I regret many things I've done, especially dating people in my life, and taking up the role as the leader.
I am not able to sleep, whenever I close my eyes memories of seeing Ella tied up haunts me, the blood curdling scream she let out scares me. I couldn't bare to see it again, I rather not sleep then relive it. I'm on my computer, sending emails and seeing who the traitor was through the security footage. I have the list of all the guards and people working so I will find out who did it.
I see Ella start stirring around, I don't know if it's a nightmare or just her adjusting. I was on the left side, she was in the middle and Stefan on the right side. It was weird for him to be back and sleeping in this bed, I never expected to see him in this bed again. I used to dream about it all the time, cry in the pillow for him and now he's here but I don't feel the same.
I looked to see Ella gripping the blanket, moving around the bed a lot more. She let out a small whimper instantly recognizing the beginning of a nightmare that can go into a big one or turn into nothing.
I watched her to see if it is big or nothing but I was wrong. Within 5 minutes it was a big nightmare which I immediately woke her up
"Hey Ella, it's okay" I said rubbing my hand on her back.
"I'm scared" she said hugging my waist and putting her head on my stomach, something she would do when she was little.
"It's okay, I'm here, no one will ever hurt you again" I replied. I could feel tears forming which I repeatedly blinked away. I have to be strong for her and focus on her. I let her stay like this for the rest of the night, not even bothering to move if I had to pee. Eventually around 7am she moved and I got up to use the restroom and slowly get ready for the day. Every couple of minutes I checked to make sure she was still asleep. I took a very quick shower and put on some loungewear seeing I won't be back in the office for a while.
"Good morning" Stefan said scaring me. He was learning on the doorframe looking at me through the mirror
"Morning" I replied giving him a tight lip smile.
"Did you sleep after she woke up?" He asked adjusting his stance
"Yeah" I lied putting my moisturizer on and spraying my perfume
"Lies" he replied to which I turned around to, giving him a questioning look
"And how would you know?" Raising my eyebrows as I proceed to ask
"When you lie, you always avert your eyes" he said with a cocky smile, knowing he caught me. I start walking to him, taking long stride and getting on my tippy toes whispering in his ear seductively
"or maybe because I don't want to see your ugly face"
I got off my tippy toes and passed right by him, i went downstairs to make a quick breakfast. Once I put it on a plate I went back upstairs and ate it on my desk. I didn't want for Ella to wake up alone. I worked for a couple of hours, contracts, emails, shipments and more.
"Good morning" Ella said. I turned around to see her leaning on the backboard of the bed
"Good morning, how did you sleep?" I asked. I didn't expect her to talk to me after last night but I'm glad she is.
"Fine" she answered getting up from the bed.
"Let's get some breakfast" I said as I moved over to the bed. She nodded her head and we went downstairs. All of the kids are downstairs and I made them breakfast with Stefan.
"Ella, Dr. Williams will be over. You guys can have my session in my office and no one will disturb you" I said putting the plate down in front of her. The others were confused and I know they were wondering what happened to their sister but I didn't know what to tell them.
"Ok" she mumbled eating her pancakes. They all ate their breakfast until Dr. Williams came. Ella and her walked to my office and the others stayed in the kitchen.
"Mom, can I hang out with Roxie today?" Madeline asked causing fear to rise in me. I can't trust anyone anymore, I don't know if Madeline or Anthony or Elijah is next.
"How about you invite her over and you guys can go swimming and play in the game room" I said
"Ok" she shrugged going upstairs, now it was just Elijah and Anthony left.
"I'm gonna go over to uncle Lucas's house to go see Spencer" Elijah said sliding off the barstool
"I'll drop you" interrupting him and scrambling to get my keys
"I can just take a driver" he answered shaking his head.
"No, I'll drop you. I have to see Lucas anyway" I replied waving my arm for him to follow. I told Stefan I'll be back and Anthony and him are playing in the game room.
"What happened to Ella?" Elijah asked making me tense up. I tried to think of something quickly without revealing what I do
"Someone tried to take your sister but luckily she still had her location on and your dad and I quickly found her" I said
"That's why you won't let us go out alone?" He questioned
"Yes, it happened to recent so I just want to make sure the family is okay" I replied
"Ohh okay" he said nodding his head. I dropped him off at Lucas's and talk to Lucas for a bit. He asked if i was okay and i just lied, not trying to make others worry.
Once I got home, I saw that Madeline's friend is over and I say hello but leave to not disturb them. Anthony was playing with his toys with Stefan. It seems like Anthony likes Stefan over me. I went up to my room and did some work. I needed to go to the warehouse to check on inventory.
"Stassie" Dr. Williams voice echoed in my room through the intercom. I got up and clicked the button as I respond "yes, Dr. Williams"
"Can you please come down?" She asked
"Sure" I replied. I went downstairs and saw only Dr. Williams in my office. She sat on the side couch with her notebook she always has.
"You wanted to see me" walking closer to my desk, shooting my head to see my computer on but not logged in
"Yeah, wanted to give a little update on Ella" she replied adjusting herself on the couch
"Ok, how is she" I said turning off my computer.
"Traumatized, how is she at home?" She asked
"She slept in my room and had a nightmare. When I was in the hospital, Stefan slept in her room because she didn't want to be alone" I replied letting the words flow from my mouth not hesitating.
"I'm order for her to get better we don't want to encourage the behavior-
"But if she's scared I have to be there and let her sleep in my room" I quickly shot cutting her off
"I'm not saying you can't but having her sleep in your room for weeks on end will encourage this behavior. We can slowly distant her from you guys and learn again. What I would do is although you won't like it but slowly kick her out of her room but show her you aren't abandoning her. You can have a baby monitor in her room for her to feel safe and eventfully take it out without her knowing." She suggested making me think about what she is saying can work
"And what if she doesn't want to go out or not want to leave us alone?" I questioned
"You will have to force her, Ella doesn't like getting out of her comfort zone so you will have to force her out." She replied
"What if we end up hurting her more?" I asked
"You won't, she's at the lowest point and will only go up. She won't get hurt from this and forcing her out will be healthy as she reenters her life outside of this house" she replied
"Ok, I can do that. Anything else?" I asked
"That is all, I will see Ella next week to see her progress" she got up, fixing her skirt as she spoke
"Thank you" I smiled walking out with her. I opened the door and saw as she walked to her car. I waved her goodbye and she did the same and got into her car. I closed the door and went to find Ella.
I found her in her room sitting on her bed. She needs to socialize and I will force her out for once. I never wanted to but she needs to get better not me but for her and she may hate me but she'll regret it if she doesn't get better.
In order for me to get better, I need to go kill someone
