[Third Person...]
"Y/n get back here!" Natasha yelled as she chased you around your apartment, her younger sister Yelena following right after her to help capture you.
"No!" You yelled running, trying to hide from the two assassins.
You had woken up to Yelena and Natasha in the bathroom arguing about where your sensors and insulin was, you successfully snuck out of the room before they could prick you with your needles. Natasha usually checked your blood sugar and gave you your insulin when you were asleep but being Yelena was there she needed her help today.
You hid your medicine because you hated needles, if you had a chance to hide them, you would.
Unfortunately, they found them.
"Baby, we just want to check your blood sugar, one tiny prick on your finger!" She yelled, you quickly dashed for the closet and locked it before she could see where you turned. A closet, how ironic.
You could hear Natasha outside the door.
"You go that way, I'll go this way." She tells Yelena. You hear footsteps walk away, but stay put.
Suddenly the doorknob jiggled and the door opened revealing both Yelena and Natasha. Of course they knew where you were.
"Leave me alone!" You said crossing your arms. Natasha smiled before picking you up and kissing your soft cheek.
"Aw, my poor baby is pouting. I promise it'll be quick." She said setting you on the couch. Natasha sat next to you before forcing you over her and having you straddle her lap, innocently.
She wrapped her strong arms around your waist as she allowed Yelena to grab your hand. You extremely hated needles, so this was going to possibly make you cry. No, it was going to make you cry.
You shut your eyes tight, Yelena sat on the couch next to the both of you on her knees to be at level with you incase she had to hold you down as well.
You felt a hard prick on your finger and looked down, blood dripped from your finger and tears made their way to your eyes.
"It's okay, my love." Nat whispered
Your blood sugar was a little low, but you hadn't had breakfast yet. So it meant you had to take insulin.
"No— no— no!" You said scrambling out of Natasha's hold but she held you down tightly.
"It's either this or your blood sugar going really high when you eat"
"Let it go high, no! I don't want it! Stop!" You scrambled, you've had type one diabetes since you were younger before you became an agent for SHIELD, so you have always had to deal with this sort of thing except before it was your brother fighting you to give you your medicine, now it is your girlfriend and her sister.
"I am not risking you going into a diabetic shock now sit still!" Natasha yelled throwing you onto your back onto the couch as she sat on her knees between your bent legs, holding down your crossed arms. You pouted.
"Do it 'Lena." She tells Yelena, Yelena stands beside your body lifting up your shirt slightly to give you your insulin in your abdomen.
Tears made their way down your eyes as you could feel the needle in your skin.
"It hurts." You whimper
"I know baby, she's almost done." Natasha looked at you guiltily. She wished she could have just hurried to give you your medicine while you were still asleep.
Sure, you would have probably felt it but you were also a heavy sleeper.
"Okay, one last thing." Yelena says pulling out the patch machine to put the circular needle that goes into your arm in order to keep track of your blood sugar throughout the day without continuously pricking your finger.
"No, no... Natty, that one hurts. Please." You whimpered, Natasha looked really guilty now.
"Don't fall for it, Natalia. She needs it or else we'll be fighting to get her finger pricked all day!" Yelena argued
"Natty..." you whimpered again letting out a small sob as tears flowed down your cheeks. Natasha looked at you with soft eyes. Your bottom lip quivering as you softly cried.
"She's calling me 'Natty'" Natasha poorly reasoned with her sister. You only ever called her Natty when you were in pain, you were beyond terrified or you needed Natasha. Right now, you were three for three.
"Poor excuse, not good enough. She needs this, what if we can't prick her finger later and she goes into diabetic shock." Yelena argues once more. Natasha sighs before tightening her grip on you once more except she straightened one of your arms out twisting it just enough for Yelena to get the back of your bicep.
"Do it, quick." Natasha says, Yelena nods as she had to block out your sobs. Natasha smoothed out your hair to try to calm you. You were just having a bad day overall and it only started.
Yelena does the machine quickly, you squeal in pain and surprise feeling the needle prick you once more. Yelena quickly attached the other part of it before backing away.
"Done." She said flopping onto the recliner opposite of you.
Natasha finally let you go, but instead of you running into her arms you ran into the room to cry by yourself.
"Baby..." she said trying to call after you.
"Leave her, she'll get over it soon. She's in a bit of pain right now as well as freaking because there's a needle in her arm." Yelena explained to Natasha.
Natasha nodded giving you ten minutes by yourself before her thoughts overcame her and she went looking for you.
You were in your room, back faced to the door as you silently sniffled into your pillow and safety stuffed animal.
Natasha sat on your shared bed before speaking. "I'm sorry my love..." she said meaningfully, you quickly turned over and hugged into her, Natasha helped you into her lap and let you cuddle her.
"I'm going to see if Tony can find a solution for this somehow, maybe we can do something without so many needles." Natasha explains, you nod. She sighs tilting your head up.
She pecked your lips softly.
"Do you forgive me?" She pours, you nod once more.
"I'll always forgive you."
"Good, because this is for your own good. I need you to always be safe and healthy, and speaking of, Yelena cooked so let's go get your blood sugar up my love." You nod allowing Natasha to carry you to the kitchen.
The rest of the day went by pretty smoothly. Natasha being her usual self as she was every hour checking your blood sugar. She was always so paranoid, possibly because she didn't grow up with much illness around her.
She was scared that one day you were just going to drop dead, she was beyond terrified.
So she always kept you at her side, and always watched over you. It is why she always fights to make sure your medicine is taken, she is deathly afraid of losing her safe person. She won't risk that. Not if she had anything to say about it.
She couldn't lose you.
You were her world, without you, it was like the sun falling out of the sky.
She couldn't handle that.
