"Goddamn bestie! What the hell happened to your back" I heard from behind me
I was in the kitchen drinking a bottle of water with my back to the entrance. I was only in a white sports bra and grey sweatpants.
I turned around to see Kylie there standing with her hand over your mouth and a shock look on her face.
"Ask your best friend" I said taking a sip of my water
"Allison did that" She pointed
"Mhmm" I nodded my head smiling "If she did that then she's probably immobile" she said

I made my way to the bedroom opening it, I stepped inside seeing Allison sitting at the edge of the bed.

I leaned forward taking the envelope from him. I looked at it seeing there was no return address. I opened the envelope taking out what was inside.
The first thing I saw was writing which read "Happy Birthday my love. I read the writing about five times, the hand writing looks so familiar, I knew this hand writing.
I finally flipped the card over and it was a Polaroid of me and my ex. I turned the envelope upside down shaking out whatever that was left inside and to my surprise a couple more Polaroids fell in my lap.
Some these were random pictures we took and some were intimate ones. I haven't heard from her in years and the first time I do this is what I receive.
"What are those" Marcus asked
"Trash" I said getting up from my seat going over to the shedder putting the pictures in
My mood was completely ruined if I'm being honest, my day started off so good and now this is what it has come to.

"I need some time alone" I walked back over to my desk taking a seat
"Alright if you need anything just let me know" Marcus stood from his seat

Allison POV
"I saw what you did to best friend" Kylie said
"We are not going to talk about me like you didn't walk in here with a limp" I said
"Both of y'all were limping" Jade said as the three of us burst into laughter
"The Russo's know how to put in down" Kylie shrugged

Before any of us could replied my phone started to ring. I picked it up seeing that I was getting a call from Leone. I stood up from the couch excusing myself as I walked into the kitchen answering the call.
"Princess" I heard on the other end of the phone
"Baby" I replied leaning back against the island
"I miss you"
"I miss you too baby but I saw you not too long ago" I chuckled
"That's a long time it felt like forever" she whine "I wanted to hear your voice" She said
"As I said earlier you are pusssy whipped" I laughed
"Leave me alone woman" I could tell she was pouting "Did you get your roses" she asked

"Are you and the baby okay, did you guys eat"

If it's one thing I know is that I can tell when someone is wrong with Leone or something is bothering her. And right now I know it was either of the two.
"You aren't, what's wrong baby" I asked concerned

I heard her sigh before clearing her throat "Something happened today at the office"

"I received a package today that I wasn't expecting"
"Leone you are beating around the bush just get straight to the point" I said getting slightly irritated
"Not your mood switching, it's because your pregnant" she chuckled
"Don't test my patience Leone"

"So I received a package, it was a birthday package but it was from my ex" she said
"What did the package contain" I asked now irritated
"I don't want to talk about it over the phone, I'll rather do it person"
"Get home now Russo and I'm serious" I hanged up without giving her a chance to even respond
I placed the phone on the island as close my eyes counting to 10 trying to calm myself down
Prepare me and give me the strength lord for what I'm about to endure
I only heard the rumors and what Leone told me about her ex but her sending Leone a package for her birthday, she must be out of her goddamn mind.
Leone haven't spoken to her in years so why would she try to make communication after so long. What could she possibly want after all this time.
I don't know how long I was standing in the kitchen for spaced out, but I heard a voice that brought me back to reality.
"Princess" Leone walked into the kitchen
I don't even know how she got here so fast. She must have heard the seriousness in my tone, lord knows how many stop lights she had her drive break to get here.
"Don't talk, upstairs now" I said taking my phone off the island then walking out the kitchen brushing my shoulder against hers.
It was probably these pregnancy hormones having me react this way because I think I was overreacting right now but it honestly doesn't matter.
I heard her sigh followed by her footsteps letting me know she was walking behind me.
"I love you"
"Mhmm I love you too but your in trouble now stop talking to me"
