It was about two weeks until the seniors were finally graduating. However this would be their final week of school and they couldn't be any more excited. The classroom was all talking among each other, their voices blending into a loud buzz.

K4 sat at their normal places, laughing at their own dumb jokes. "Remember that one time Hyuck got his foot stuck in the wall?" Renjun said, immediately making Jeno and Jaemin burst out in fits of laughter at the memory.

Donghyuck on the other hand wasn't having it. The latter was quick to start defending himself. "It wasn't even my fault! You forced us to play soccer blindfolded." He pointed an accusing finger at Jeno.

"How was I supposed to know that you'd be stupid enough to run straight into the wall? The ball wasn't even close to you." Jeno retorted, laughing at the offended look on Hyuck's face. The two continued arguing between each other, Renjun soon joining in as well. Jaemin chuckled at his friends' behavior, finding it hard to believe that soon they'd never be able to sit like this in class again.

He then let his gaze tear away from the three, his eyes almost automatically landing on a certain someone. A smile instantly spreading on his lips as he saw the boy he has grown far too fond of. Heeseung was sitting in his regular seat at the back of the class, reading.

Jaemin excused himself from his friends, not that they would even notice his absence. He sat down on the desk right in front of Heeseung which happened to be empty. He silently watched Heeseung as the boy read, oblivious to the world around him. Jaemin couldn't help but admire the boy. He was too cute. Jaemin knew he was falling and he was falling hard and fast.

"Are you just going to stare at me or are you going to say something?" Heeseung's voice rang in Jaemin's ears. Jaemin snapped out of his trance, seeing Heeseung close his book and place it down on the surface.

Jaemin smiled, leaning forward so that he was now supporting his head with his one arm. "What makes you think I can't multitask?" He teasingly asked, resulting in Heeseung to roll his eyes and slap Jaemin's arm almost making the latter slam face first into the desk.

Heeseung started laughing at the boy as Jaemin was now looking at him with an unimpressed expression. "Not funny, Hee." Jaemin whined.

"I'm sorry, but your face." Heeseung replied in between giggles. It didn't take long for the scowl on Jaemin's face to transform into a smile. He loved the sight of Heeseung happy. "You're staring again, you creep."

Jaemin hummed, shyly breaking his eyes away from Heeseung. He then looked back up at the boy in front of him, an idea forming in his mind. "Want to go out after school?" He asked, subconsciously taking Heeseung's hand into both of his.

"Out on a Tuesday? A school night?" Heeseung's eyebrows furrowed at Jaemin's suggestion.

Jaemin shrugged, playing with Heeseung's fingers. "It's not like we're doing anything important at school right now. Plus, it's last period and I want to see you more than just at school. You don't even allow me to hug you here." Jaemin pouted.

"It's not like that ever stops you." Heeseung retorted. "Fine, we can go, I guess."

Jaemin smiled, bringing Heeseung's hand up to his lips and pressing a small kiss in his palm. The action didn't go unnoticed as some students were now looking in their direction. So much for keeping things lowkey.

"I'm pretty sure everyone just saw that," Heeseung laughed, interlocking their fingers.

"You don't seem very bothered by that though?" Jaemin questioned as he smiled at the boy.

Heeseung hummed, tilting his head as he held Jaemin's gaze. "I don't care. I have nothing to be ashamed of." His words made an uncontrollable smile spread on Jaemin's lips.

"I would kiss you right here, but I think we've done enough damage for today." Jaemin teased.

Heeseung snorted at Jaemin's remark, "Just go back to your friends. I'm already getting tired of you."

Jaemin gasped, feigning offense. "Wow, I preferred the shy Heeseung. You know, the one who was actually nice."

"Well, too bad you're stuck with me. Now go away, I want to read."

Jaemin accepted his defeat and made his way back to his three friends. Yet even when he was away from Heeseung, he just can't seem to take his eyes off the boy. "We get it. You're in love, Jaem." Donghyuck noted halfway through the conversation.

And he was right, Jaemin thought an hour later when he was walking, hand in hand with Heeseung. The latter was rambling about the new book he was reading and as much as Jaemin had no idea what he was talking about, he still couldn't help but listen to his every word. "And that's where I am right now, but I'm still kind of confused by what the author is trying to achieve with the main character. He's kind of- Are you even listening to me?" Heeseung interrupted himself midsentence.

"Of course, I am." Jaemin replied, smiling his sweetest smile.

Heeseung on the other hand didn't fall for his charms this time. "Where are we going anyway?" He changed the topic instead.

Jaemin shrugged and started swinging their locked hands back and forth. "You can choose. I'm fine with anything you want."

Heeseung gave Jaemin's
offer some thought, his mind wandering around the park they were walking through. Suddenly his eyes land on something, a place and a smile immediately appears on his face.

Heeseung tugged at Jaemin's hand to gain the boy's attention. Jaemin directed his attention onto Heeseung, humming to let the latter know that he was listening. "Did you decide?"

"Yes," Heeseung then pointed further down the park. Jaemin followed the boy's eyes only to be met with a huge ice-skating rink.

"You want to go there?" Jaemin slowly asked as his eyes made it back to Heeseung. The latter eagerly nodded and then started pulling Jaemin along with him.

After paying for their tickets, the pair made their way to the other booth to rent some skates. "I forgot to ask, but you know how to skate, right?" Heeseung asked as he tied his skates.

Jaemin went silent at this, making Heeseung check if he's still there. "I'm going to assume that's a no." He chuckled.

Jaemin sheepishly shook his head, then started pushing him off the seat. It didn't take long for the boy to lose his balance, but Heeseung was quick to hold him in place.

"Maybe you shouldn't try walking on your own." Heeseung said as an airy laugh escaped his lips. He let Jaemin hold onto him as he tried getting both of them to the entrance of the rink while he's walking backwards. "I'm going to step onto the ice and you're going to hold onto the edge, okay? I'll help you onto the ice after that."

Jaemin had no choice but to obey. He was at an disadvantage here, so he'd really only make a fool of himself if he didn't.

He watched as Heeseung made himself comfortable on the ice, skating a bit before making his way back to Jaemin. "Sorry for keeping you waiting." He apologized as he reached his hands out to help Jaemin.

"It's fine. You look like you were having fun." Jaemin smiled, but Heeseung didn't even see it. The latter hummed instead as he focused on getting Jaemin balanced on the ice without him getting hurt.

"If I knew you couldn't skate, I wouldn't have forced you. I'm sorry." Heeseung said as Jaemin took hold of the boards surrounding the rink.

"I told you to choose, so I'm going to try for you." Jaemin reassured the boy. "Now, go on. I want to see you skate, pretty boy."

Heeseung slightly blushed at the nickname but slowly backed away. Jaemin watched the boy effortlessly skate over the ice, doing some tricks here and there. He was in awe of Heeseung right now as he's never seen the boy this way before. He definitely liked this Heeseung– the carefree Heeseung.

Jaemin stared at the boy who had the happiest smile on his face as he enjoyed himself. Even though Jaemin couldn't really join the fun, he was more than happy to just watch Heeseung do what he enjoys.

After a few minutes, Heeseung finally started making his way back to Jaemin. The latter pouted, lowering his phone. "Why'd you stop? I was taking pictures."

Heeseung became shy after Jaemin's confession, the boy then shaking his head as he went to grab Jaemin's hands. "Yah, yah, what are you doing?" Jaemin started panicking as Heeseung started pulling him away from the edge of the rink.

Heeseung ignored his protest and this only made Jaemin freak out more. "What if I fall? I don't think you could catch me-"

"Do you not trust me?" Heeseung interjected.

"Well of course I do but still what if I-"

"Jaemin." And that's all it took for the latter to shut his mouth and that made Heeseung laugh. "Your hair. Tell me why you dyed it?"

"I already told you though." Jaemin said, hand subconsciously going to touch his new orange hair. He found that to be a big mistake as he nearly fell forward, Heeseung catching him once again.

"Tell me again, I forgot." Jaemin knew he was lying but couldn't resist the boy's smile.

So, he began telling the story again. "Min was sad all weekend and I decided to make a deal with her. If she left her room and eats something then she can do whatever she wants with my hair." Jaemin was aware that they probably looked stupid just standing in the middle of the ice but he kept talking. Heeseung hummed, assuring Jaemin that he was still listening.

Jaemin continued talking about how much fun the siblings had dyeing his hair and what a mess the bathroom was after they finished. He was so engrossed in his own story that he didn't even notice that he fell for Heeseung's plan.

"You really love your sister so much." Heeseung spoke, making Jaemin finally focus on his surroundings. Heeseung had slowly started moving the two of them across the ice.

Jaemin laughed once he spotted the sly smile on Heeseung's smile. "You really managed to trick me, huh?"

"Maybe... Now, try to skate with me."

After many attempts, Jaemin finally seemed to get the hang of skating without Heeseung's support. He definitely wasn't a pro yet, but his current skills were sufficient for a slow pace.

Heeseung intertwined their fingers again and began leading Jaemin around the area. Jaemin was definitely enjoying this, even though he still had a little bit of fear in the back of his mind.

Eventually the two stopped in a somewhat secluded part of the ice. "That was so much fun!" Heeseung exclaimed, smiling from ear to ear.

"Definitely." Jaemin said, once again finding himself admiring Heeseung's beauty from where he leaned against the barrier.

Heeseung looked over at Jaemin and their eyes met. The shorter suddenly felt extremely flustered under Jaemin's gaze. He broke their locked eyes and threw his arms around Jaemin's neck.

Sighing in contentment, he hugged Jaemin's body tighter as he felt the latter's arms go around his waist. Heeseung slightly lifted his head, just enough to look up into the other's eyes. "You make me very happy, Na Jaemin."

The latter smiled down at the boy in his arms and then leaned in to press their lips together.

Jaemin smiled into the kiss, making Heeseung faintly giggle. He tightened his arms around Jaemin as the orange haired started rubbing small circles on Heeseung's sides with his thumb.

The kiss was filled with love, perfectly expressing their feelings for one another.
Jaemin had never felt more happiness in his life as he slowly moved his lips against Heeseung's. He never wanted this moment to end.

Suddenly, Heeseung started laughing and Jaemin looked at him in perplexity. He furrowed his eyebrows, eyes questioning as he stared at Heeseung.

"I'm sorry," The boy managed to say. "I just really like kissing you."

Jaemin smirked, "Well, then I think we need to continue. Don't you think?" He started leaning in again, but Heeseung turned his face so that Jaemin landed a kiss on his cheek instead.

"We sure do kiss a lot for people who aren't dating." Heeseung joked as he started playing with the hair at the back of Jaemin's head.

"Well, would you want to do that then? Would you want to date me?" Jaemin asked, slightly tilting his head as he awaited Heeseung's answer.

"Hmm, it depends." Heeseung replied, unlatching his arms from around Jaemin's neck. The latter's smile momentarily drops.  "Are you saying that because I mentioned it or because that's what you really want?"

"Of course I want to date you. Why would you even question that?" Jaemin asked in return.

Heeseung shrugged before turning away and started skating away. "Heeseung!" Jaemin called after the boy, sighing when Heeseung didn't stop.

Soon the boy disappeared into the crowd and Jaemin was left contemplating ways for him to get back to the boy. Ultimately, he decided to try to skate on his own in hopes of spotting the boy.

He didn't make it very far, however, when not even two meters in he started losing his balance again. He cursed under his breath. How the hell was he going to get himself out of this situation.

After another miserable attempt, Jaemin gave up. He wandered his eyes over the whole area and Heeseung was still nowhere to be seen. Maybe he actually did leave Jaemin stranded all by himself.

"Stop sulking, you baby." A voice spoke up and a pair of arms wrapped around Jaemin from behind. Jaemin smiled, turning around to look Heeseung in the eyes.

"I thought you really left." Jaemin whined.

Heeseung rolled his eyes, "I would never leave you."

Jaemin's heart fluttered at the words. Though the situation wasn't that serious, Jaemin knew that those words had a deeper meaning to them.

"Will you be my boyfriend?"

The words had left Jaemin's mouth before he could even prevent it– it's not like he didn't already want to scream them from the top of his lungs.

Heeseung stared at Jaemin with those doe eyes the latter couldn't resist. "You're serious?" He carefully asked.

Jaemin nodded his head, a light chuckle leaving his lips. "I've always been serious when it comes to you, Hee."

"If I say yes, will you promise me that you'll never break my heart?" Heeseung asked.

"Only if you promise not to break mine?" Jaemin asked in return.

Heeseung smiled a soft smile, his eyes sparkling under the bright lights. Jaemin swore he could never get tired of Heeseung. To him the boy was ethereal and as much as he hates to admit it, he'd let him break his heart over and over again.

The slightly shorter boy interlocked their fingers, holding their hands between their bodies. "The answer is obviously yes. I've always been yours, anyway."

A wide smile spread on Jaemin's lips when Heeseung confirmed their relationship. He didn't hesitate engulfing the boy in a tight hug even though he was overwhelmed with emotions as he stood with Heeseung in his embrace.

"Nana," Heeseung whispered to himself causing Jaemin's heart to skip a beat when he overheard it. He loved the nickname, he loved the moment and he especially loved the boy he was spending it with.

Jaemin reluctantly pulled away, realizing that they were actually dating now. He didn't even care for the weird stares they got as they stood in the middle of the ice rink. None of that mattered, because he was content as he leaned in to place another kiss onto the boy's lips. The same boy he now got to call his.

His boy.

this is definitely my favourite chapter i've ever written. it's 2600+ but worth all four days i spent on it.
