Notes: Karen sits her sisters down to tell them what's been going on at the church.

"What's been happening Karebear?" Doe asked as she placed her chin on her hand as they sat in Karen's house after church and Karen looked at them like she didn't know what to say as her mouth was a bit parted and the sisters were immediately concerned because she had that look on her face that she would get. "It's nothing." Karen said shrugging it off since her and Drew were taking things into her own hands. "Yeah right it's nothing." Dorinda said as she now folded her arms. "What's up with Deacon Roy being too friendly with you?" Dorinda asked her arching up her eyebrow and Jacky did the same wanting to know as all the sisters were waiting for her to speak up.

"Well it's just that..." Karen started to say not knowing if she should say anything to worry them. "Is he hurting you?" Dorinda asked him. "Ohh not uh not my baby sister." Jacky said ready to fight. "He's not hurting me he's just too handsy." Karen said not making the situation any better. "Well that's even worse." Twinkie told her tilting her head to the side. "Me and the Bishop don't really like him." She admitted to them. "And why don't you like him?" Dorinda said wanting her to be specific but she already knew the answer after watching how, Deacon Roy tried to handle, Karen in church.

"Why is he even allowed inside the church?" Dorinda asked her. "Doe you know we can't kick people out and he didn't really do anything to me." Karen said trying to calm her oldest sister down. "mmhmm." Doe said not believing her. "He had to have did something more than what was going on today." Dorinda told her and Karen rolled her eyes. "Fine." She caved in telling them everything. "Not uh he needs to back up off you. You are a married woman to the Bishop. Doesn't he know boundaries?" Jacky asked sarcastically. "Even if you weren't married he still doesn't have a right to be tryin' you like that. Does anybody else in the church know?"

Jacky asked concerned. "Not really even if I did say something about his behavior they probably wouldn't believe me just based off the fact that I'm the First lady. Well half of them wouldn't." Karen said shrugging her shoulders knowing that some of the members of the congregation were jealous of her because of her famous status and it wasn't like she was a mean or stuck up person. She was always nice to them but no matter what she did a few of the women just didn't like her. "Well you need to tell somebody else that you trust besides us and the Bishop we wouldn't want anything to happen to you because of him and we aren't there to stop it." Jacky said referring to Deacon Roy as she would hate to lose her religion if he did anything to her sister. "I'll think about it." Karen said frowning up her face unsure of what else to do. "But I just know this I don't want him anywhere near, Kierra either especially not if she's alone with him. I'm a need for him to stay away from my baby girl." She said crossing her feet in front of her as she sat on her reclining chair.

"He can mess with me but if he messes with my baby girl it's over for him." Karen said snapping her fingers. "I know that's right." Dorinda said ready to fight over her family and the rests of her sisters agreed as they sat back and watched tv.

It was a Thursday night when the sisters were at church getting ready for choir practice. Twinkie was already there 20 minutes earlier since she played on the organ having to be the center of keeping the choir together on the same key as she was also sometimes apart of the church band especially if their drummer couldn't make it. It was now a couple of minutes into rehearsal and they took a five minute break again the Deacons were there as they had to plan out the program for next Sunday. Karen was far over from her usual spot of where she would stand when they sanged because Deacon Roy would've been to close too her and she really wasn't trying to fool with him tonight especially not after she told her sisters about him earlier on in the week. So, her girls were watching her back and his.

They noticed how, Karen would do everything in her power to keep her distance away from Deacon Roy but somehow he always found a way to get next to her.

Then, it happened what Karen was trying to avoid tonight. As Karen was trying to walk away, Deacon Roy called her and caught up with her. Before she made it out the door into the fellowship hall her lips were pursed and her back tensed up. She turned around smiling at him. "Deacon Royyy." Karen said trying to sound happy to see him as she dragged out his name. "First Lady Karen." He said rubbing her on her shoulder as her sisters were watching from afar but Dorinda was the first one to have her head turned around immediately after he had called, Karen's name. When he rubbed, Karen's shoulder she gently shook him off a bit hoping that he wouldn't notice what he was doing.

"Ah, you're going to the fellowship hall for some snacks?" He asked her trying to make small talk but what he really wanted to do was walk with her and Karen just smiled at him as she awkwardly tried to shake her head no when in fact she was going there. She just didn't want him walking with her. "I was just gonna walk to my husband's office." She said lying and not feeling bad about it. "Oh, really." He said perplexed not really liking the fact that she was going there but he had to deal with it since she was married to the Bishop. "Well let me walk with you to make sure you get there safely." He said giving her a smile and something in the pit of her stomach didn't feel right.

"Uh no that's fine. I'm sure I'll be fine I'm a big girl." She said trying to back away from him. When she refused him the first time Jacky was coming over to get her sister away from the man who couldn't seem to take no for an answer. "Let me just walk and talk with you. I've been meaning to get to know you more." He said as if they were friends and Karen made a face turning her head around as her eyes were secretly pleading for help and she prayed to God that someone would get this man away from her. "No no that's fine you can just go to the fellowship hall it's a private matter that me and Drew have to talk about." She said using her husband's name instead of Bishop so he could get the point that it's actually serious. Although she had no real reason to talk too her husband beforehand she did now since, Deacon Roy wouldn't take the hint and leave her alone.

But instead of letting her go he pulled her closer to him yanking her a bit. When he did that she gulped feeling his tight hands on her wrist once again. Karen pulled away trying to get away from him but with being the strong man that he was he held onto her tighter and when she finally was able to loosen up his grip on her wrists she fell backwards towards the floor letting out a small scream that made people notice what was going on between the two and when she fell it caused him scratch her drawing a bit of blood from her wrists as some of the church members came to aid helping her up. Finally, Jacky and the rests of Karen's sisters made their way over there as Dorinda shoved him to the side getting to her baby sister helping her off the ground when they realized she was actually hurt from the shoving. "She just lost her balance there." Deacon Roy said trying to cover up what actually happened but Jacky saw the whole thing as she helped up Karen as Twinkie went to get the Bishop to tell him what happened.

"You need to talk too this man before we talk to him." Twinkie said as she made her way into his office. "He just shoved, Karen and tried to play it off." She told him and she figured, Drew already knew who the man was in question. Twinkie had never seen her brother-in-law pop up from behind his desk so fast in his life. Twinkie led the way as they made their way back into the sanctuary. "Where she at?" Drew asked, Dorinda as he saw his wife sitting on the pews holding her left arm as she placed some tissue over it to stop the bleeding. "Did he hurt you?" The Bishop asked hovering over his wife highly concerned especially since he never laid a hand on her in all their years of marriage. But before Karen could answer him, Dorinda cut in.

"Yes he did. He shoved her, bruised her and made her bleed." Dorinda said as she came back from where ever she was at. "Here look." She said gently taking Karen's left arm showing him her wrists. What Deacon Roy did to his wife almost made him curse in the house of God. "I have never in my life." The Bishop said with both of his hands on his hips before he gently, took Karen's wrists to examine it. "She should be okay." Dorinda said as she sat next to her baby sister patting her gently on her back. "Where's that nigga- I-I mean, where's Deacon Roy at now?" The Bishop asked as Dorinda looked at the Bishop in shock. "He just had to step out for awhile." Dorinda said crossing her legs like she didn't do nothing to him. "Doe." Karen said calling her name in a serious manner. "What I ain't do nuthin to him." She said clearly lying as her arms were folded and her crossed legs were dangling.

"Dorinda." Karen said calling her name again. "Fine, I locked him outside. Just know he might still be on the ground or bending over after I kicked him in his balls." Dorinda said whispering to the Bishop since no one else was supposed to hear and Karen gasped looking at her sister. "What?" Dorinda asked not caring. "mm mm he shouldn't never put his hands on you. Clearly the only man that knows better is your husband because these other men around here they don't." Dorinda said pursing her lips together giving them attitude and Karen had to playfully roll her eyes at her sister. "I'll go talk to him." The Bishop said after he made sure that his wife was okay and was in good hands. "You gonna let him stay out there right?" She asked him all loud causing eyes to look at her. "What don't be playing with me and my sisters." Doe said not caring who heard.

"I'll just tell him to go home." The Bishop said as he went out to the fellowship hall to the door where, Dorinda kicked and locked him out at. Once Bishop unlocked the door he saw that Deacon Roy thought he was gonna be allowed back in. But he stopped him placing a firm hand on the man's chest backing him out of the church trying not to cause another scene as he closed the door behind him.

"Deacon Roy." The Bishop said beginning to have a few words with this man. "Now, I know me and my wife have been getting to know you and that stuff." He said taking a moment to pause as he placed his thumb on the bottom of his chin trying to keep his cool. "But I would like for you to not touch my wife again. My wife can handle herself." He said, "It hurt me when you bruised her. Now, I'm not rough with my wife and no one is around these streets are because they seem to know better except for you. So, I'll let you off with a warning." The Bishop before coming up close to the man face-to-face. "Let this be the last time I have to talk to you again about respecting my wife and her personal space okay." The Bishop said trying to remain civil with the man. "Maybe you should be rougher with your wife. She looks like the type of girl who can handle a little roughness if you get my drift." Deacon Roy said giving him a look that the Bishop didn't like. And that made him lose his composure.

Yanking, Deacon Roy up by his shirt. "Don't you ever speak about my wife in that manner again. What me and my wife do is none of your got damn business nigga do you understand me?" The Bishop asked him. "Now, I'm trying to be nice to you but there's only so many chances that I will give a person before I act like I was when I wasn't saved." He said rolling his neck gripping, Deacon Roy's shirt tighter. "Now go home we won't be needing you for the rest of the night and the only time I want to see your face is on Sunday and that's if you're seeking forgiveness for what you did to my wife." The Bishop said nearly throwing him as he let go of his shirt and Deacon Roy almost fell back again.

When the Bishop came back in choir rehearsal was nearly over. "Is everything okay?" Karen asked her husband as they got ready to go. "Everything is fine he won't be bothering you no more." Drew said as he kissed his wife on the cheek.

To be continued...
