. I Love
you more than life itself and I will be waiting for your next letter. 6 more months until I
get to hold you again, we are almost half way through the wait. I'll write again soon.

She wiped the tears off her cheeks, six more months, she wanted to see him. His letters were vague as she was sure they had to be but it just made her wonder what was going on, there was "issues", "setbacks", "obstacles" but that was all she ever heard. Even if he could tell her he probably wouldn't, now that she thought about she wasn't sure which way would be more comforting. She was guilty of doing the same thing though, her sugar levels and blood pressure were high, but the pregnancy was going along "Great" because it was and she would make sure it did.

"Mail" a call was heard from the communications tent, they got mail maybe once every other week if they were lucky. Bellamy finished his food and waited until the crowd dispersed before standing and making his way to the tent. 4 letters were left, one for Lincoln from his sister, One for Wick from Raven and two for him, one from Clarke and one from Octavia. He grabbed all of them and brought them back to the table where the guys were. Wick took his and headed to the tent, Bellamy and Lincoln agreed they were too tired to move and stayed right there at the table. Bellamy opened the letter from Octavia first.

Hope everything is going well, I miss you, Clarke misses you, Hell even
Aella and Raven miss you. Clarke is doing great, she's not really moody,
just eats everything, and I mean everything. Doesn't look like she's gained
a lot of weight though, so I don't know where it goes. She's got a serious
green olive addiction, it may end up being the babies favorite food. She's going
to have olive withdrawals when she's born. You guys need to pick a name, You
can always name her Octavia after her amazing aunt you know! I think that's a
splendid idea! I'll write again soon, stay safe xoxo

He smiled, he could see Octavia animatedly writing that letter, wanting to fill him in on small stuff. He shoved it in his pocket grabbing the next letter. The second he opened the letter from Clarke her perfume lightly drifted out. He unfolded the lavender paper, happy to see it wasn't flooded with sparkle as a few of them had been, no photos either though. She didn't send photo's every time but he did love when she did. His eyes traveled over her handwriting.

Work has limited me to managing, not so much hands on now until the baby comes.
We cancelled cable, we couldn't take the news anymore, so we have Hulu, Netflix,
Paramount+ and Disney +. We are living a life of binge watching tv shows, We watched
Sons of Anarchy, Vampire Diaries, Yellowstone, The Sopranos, Shameless, The 100 and
now we are deciding if we are starting Heartland or The Witcher. Lots of Choices! Our
lives are boring without you guys! I've started buying baby stuff, I couldn't resist, I'm super
excited! I'll send photo's next letter, I took cute ones of Aella, just haven't had time to print
them yet. Your sister is crazy, she doesn't let me do anything alone except sleep and shower haha.
I laid awake last night, missing you. I found the north star and it brought me comfort knowing you
could see it too! It makes it seem like maybe you aren't so far away. I love you Bellamy.

Bellamy set the letter down, scanning it for the part about work.
"Lincoln" Lincoln looked up at him from his own letter.
"Four months pregnant, and they pull you from heavy duties at work? it says 'Work has limited me to managing, not so much hands on now until the baby comes"
"I don't know maybe it's what they do, I've never been around anyone pregnant except Clarke, I guess it could be strenuous if you are doing a lot of the activities with the clients, as you know she does to keep people motivated."
"But she's in great shape, just sounded odd" Bellamy stated folding the letter up.
"Well what did Octavia say?" Lincoln asked about his letter.
"That the pregnancy's going great and Clarke has the appetite of a bear." Bellamy laughed.
"Then stop worrying, they would tell you if something was wrong" Lincoln smiled than burst out in laughter.
"That sounded more believable in my head, but I wouldn't worry, they know what to do and what's best for them" he ensured Bellamy. Bellamy nodded in agreement.
"You think they know we don't tell them everything?"
"Yep, you don't think they wonder why the command center hasn't been set up yet? what the issue is?, I know you don't believe that they think its just bad cell service.." Lincoln watched him think it over.
"Bellamy, get out of your head, you have a baby to go home too, if there was an issue that you needed to know, they would make sure you knew. Maybe she wants a break, it's a lot of stress on them knowing we are here. She's probably just taking precautions to keep herself relaxed." Lincoln added.
"Yeah, your right, I'm reading into simple shit" Bellamy agreed finishing his soda, as Lincoln went back to reading his letter.
