Chapter 215 - "Since when did Film Emperor Fang JueMing become your aunt?" (1)
For those who automatically placed themselves on the moral high ground, she just ban each of them as they come. It so happened that Gong YiLin ran into her. If it was anybody else, he'd just pay money to make it all go away. He made a mistake and he should be prepared for the consequences. He only went as far as he did because he figured that his family was wealthy.
Had he not be punished for his actions this time, he might do something even worse to someone else in the future. The truth was, Gong YiLin didn't regret about what he had done; he regret that he had misjudged her as someone weak and that he could walk all over but he couldn't have been more wrong.
They could call her petty all they want but no way she was going to call it all off!
Li XinYun closed out of her chat and walked out of her room. She sniffed and smiled. "It smells so amazing! What is it?"
Zhou Yi, sitting on the couch, looked up and smiled at her, "Come and try my grandma's fried oysters. Hers are better than the ones you find in restaurants."
Zhou Yi's grandmother had come over to their house the last couple of days. She was in much better health now. She used cooking as a kind of exercise and had been making everyone midnight snacks as of late.
Li XinYun picked up a fried oyster, still hot from just coming out of the vat of oil, and put it inside of her mouth. The fresh flavor of the oyster exploded on her tongue. The batter was crunchy on the outside and the inside spongy and warm. It was delectable to have with a little bit of the sweet spicy sauce.
Delicious! She couldn't stop once she had started and ate one after another.
"Grandma's cooking is so amazing!" She had been calling her Grandma just like Zhou Yi.
Zhou Yi smiled so much that her eyes could barely be seen. "She hasn't made this one in a while now."
As the two chatted, the two girls cleaned off a full plate of fried oyster by themselves. After she had finished eating, Li XinYun reflexively pinched her waist and, she wasn't sure whether she was imaging it or not, but she felt that her dresses had been a bit tight on her lately. She stroked her cheek and felt even worse. Perhaps she should start watching what she was eating. She might otherwise not be able to fit into the new clothes that she had bought.
When she was done eating, her mother Fang JunRong, too was home, bringing with her the bitterness from the outside weather.
Li XinYun recalled something and asked, "Mom, did the Gong's reached out to you to let them off the hook?"
Judging from how urgent Gong YiLin's friends had been reaching out to her, he clearly cared a lot about the demerit and also worried about a criminal record.
Fang JunRong gave it a little thought and said casually, "Oh, you mean the Gong's? Not that I am aware of. They won't be able to get ahold of my personal cellphone number with their status."
She had looked into the Gong's because of her daughter's incident and learned that they, too, were in the cosmetic business, mainly focusing on facial masks. Their net assets were in the two billion range. Rich, but not so rich that allowed them to walk sideways. She wondered what made them feel so confident in themselves. The fact that this was the first time things had backfire on them was in and of itself a miracle.

Ain't that the truth! They probably also knew better than to reach out to her mother directly. She, on the other hand, was only 17 and was probably viewed as someone that they could potentially convince.
Thinking of that, Li XinYun pouted in discontent. She felt that she was being underestimated.
Fang JunRong had a lot on her plate and didn't have too much bandwidth to spend on the Gong YiLin issue. She just needed to hand over the lawsuit matters to her team of lawyers and that would be that. They were hired on with lucrative amounts and now it was time for them to do their thing. She even had them looked into Gong YiLin past to see if there were any other victims out there who might want to sue him. She would be more than happy to cover their lawyer fees as an act of kindness.
Chapter 216 - "Since when did Film Emperor Fang JueMing become your aunt?" (2)
There was no Li WangJin or Li ShiZe this New Year and the few ladies truly enjoyed their peaceful time together.
Fang JunRong even gave the two girls their red pockets on New Year Eve.
Li XinYun took the red pocket, squeezed it and, eh, how come it felt like a piece of gemstone?
She opened up the red pocket and took a look inside. It was a piece of jade, and Suet white jade at that! White jade was smooth and delicate to the touch and it even had a hint of warmth when holding it in one's hand. There was a rose carved on the jade with a drop of dew on it that looked like it could drop any minute. Li XinYun's eyes beamed. She liked it a lot and decided that she'd make a pendant bout of it.
As for Zhong Yi, hers had a peony on it. It was very delicate and matched her perfectly.
Both of these two pieces of jade had been sitting in Fang JunRong's dimension for a while now and would be good for their health to have it on them at all times. As for Zhong Yi's grandmother, Fang JunRong had given her a piece in the past as well. She wished that this old lady who did not have a good ending would have a peaceful golden age this time around.
While the atmosphere was very peaceful over on this end, the same could not be said about Li ShiZe and Jiang YaGe's end.
Li ShiZe, his face cold, sat not too far away from Jiang YaGe. There were tears in Jiang YaGe's eyes and she looked very pitiful. If it was six months ago, her look right now would have moved Li ShiZe deeply and he would do just about anything for her just to put a smile back onto her face. He would not let one drop of tear roll down her face. Nevertheless, now he had been living under the same roof with Jiang YaGe for a few months and had seen how she would cry over the littlest thing, her tears would no longer made him feel pitiful toward her, just aggravation.
Here we went again. The looked that she had been bullied. It was like she was passively accusing him of being in the wrong and denouncing him for the way he acted.
He took a deep breath and asked, "Where's the White Jade Cream?"
Jiang YaGe felt very wronged. "Haven't you been using it all along?"
His hand had already healed completed but the jar was empty. He couldn't keep on using it even if he had wanted to. How could he not be anxious? He knew the medicine didn't come by easily and, if he missed this chance, there might not be another one. Thinking of that, he became more aggravated. He looked at Jiang YaGe with discontent.
Jiang YaGe too, was frantic. She saw that Li ShiZe was recovering fine and figured he would not need that much of it. That and they needed money on top of it. In order for Li ShiZe to not find out about it, she took a little bit of it every day and supplied them to Fang JueMing.
Her relationship with Fang JueMing had been getting better and better as the days gone on and, not only had him paid her 1 million yuan in return, he had also referred her to a few auditions. None of them were big roles and they were all cannon fodders, but she was just happy that she could edge into the entertainment circle.
She couldn't possibly share these details with Li ShiZe. This boyfriend of hers was somewhat of a male chauvinist and couldn't handle her being around any other man at all, even though she was just friends with them.
She didn't want their relationships to become rockier.
She quickly came up with a good excuse. Sniffling, she said, "I saved some for my aunty. You know how her face never cured and there is no way she could get a job with that look of hers. It was my fault that she was hurt and she is my responsibility.
"I really didn't think we will run out.
"Don't be mad. I will go and get us some more. He's a nice guy. I am sure he will help us out."
Her tone was very affirmative. Zhang Bi's always being nice to her had gave her confidence.
"He? And who exactly is this he? Is it Zhang Bi? The two of you are sure close."

Li ShiZe's jealousy had gotten rid of all of his rationality and, right now, he just wanted to destroy everything in front of him. He wasn't entirely clueless about what had been going on between Jiang YaGe and the other man. He had been turning a blind eye toward but he could no longer fool himself.
"It was New Year Eve and a festive day. Let's not fight over this, okay?" She wiped her tears away and said tried to take the take the high road. Perhaps this relationship was a mistake all along. They had already let this relationship messed up too many other aspects of their lives.
Li ShiZe's lips moved some but finally stopped himself from saying what he was going to say.
The door bell rang all of a sudden.
Jiang YaGe went to open up the door and standing outside of the door was Fang JueMing's extremely handsome face. There were a few boxes sitting on the ground next to him and, giving Jiang YaGe a friendly smile, he said, "Happy New Year! I came bearing gifts."
When he saw Li ShiZe inside the apartment and the two men's eyes met, an invisible spark seemed to have been ignited.
Fang JueMing looked away from him and said in a very sincere voice to Jiang YaGe, "Thank you so much for your medicine. My fingers had healed and I can return to the entertainment circle. I really appreciate all that you have done for me."
In his mind, Jiang YaGe was an equivalent of angel who was sent to save him from the cold and dark world.
Fang JueMing's words exploded next to Li ShiZe's ears like thunders, so much that his mind just went blank.
Jiang YaGe's face turned pale and there were pleading in the way that she was looking at him.
Li ShiZe busted out laughing from being too angry. "Hah? The medicines that you have supposedly taken for your aunty?
"Since when did the film emperor Fang JueMing turn into your aunty?"
Fang JueMing had no idea what was going on but he had an idea from the conversation and that the conflict was caused by him. He did not wish to see Jiang YaGe misunderstood and said in a deep voice, "YaGe is a very sweet girl. She just didn't want me to have any regrets for the rest of my life over the injury of my hand so she decided to help me out."
You should be glad that you have such a sweet girl as your girlfriend and be proud of her."
Li ShiZe had been down on luck and, even so, Jiang YaGe still remained steadfastly by his side. It was no doubt that Fang JueMing, one who had seen all sorts of people in the entertainment circle, was very impressed by her. He had thoughts about her but, owing to the fact that she was already in a relationship, been reining in his emotions.
Jiang YaGe couldn't have been more touched upon hearing his words. Choking back her tears, she said, "Thank you, JueMing. This has nothing to do with you." She turned and said to Li ShiZe, "I only keep that from you because I don't want to cause any rift between us. I didn't do that on purpose."
No men like to be cheated on and the same could be said about Li ShiZe. If this was how the two looked at each other right in front of him, what could have happened behind his back? No wonder YaGe, who never liked to leave the house, had been going out every day using the shopping and taking out the garbage as excuses. Perhaps she did all those just so she could have more time to spend with Fang JueMing.
Now that his father was gone and his mother was short of declaring that there was no relationship between the two of them, he had outlived his usefulness. It was no wonder that YaGe had already starting to look for her next man.
He felt as disgusted as someone who had just swallowed a fly. He snickered and said, "Why would you worry about any conflicts between us if there is nothing between the two of you? For his sake, you didn't even care whether my hand has healed when you gave him my medicine. Are you my girlfriend or his?
"What now? Zhang Bi alone isn't good enough for you and you need to also have a film emperor on the side to prove your charm?" He was outraged and didn't care how ugly his words were. He had always been a self-absorbed one and, having experienced betrayal like that, made him lost all of his rationality.
