Well this is the first chapter of Book of Secrets Yay!!!

“Watch out!” Shouted Max as his football came crashing down landing on Rachel's painting,“Oh my gosh”screamed Jenny as she saw that her clothes where covered in paint, in her rage she threw her bottle of water into the air, It sprayed all over Adam's computer, giving out a few sparks and as he jumped back he bumped into Kelly, who had a book in one hand and her lunch in the other. For a second everyone gasped with horror as Kelly's lunch went flying through the air and landed on Miss Penny the maths teacher. Miss Penny had her hair up in a bun as usual and was wearing a stylish new dress which had pink polka-dots.
“Max, Rachel, Jenny, Adam and Kelly! Lunchtime detention now.” she shouted as she wiped spaghetti off her glasses.
“Are you lost?” sarcastically asked a boy sitting at the back of the classroom as they walked into detention, he was wearing a cap which concealed his eyes, but you could see a little bit of brown hair sticking out of it.
“Should have known Zack would be in here” Max Rhead said to his girlfriend Jenny, as they went to sit down at the other end of the room, Max had light brown hair and was wearing his football uniform, while Jenny Price had changed out of her dark blue blouse and black pencil skirt, into her 'emergency' white dress and red jacket, she had natural blond hair and light blue eyes, like her twin brother Adam Price, who sat at the front of the room working on his laptop.
The room was plain and boring, it had no posters like the other classrooms, there was a filing cabinet with a box on top of it and four rows of desks which were badly vandalized,
“Hi Zack,” said Rachel Barnett as she walked over to him, she had her beautiful red hair up on a pony tail and was wearing a regular t-shirt and jeans that had paint splattered all over them.
“Hey” he replied as Rachel sat at the table next to him, “So why are you in Detention?” Zack asked intrigued as he leaned back in his seat in a comfortable pose,
“Miss Penny completely freaked out for no reason” Rachel started but was rudely interrupted by Max who sarcastically laughed, “Not for no reason.”
“Don't Max” Jenny whispered placing her hand on his arm,
“Why? Everyone knows whose fault it was” he began turning to look at Kelly,
“Why are you looking at me?” Kelly Jones asked as she turned round in her seat, she had long wavy brown hair and deep brown eyes, she was wearing some casual black trousers and a white blouse,
“Well if you weren't so clumsy” Max continued raising his voice,
“What?” she cried,
“It wasn't Kelly who kicked the football, it was you” Rachel accused,
“What do you mean? I shouted over to you” justified Max,
“Oh, you shouted to me, well that helped” Rachel laughed, “How was I suppose to know you were talking to me, you never even notice any of us any more, you've become big headed, always hanging out with the popular crowd,” she argued getting frustrated,
“Big headed? I'm not big headed, the only reason I don't hang out with you any more is because ….”
“You haven't got time or you've got plans. We've heard all the excuses” Rachel interrupted,
“I hang out with Jenny all the time,” Max spat back at her looking over to Jenny for support, she had her head hung in guilt trying to stay out of the argument.
“That's because she's your girlfriend and you haven't been hanging out with her lately anyway, because she's been with me and Kelly,” she cried, his face went white and he shot a look at Jenny,
“I've been busy with practice, you know that,” he explained to Jenny who still had her head hung but this time she had shame on her face.
“I know,” she explained affectionately sending a look to Rachel who realized that she shouldn't have said anything.
“Well I don't see what that has got to do with anything anyway,” Max threw back at Rachel,
“OK, I think we should all calm down … I'm actually quite proud of you … your all becoming rebels like me” Zack laughed trying to ease the tension in the room,
“the only reason you try to act like a rebel is because your mummy didn't want you and left for another family.” Max snapped causing everyone to look at him with a gasp,
“Max!” Kelly scolded,
“say that again, I dare you” Zack shouted angrily as he stood up knocking his chair to the floor,
“What are you going to do about it” Max sneered as he too stood kicking his chair angrily,
“Guys don't” called Jenny worriedly as the boys closed the space between them, but before she could say another word, Zack had pushed Max and he went flying landing on the table behind,
“Stop it Guys” Kelly shouted but Max punched Zack and he fell back into the filing cabinet and the box on top of it fell, it's contents emptying onto the floor,
“STOP IT” shouted Adam as he stood in between them both, “You used to be best friends,” he reminded them,
“I must have been out of my mind to hang out with that idiot,” Max spat nastily as he walked back to his seat in a rage.
Kelly and Jenny started to clear up the mess that the boys had made during their scuffle. The girls put the chairs back to there original places and started to put some of the papers back into the box which they had fallen out of, but as they sorted through the roughage Kelly came across an old book.
The book had a big symbol on the cover, which looked like many different symbols all joined together. Inside a circle, there were four triangles all pointing different ways, one up, one down, one left and one right, it looked like the points of a compass. In the middle of them was what looked like a lightning bolt and under the symbols was a word but it made no sense, it was so mysterious it gave Kelly shudders.
“What's that?” asked Zack whilst he helped to tidy the mess he and Max had made,
“I don't know, it must have fallen out of the box” Kelly replied,
“Wow it looks ancient, what does that word mean?” Rachel asked when she saw the book,
“It looks like the title” Adam chipped in when he turned to see what they were talking about. As they were fussing over the book, Miss Penny walked into the room, “sit down” she screamed after she slammed a notebook on the desk at the front, she was now wearing a different dress which Kelly thought was nicer that the other one, but Miss Penny obviously didn't agree. “Mr Wood take that cap off” she shouted at Zack who with a huff obeyed.
When Kelly finally got home she quickly ran upstairs, but before she got to her room her parents called her into the kitchen,
“We've had a call for your school today Kelly,” Mrs Jones began as she sipped her coffee, she was dressed in a business suit and had her hair up on a ponytail, she had just come back from a meeting at work.
“do you want to explain why you were in detention,” Mr Jones asked as he set his cup of coffee down on the table, he too was dressed in a suit and he had a briefcase next to him and looked at Kelly seriously,
“I...I...I don't know” Kelly stuttered although she did know why she was in detention, she just knew that her parents would still be angry, whether she explained or not.
“You don't know? Well do you know what your father and I had to go through to make sure that that detention didn't go into your permanent record?” her mother snapped at her, “do you know what effect that detention could have had on your future?” she continued “Don't you care about how hard we've worked?” her mother spat slamming her hands on the table,
“I...I …- ”
“Do you want to be stacking shelves in the supermarket for the rest of your life?” her father interrupted,
“No” Kelly admitted as she bowed her head during a short uncomfortable silence,
“Good, Now go upstairs and do your homework” her mother ordered as she calmed herself down and Kelly obeyed.
Entering her room she threw her school bag on the bed, she hated having arguments with her parents, they were never satisfied with how hard she worked.
Kelly quickly got dressed and sat on her bed emptying the contents of her bag. Mixed in with her school books was a big book with a symbol on the cover, it was the book from detention, but she swore she had put it back in the box on top of the filing cabinet. Kelly sat looking at the cover of the book brushing her hand across the symbol, it was so strange and mysterious. Curiously Kelly tried to pronounce the word that Adam had called the 'title'.
“z...ze...zey...zeyra... Zeyra”
It must have been a different language, it looked so exotic and strange, Kelly carefully opened the book and realized that the pages were blank apart from the very first page. The same exotic language wrote out a small pasage it big thick letters. Kelly once again tried to read the writing.
“Penzy Vor Zin Actura Hiltz Beim Uoz Zin Zeyra”
