"Okay, I didn't lie. I omitted certain truths," Stiles said as Derek shoved the boy against the bedroom door.
After finishing an awkward dinner, the three went upstairs to wait for Scott. Derek immediately bombarded Stiles once they entered the room.
"Vital truths now that I think about it," Stiles continued blabbering.
"I don't wanna talk to you," Derek shoved off of Stiles. "I want to talk to the alpha. I'll talk to Scott."
"Well Scott's not here Derek," Sofia whisper-yelled at the young boy.
"Then get him!"
"Okay," Stiles scattered to open the door. "I'm going to go get him. My phone's downstairs, gonna go call him real quick. You stay here, just don't move. Okay? Don't move."
Stiles rushed out of the room before sliding back into the doorway, "Don't... I thought you..."
Sofia and Derek gave the teen a weird look as he rushed back out. The young boy sat down on the bed and put his head in his hands.
Sofia was never good at comforting people and wasn't sure what to do. She gently pat his shoulder, making him look up at her. The familiar dark eyes that stared back at the girl became too creepy for her to look at.
"I'm gonna check on Stiles," Sofia motioned to the door before hurrying out.
She felt bad for the kid, she really did. But all she could see was adult Derek behind his eyes. The whole situation was freaky to her.
Sometime later, Stiles and Sofia had discovered that Derek had snuck out with Kate Argent. Scott and Peter figured out that Kate was after the triskelion that belonged to the Hale family.
Sofia and Stiles rushed to the high school, Lydia and Kira close behind. Stiles had taken his metallic baseball bat with them, after suffering through Sofia making immense fun of him.
They rushed through the school, trying to find the other members of the pack. Sofia was the first to make it up the stairs and watched as large people-like creatures hurried away from the scene.
She noticed someone standing in the walkway with their back turned. It looked to be Derek but she couldn't tell.
Suddenly the person turned around and revealed themselves to be adult Derek. He looked around the group before his eyes flashed a bright yellow.

Sofia was ecstatic, to say the least, that Braeden had agreed to stay in Beacon Hills while conducting business. It had been a week since the whole Kate incident and Braeden had been staying in a motel near the Hale loft.
"That table's Italian," Peter complained as Braeden put her feet up.
"So are these boots," Braeden gave the older man a smug smile. "Are we gonna talk interior design and fashion or are we gonna talk numbers?"
Peter wrote something down on a small piece of paper and slid it to Braeden. She picked it up and leaned it towards Sofia. The girls shared the same facial expression. Braeden crossed the number out and wrote one much higher before sliding it back across the table.
Peter scoffed once he read it, "We're hiring you to find Kate, not assassinate the president."
"I was hired by the Calaveras to find Kate. You're hiring me to find her first. Going against the Calaveras is what's going to cost you," Braeden leaned back in her chair.
Peter scoffed and Sofia decided to butt in, "No one goes against the Calaveras, Peter." The girl paused for a moment and slightly mumbled the rest, "I would know."
Peter groaned and stood from his seat. He dramatically flailed his arms around at the girl.
Derek leaned over and looked at the new number Braeden wrote, "We'll pay. Just find Kate. That's all we want."
Sofia walked Braeden out, the two hugging goodbye. She came back in to Peter and Derek fighting.
"Are you insane?"
"We don't have a choice. We spent a week looking for her, and came up with nothing," Derek remained calm, leaning over the table with his back to his uncle.
Peter slowly started walking towards the man and ranted, "If we don't find out who told Kate about the vault, we don't get those bonds back. What do you think I'm gonna do then, huh? Get a job? My resume is slightly out of date! We got robbed, Derek. Robbed!"
Sofia quickly made her way over to the two, knowing there would be no good outcome. Naturally, she was correct. Derek angrily turned around and roared at the man. Sofia turned away as quick as she could.
"Oh... that's a new look for you," Peter said in an ominous tone.
Curiosity got the best of Sofia and she turned back around. Derek's eyes were still flushed with the same yellow from before.
"What happened to your eyes?" Peter questioned, apparently not having seen them earlier.
"I don't know... but I'm willing to pay to find out," Sofia could hear the bitterness in Derek's voice.
The tension in the room was obvious. Sofia decided to take her chances and butt in, "Peter. Don't you need to finish clearing out your other apartment if you're moving back in."
Peter slowly turned to the girl. She gave him a look and he rolled his eyes, soon making his way out of the loft.
Derek had turned back around and was facing the window. Sofia sighed and walked over to the grumpy man.
"Derek," she called but no answer. She gently tried to turn him around.
"What!" Derek roughly turned back to the woman.
Sofia was slightly taken aback, "Don't take your anger out on me. I had nothing to do with this."
Derek moved away to grab his phone, "I need to call Scott."
"Don't worry, I talked to Malia this morning and she talked to him. They're not gonna worry about everything until schools over."
Derek paused his movements for a moment, "You already talked to them?"
Sofia mmhm'd in response, not noticing the look Derek was giving her. After a long moment of silence, Sofia finally looked up.
"What?"
Derek shook his head, "I just didn't think you, uh, talked to the them."
Sofia scrunched her face in confusion, "Why wouldn't I?"
Derek shrugged, "I guess some stuff changed while I was gone."
Sofia forced herself to look away from the man. That familiar fluttery feeling that filled her stomach had returned, "You can say that again."
