Napahinga ako ng malalim, I don't know what's with Zallistine. But the cake she made before was indeed our kids' favorite.
I slowly exited our kids' room, sinilip ko lang kung nakatulog na sila kaya hindi agad ako naka-reply kanina. I made my way to my husband's office here, may tinatapos kasi siya kaya nagsabi na mahuhuli matulog but here I am about to disturb him.
I knocked on the door, this feels nostalgic. Naalala ko tuloy kung paano ako madalas kumatok noon sa opisina niya rito tuwing may sasabihin ako sa kanya. Those days where I have no idea we'll get here.
Who would have thought that our quiet relationship before would lead here, may tatlo na kaming boys. I undergo ceasarian kaya hindi ko naman dinanas ang katulad sa mga kaibigan ko, it was the safest way for my twins. I slowly opened the door as I battle my own thoughts of continuing the prank. I really don't know why would I do this kind of stuff.
His expecting eyes stayed on me, lifting a smirk. "Miss me already, wife?"
I pursed my lips and shrugged my shoulders.

Tumikhim ako, "Matatapos ka na ba, Sawyer?" inosenteng tanong ko habang linilinga ang monitor.
His brows was quick to meet, hindi siya nagsalita pero lumalim ang titig niya sa akin. I suddenly felt guilty doing this when he's in the middle of the work.

"Again?" He asked with a supressed annoyance in his voice.
His arms traveled to my waist, locking me to him.
Naikagat ko ang ibabang labi at tiningala siya sa gilid ko, ang titig niya ay hindi nagbago. When I didn't answer, his jaw moved.
I pursed my lips.
My husband is so handsome in every reaction he gives.
"Wala, hubby." I faked a laugh.
He heaved a sigh in relief.

Agad nag-angat ang gilid ng labi ko nang pumasok ang asawa ko. My eyes didn't leave the love of my life.
"Miss me already, wife?" I asked, teasing her.
She just pursed her sweet lips and shrugged her shoulders that made me raise my brows. I tap my lap, signing her to come closer. If there's something I don't like about my wife, that's definitely kapag naatat ako sa paglapit niya. Like this, I just want to hug her immediately but her walk is being slow. Or maybe just in my mind.
Tumikhim siya habang papalapit.
"Matatapos ka na ba, Sawyer?"
Mabilis nagsalubong ang kilay ko. Sawyer, huh? I'm very much aware I didn't do anything wrong today. As far as I remembered, we were okay and just played with our kids. That's why I have to work this late.
I made my wife sit on my lap and stared at her, questioning. "Again?"
Hindi siya nakasagot. Maybe due to tiredness, I can't help but feel annoyed. Napatiim-bagang ako ng kagatin niya ang ibabang labi at humarap sa akin.
"Wala, hubby." She dismissed.
I heave a sigh.
"Hmmm, really?"
This time, she genuinely chuckled. Ngumiti siya at linapit ang labi sa akin. I kissed her back when she smiled against our lips.
"It was suppose to be a joke."
Umismid ako saglit at muling nilapat ang labi sa asawa ko. "Just kiss me, baby. I'd prefer that than jokes I'll never get."
Humalakhak ito.
"I prefer jokes though."
My brows furrowed. My wife be really testing me, hmmm. I slid my other arm at the back of her thighs and lifted her.
"Hubby!" tili niya. "May work ka pa!"
Pinalupot niya ang dalawang braso sa aking leeg.
I smirked, "I'd like to change your mind than finish my work though."
"Fine! I love your kisses more than everything!"
I roared in laughter. Hays, I love my wife so much.
