"Stay here! Don't do somethint stupid." Karina sighed for a hundreth time
She fixed her dress and locked the door on the passenger seat as she left Winter to rest there before she walk back inside the club.
She needed to take Ningning and Winter back at Yuna's house. They're drunk. She's sure of that.
Karina entered the VIP room with a pokerface, the boys are still doing their teenage activities and her eyebrows furrowed in confusion when she saw almost no girls inside
"Hey! Haechan, where are the girls?" Karina questioned, eyes darted at the vacant sofa
Haechan's tired eyes snapped to her, "Yeonjun took them home. They're all passed out, don't worry Jaehyun's with them."
"Oh, I see. Do you have a bottle of water there?" Karina reached over the cooler
"You going home already?"
"Yeah, I have a shoot tomorrow."
"Want me to take you home?" He offered
Karina smiled, "No need, enjoy luv. See you when I see you." She waved her hand at him
Haechan shrugged his shoulders as he went back to doing his thing with Mark and the other boys.
Karina left the club feeling bothered. She guess she'll have to ride with Winter alone. She guessed she can take it, the said girl is passed out in her car anyways
Well that's what she thought. Because as soon as Karina entered the car, Winter is wide awake, waiting for her.
Yet, she looks in dazed. The alcohol is still taking over her body and only she knows how wavery her vision is. She's dizzy as hell.
"Can I borrow your phone?" Karina nonchalantly said, she started the engine without glancing at the girl beside her
Winter chuckled, "I didn't brought it with me."
That sounded familiar in Karina's ears, she decided to ignore it though she can see Winter's phone hanging out of her pocket
"Can you call Lia for me then? We have to let them know you're safe, and I will be taking you home." Karina drove slowly, the least thing she wants right now is Winter puking her entire system in her car
"I told you I'm already home." Winter whined
Karina couldn't help but crack a little smile.
"Lia is a chill girlfriend of yours, but she wouldn't like it if she hears you saying that." Karina said in a monotone voice
Her genuine smile slowly turned into a bitter smile. Silence filled the car. She could see Winter staring at her through her peripheral vision
"This is exactly why she broke up with me." Winter whispered, seemingly sober.
Karina didn't know what to say. That was a shock to her part, didn't she say she's planning to propose to Lia last last week?
"Well... that's crazy." Karina awkwardly stated
"Do you think we could've made it?" Winter quietly asks her
Karina abruptly looks over at her, tracing every feature of her face like she had a million times before, and as her heart begin to the rythm of her short breaths, she turns away.
"Yeah," She barely whispers, "Yeah I think we could have."
"I wish you knew how bad it fucked me up." She added. Her eyes started to fill with regrets, pain, and sadness
"It was probably my fault for getting attached to you." She said. "Both of us knew you would eventually leave."
Winter looks at her with concern, as if she never meant to hurt her the way she did.
"I almost wish we never met." Karina chuckled bitterly, "But, a part of me still loved the memories we shared in those four years."
Winter's eyes turned watery. She closed her fist out of anger. Not to the girl who's driving but to herself.
If only she didn't let her emotions control over her that day, they could've been living up to their dreams together right now.
"Karina," She called softly
The older female hummed in response.
"I love you." She murmured out of the blue
Karina freezes, she blinked a couple of times. She didn't expect that, yet she kept her composure
'She's drunk, Rina.' She thought to herself
"Why do you still love me?" She asked calmly
"I don't know." The other replied
Karina took a deep breath, then blew it out.
"Then why did you stop?"
"I think I never did."
"And Lia?" Karina scoffed, she couldn't believe what she's hearing. "You're so fucking unfair, Winter. Do you know that?" She held the steering wheel tight and speed up a little
"I know, trust me. I wanted to kill myself for all of this." Karina's face softened at her remarked, she slowed down but she didn't stopped
"I did love her. In those, two years we had I wholeheartedly did, but it drastically changed as time went by. I can't stop remembering you, it all keeps flooding back just when I thought it's gone. I am so fucked up. Lia is so sweet, and I hurt her.. just like how I hurt you."
"So that's it? you're coming back to me because you lost her? I can't fucking believe you. I'm just a second option to you then." Karina scoffed, pissed.
"No, Karina! Please, let me court you again Karina." Winter sounded determined
Karina rolled her eyes, "Make up your mind, Winter."
"I'm serious. This time I promise I'll treat you better."
"You promised the same thing too, look where it got us." Karina forced a laugh
"What do you want me to do? I can't let you go this time." Winter tried to move but her head started aching, she rested her head back on the seat
"Ask me that question again when you're sober, Winter. Besides, Yeji is also courting me and don't assume I'll accept you that fast."
Winter crossed her arms, she suddenly feel dizzy. The alcohol still has some effect on her.
"Was she the one who took care of you?" She asked while staring out the window
"Yes."
"Do you like her?"
"Yes," Karina answered without hesitating
Winter exhales deeply. She opened her mouth and closes it again.
They were near the same old apartment they rented together.
"You'll stay with me tonight. Yuna and Ryujin said they're out of town."
She remained quiet. Soon as Karina parked the car Winter opened the door and stood up by herself, but she fell quickly and her vision went black for a second
"For fucks sake!" She heard Karina cursed her way towards her
"What? You're concerned for me now?" Winter giggled
Karina huffed in annoyance, "No, I'm afraid you'll scratch Yeji's babiest car."
Winter lay down the cold ground, her eyes darted at the night full of stars.
"Winter, get up!"
"Lay down with me. It's beautiful!"
Karina held the bridge of her nose. "You're still a pain in the ass!" She snarled
"I'm leaving you."
Winter didn't moved an inch.
"Karina?"
They both heard someone familiar calling for her name.
"Yeji?!" Karina yelled questioningly
Karina was ready to walk towards the girl when a hand stops the helm of her leather jacket
"Stay with me, Karina."
The girl looked at her then to Yeji. Deciding on what to do. The latter swayed from left to right as she fell out of dizziness.
Karina pulled away from Winter's grasp and went to Yeji as fast as she can to check on her.
The younger female had her head hung low. She watched as Karina gently cupped Yeji's face and ask if she's hurt.
Winter helped herself up.
"Is this the same thing you felt when you saw me with Lia?" She whispered into thin air
Winter let them be lost in their own worlds as she watch the both of them leave her behind. Karina had her hands around Yeji's waist, supporting her on their way inside the building, and just like that she forgot she was with Winter.
She smiled bitterly.
"I guess I deserve this."
