———

They were invited to an afterparty when the show was over and Kaia was pouty the whole time when she was separated from Taylor who was mingling with her friends and other people in the industry she knew. It was perfect at first when they got to meet the band, but then Taylor was stolen away by others. With people actually paying attention to them now, she couldn't stay glued to her girlfriend's side, and it frustrated her beyond belief as she sat there silently, patiently pining for her, desperately waiting for the moment they got to spend alone together. Taylor kept meeting her gaze from across the room, and Kaia understood she felt the same exact way.

Kaia was watching Taylor from her seat talking with animated hand gestures to some big-time producer. The blonde was even laughing loudly at times, but it wasn't until the guy placed his hand over Taylor's shoulder that Kaia got horribly frustrated. Taylor politely stepped away, though she kept the conversation going from an arm's length.

"The buzzcut, by the way, that was badass as fuck! We never really got to talk before."

Kaia looked to her left to find Cara sitting next to her with a drink in her hand. Kaia smiled politely at her. She didn't want to have to peel her eyes away from Taylor, but she didn't want to seem rude either.

"Thank you," she replied, clearing her throat lightly. She didn't have much to say. She could only really think of Taylor.

"I absolutely love your role in The Lady in Waiting. I really can't wait for the new season," Cara continued, never once looking away. "When does it come out?"

"Uhm, well, we've just finished filming it," Kaia explained, glancing at Taylor from the corner of her eyes. She noticed the blonde watching the interaction carefully and that was when it hit Kaia... was the model flirting with her? She couldn't even tell until she glanced up and noticed how much attention Cara was really paying her.

Well, she was flattered, and definitely found it hilarious. But it also meant Taylor hadn't told her friends that they were dating. It explained why she was being very careful around them back there.

Taylor turned back to the man who seemed to be practically begging her for her attention; Kaia couldn't blame him.

That was when Kaia got a brilliant idea. Actually, it wasn't brilliant. It was just her jealousy speaking. She hated this feeling. She wasn't a jealous person. But at that moment, she wanted Taylor all to herself. She wanted it to be just the two of them. And she wanted to show her that she was all hers, and only hers. Maybe it was her feelings finally revealing themselves to her, or maybe it was that sleazebag producer guy. She turned to the model next to her and gave her a little smile, and maybe a little smirk, knowing that Taylor was definitely watching.

"Yeah, so it doesn't come out until next year, probably January or February," she continued, watching the model sip from her drink.

"Right, well, I can't wait. I was really so invested in how they ended things between your character and William's character. Although, I'm secretly rooting for Elizabeth and Dotty to get together!"

Kaia couldn't help but laugh at that. It definitely would make the show that much more interesting for sure. "That would be a bloody nightmare, I fear. Poor James would be left with no wife and no secret mistress. I do believe you'll enjoy this next bit, though. It's not quite so... dramatic. But the plot twist is really unexpected."

"Good, I really can't wait to watch you in it," Cara responded with a little laugh. Kaia couldn't help but think that she had probably meant something along the lines of I really can't wait to watch you half-naked in the frequent explicit scenes.

"Will you excuse me a moment? I've really got to use the loo," Kaia told her before getting up, purse in hand.

She slipped out the back of that ballroom where the party was being held and hailed a taxi.

The weirdest bit of it all was that she was completely sober, and she still thought a real game of cat and mouse was a good idea.

The cab driver dropped her off right outside the same dive bar where they had bumped into one another back when they had first met. She sat in the back with a glass of whiskey on ice and waited until Taylor inevitably texted her. She only got to her first sip.

With a little smirk, she opened the text message.

Blondie🐰💗: where u at??!!!

Kibbles💜: dive bar on the east side!

Kibbles 💜: location 📍

Kibbles💜: where U at??!!!

Kaia couldn't help but laugh as she watched the text bubbles appear and disappear only to reappear again and then disappear, repeating the pattern for a whole two minutes before Taylor provided a very short text consisting of just three letters.

Blondie🐰💗: wtf

And then her name appeared on the screen as she tried to call Kaia. She let it ring a few times before picking it up.

"What the fuck are you doing at that bar?"

Kaia held back a laugh, twirling the large ice cube in her drink with her finger. "I got bored..."

"You couldn't come and find me?!" Taylor was starting to sound panicked. Kaia could picture her pacing around anxiously. She couldn't hear any music behind her so she figured she must have been in the car already. "We would've left."

"Come here," Kaia told her casually. She found this a little bit more fun. "You can meet me in the back."

"You bet your ass I'm coming over there. I'm trying to understand why the hell you'd ditch me like that?"

"I missed your attention," Kaia admitted. "I wanted us alone."

Taylor let out a little noise as she tried to respond but no words came out.

"I'm on my way," she told her before hanging up.

Kaia smiled to herself, nursing her drink slowly until Taylor showed up. It was less than ten minutes when the blonde came rushing over to the table.

"That wasn't very nice," Taylor started, breathing heavily.

"It's Karaoke night again," Kaia replied instead.

Taylor shook her head, looking completely unamused. She looked around for a few seconds until she realised the coast was pretty much clear and bent down to grab Kaia by the face, not as gentle as usual. She pressed her mouth against Kaia's, kissing her hard.

Kaia pulled her in, sliding on the bench to make space for Taylor to slip down next to her. She kissed her long and hard until they were both out of breath and they leaned their foreheads against one another.

"You are fucking unbelievable," Taylor muttered, completely breathless. "You literally had me chase you around New York because I left you alone for a minute?"

"Well, when you put it like that, it does sound insane, doesn't it?" Kaia chuckled sheepishly, though she didn't regret it one bit after the kiss they had just shared.

"Fucking mental," Taylor huffed, opening her blue eyes. Kaia noticed they had turned significantly darker. "And it turned me on like nothing else before."

Well, Kaia definitely wasn't expecting that reaction, but she sure as hell wasn't complaining. She had been turned on all night already.

"I was going to fucking murder that bloke you were talking to," Kaia breathed out, fuming again at the memory of that slimy guy.

Taylor grimaced in distaste, rubbing her face with her hand. "And you probably noticed me planning my friend's execution for flirting with you... what a pair we are."

"Well, that's on you for not making it clear to everyone that I am strictly yours," Kaia hmphed, running her palms over Taylor's bare thighs. "All I kept thinking about was how much I wanted you all to myself tonight. I know it sounds clingy and toxic but, god, I don't wanna share you with anyone else. Not tonight. Not ever."

"Is it that bad if I feel the same way about you?" Taylor countered with a little grin.

"I have no fucking clue," Kaia chuckled, squeezing Taylor's knee. "Do you want anything to drink?"

"Is that whiskey?"

"Yep."

"Perfect."

Kaia slipped away for a moment to get Taylor her drink. Her hands were shaking around her glass, holding back from the blonde. Taylor's fingers were tapping on Kaia's leg until she closed her palms around them. It also stopped her own hands from trembling. They didn't talk much. They didn't need to. And when Kaia felt like she couldn't hold herself back anymore, she turned to meet Taylor's eyes that told her the same thing. They were getting out of there.

As soon as they were back in the car, Taylor shut the divider, giving them just a tiny bit more privacy so she could climb into Kaia's lap and kiss her passionately.

"That was so fucking stupid," Taylor breathed out, dipping her face into Kaia's neck. She leaned her head back against the seat, giving Taylor easier access.

"I know," Kaia admitted with a small laugh that died out immediately when Taylor dug her teeth into her skin. It didn't hurt, but it did make her grip the blonde's dress tightly and bite down hard enough to bruise her own lip in order to suppress a moan.

"What the hell were you thinking?" The blonde continued, still attacking Kaia's neck with her mouth between each word.

"That I wanted you," Kaia whispered, her voice coming out broken and ragged. "All to myself."

Taylor pulled back, her chest heaving hard and fast as she tried to catch her breath. "God, you make me crazy."

Kaia pulled her in for another kiss when the car rolled to a stop.

Taylor looked beyond annoyed when she had to get up. She reached over Kaia to open the door when Greg knocked on the divider between them. Kaia watched amusedly as Taylor visibly got flustered in irritation, but as she opened it up, they both silently thanked whoever invented tinted windows, or they would've been blinded by the flash of cameras outside.

"The guys are trying to push them back, but it looks like it's going to take a while. The really big assholes are here tonight," Greg explained and then winced and apologised for using foul language. "It would be best to just push through them quick right now."

Taylor slowly sat back down on the bench right next to Kaia and glanced at her nervously. Her eyes darted to the spot on her neck and Kaia's hand immediately reached for it. She was sure there was a very obvious bruise starting to form there. And besides that, Taylor looked pretty dishevelled, and exactly like someone who had just been making out in the back of a moving vehicle. Kaia had no doubt she didn't look any better. They sure as hell could not risk getting out there looking like that.

They shared a look between them, thankful that Taylor had decided to rent the new place, and thankful for whoever invented tinted windows. They managed to sneak in past the large gates without any pictures of them being taken.

After Kaia locked the door behind them, she led Taylor by the hand toward the couch and sat them down side by side.

"You looked a little shaken back there," she started softly, brushing her thumb over the blonde's cheek. She cupped it in the palm of her hand and Taylor turned her face and pressed a light kiss on it.

Taylor stayed quiet. She played with Kaia's hand, lacing and unlacing their fingers together.

"We're safe here," Kaia comforted her, thinking Taylor must have still been worried about those damn photographers. "They're gone now."

Taylor looked up with a little smile but then she shook her head, turning her gaze back down to her lap. She had both her legs tucked under her, the dress riding up just a little higher to expose her smooth thighs.

"It's not the paparazzi," she murmured, chewing on the side of her thumb.

"What is it, then?"

Taylor looked up to meet Kaia's eyes again, her brows furrowed in the middle. She seemed to be trying to read Kaia's thoughts and was having a hard time understanding them. Kaia herself was having a hard time understanding what was going on inside Taylor's head.

"You weren't spooked back there?" She finally asked, holding on to Kaia's hand as though she were afraid of letting her go.

"Yeah, it was a little annoying, but it's fine. We're here now." Kaia let out a little chuckle, squeezing Taylor's hand in reassurance. "What's going on?"

"I haven't actually told anyone yet that we're dating, not even my family," she mumbled which surprised Kaia, given the fact that Taylor told her mother everything. They talked on the phone every single day, so it was weird that she wouldn't have brought it up at least once.

"Oh?" Kaia didn't want to jump to any conclusions. She stayed quiet, giving Taylor some time and space to explain if she needed to.

"Yeah," she nodded, avoiding her girlfriend's gaze. "I'm scared."

Kaia frowned, moving closer to her and placing her hands on Taylor's knees. "What are you scared of?"

She could see Taylor's throat bob up and down as she swallowed back. "That these stupid photographers will scare you away."

Oh...

Kaia's eyes softened empathetically. She held Taylor's face in her hands, lifting it up so she could meet her eyes. "They won't scare me away."

"They have ruined every good thing in my life for the past decade." There was a small quiver in her voice. "I don't— I'm just... I can't help but sit here and wait for the other shoe to drop. Because it always drops."

"Taylor."

When she didn't look up, Kaia repeated her name a little firmer this time. "Taylor. Baby, look at me."

She looked up reluctantly, chewing down on her bottom lip.

"They're not going to drive me away. I can handle a few photographers outside our door every now and then."

"But it's not every now and then, Kaia. It's every single damn day!"

Taylor sat up, dropping her hands in her lap in frustration.

"Okay, then so be it. Nothing's going to change," Kaia tried to reassure her, sitting up to her level. "It'll be hard to keep our relationship hidden. I know. It's going to take some work. But we'll make it work. We'll be fine, darling."

Taylor still looked worried as she met Kaia's gaze through her lashes.

"How do you know?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Kaia leaned in closer so their noses bumped into each other. "Because, Taylor, I'm here to stay. We've already gone through so much shit together for us to give up on this because of something as trivial as stupid pictures. As long as I have you, it'll be enough."

"Nothing ever stays this perfect for too long," Taylor whispered, holding on to Kaia's waist closely.

"It won't be perfect," Kaia agreed. "But it'll be damn near perfect if I get to come home to you at night, and wake up by your side in the morning. Do you want that?"

"Of course I do. I want nothing more," she replied, her voice indicating that even the thought of her not wanting Kaia was ridiculous. It made her smile.

"Okay. Then we have nothing to worry about."

Taylor smiled sheepishly and nodded. "You're literally perfect."

"Yeah... I know," Kaia grinned cockily.

"We do have one thing to worry about though," Taylor told her, leaning her arm over the back of the couch.

"What?" Kaia frowned in concern.

Taylor reached out with her hand, brushing Kaia's hair out of her face. "We gotta worry about what we're going to do for that stunt you pulled on me back there."

Taylor said it with such an innocent face that the dirty connotations behind her words took a moment to register. Kaia almost choked on her own breath.

"What are you going to do?" She asked, shifting in her seat as the old familiar feeling pooled in the pit of her stomach. God, she was so turned on.

"Hmm, I don't know yet." Taylor tilted her head to the sign as she observed her girlfriend and then, she smirked widely. "But just think of all the fun things we could do."

"You mean all the fun things you could do?" Kaia clarified with a dry chuckle. She held her hands in fists at her sides, holding back from grabbing Taylor and climbing into her lap right then and there.

"Yeah," Taylor confirmed, drawling out the word. "Pretty much. See? You started getting it. Good girl."

Oh, dear lord.

Kaia never thought she would be so attracted to anyone calling her a good girl in a sexual context. She had laughed directly in Andy's face when she had attempted to call her that once. Kaia didn't want to laugh now. She wanted to let Taylor have all the fun she liked. She wanted to give Taylor anything she wanted.

"What are we going to do?" Taylor clicked her tongue, still softly caressing Kaia's cheek. Their faces were only inches apart and any sudden movement would press their lips together. Kaia was dying in anticipation. Her lips tingled, begging her to pull Taylor down and kiss her.

The blonde seemed to have read Kaia's mind because she did the exact opposite. When she dipped her head down, she let her lips just barely graze over Kaia's before moving them to her jaw, laughing softly to herself.

"It's not gonna be that easy," Taylor murmured, sitting back and facing the small flat screen. Kaia kept her position, her whole body turned toward Taylor.

"It was that easy in the car," she pointed out which made Taylor chuckle and shrug, glancing at her from the corner of her eyes.

"I was indulging myself."

Kaia nodded and exhaled softly. As the silence consumed them, she worried her bottom lip with her teeth, waiting patiently for Taylor's next move. Well, that was a lie. She had thrown all patience out the window when it came to the woman sitting next to her.

"You're going to hurt yourself like that one of these days," Taylor broke the silence first, running her thumb under Kaia's lip to release it from the bite of her teeth. She looked up at her with her mouth slightly parted, maybe a little too hopeful on her part. Taylor's eyes glistened amusedly as she grabbed Kaia's hand and patted her lap. "C'mere."

Kaia happily obliged, throwing one leg over Taylor's lap and straddling her, hands resting lightly on each of her shoulders.

"Come closer! I won't bite," Taylor said with a small laugh. "Too hard, that is."

Kaia wasn't exactly sure whether she was joking or not but her stomach still flipped. She gently cupped Taylor's face in her hands and leaned her forehead over hers.

"What are you doing to me?" She breathed out, her heart hammering hard in her chest.

"Nothing yet," Taylor smirked, running her hands flat along Kaia's thighs.

"Tu me rends folle." [You're driving me crazy.]

"Oui?" Taylor replied awkwardly with a little grin that made Kaia burst out laughing. Taylor laughed along as she closed the distance between them and captured Kaia's lips in a sweet kiss.

It slowly turned deeper, the two young women pouring all of their piled-up emotions from the long night into this one kiss. They were desperate for each other, unable to keep their hands to themselves. Taylor's fingers slowly trailed up Kaia's back and closed around the collar of her jacket to push it over her shoulders. She let it drop to the floor with a heavy thud, not once breaking contact with Taylor's lips. She couldn't get enough. She needed more. Kaia needed to feel Taylor's warm skin pressed up against hers.

Taylor had the same thoughts, moving her hands between their bodies to unbutton Kaia's jeans. She tried to tug them down but it took some effort, so the brunette stood up, as much as she hated to, and bent down to pull them off completely. When she stood up straight again, Taylor was watching her with her dark blue eyes electrified.

"God, it should be illegal for you to look this good."

Taylor slowly got up and started walking down the hall to the bedroom, holding her hand. Kaia turned on the small bedside lamp so she could see Taylor's shadow weave around the room. The blonde stood in front of her, arms wrapped tightly around her frame. She smiled softly down at her and used her hand to brush a few stray curls away from her face.

"So gorgeous," she whispered before kissing her once again. Kaia held on to Taylor's waist as she gently walked her back until her calves hit the mattress behind her. She sat down at the edge of the bed and pulled Taylor down with her, letting her settle between her legs that were spread wide open.

It didn't take long for the kiss to turn much more heated, both of them desperate and needy for the other's touch. Kaia's fingers curled into the fabric of Taylor's dress, trying to pull her as close as possible and make sure she doesn't slip away, and also making sure she herself stayed grounded in the real world because it really all felt surreal. But when Taylor tried to move them into a more comfortable position on the bed, they heard the sound of fabric ripping and Kaia pulled back in surprise only to spot a significant tear in Taylor's dress.

"Oh my god, your dress is ruined," she said with a little disappointed pout. It was a gorgeous piece and a big shame that she was never going to get to see her wear it again.

"That's okay," Taylor replied with a little amused chuckle. She stood back up, poking her finger through the hole and wiggling it in Kaia's face to make her giggle. "I only bought it so you could take it off."

"Oh." Kaia's voice was small. She wet her lips, looking at Taylor with her eyes wide. She was going to be the death of her for sure. Kaia was not going to make it out of this room alive.

Still, she gingerly reached behind the blonde and unzipped the dress very delicately. She sat leaning back on her palms and watched as the dress slipped down Taylor's arms agonisingly slow, exposing her chest first. It stopped at her hips and with a small tug, it pooled around her ankles.

Taylor reached behind her as she stepped out of the dress and unclasped her bra. She stayed in just her panties and the view made it absolutely impossible for Kaia to breathe. Then, Taylor leaned down to peck Kaia's lips once before jumping all the way down to her legs.

She smoothed her hands ever so gently over Kaia's legs, following with her lips, leaving hot, open-mouthed kisses in their wake. When she reached the inside of her thighs, Taylor looked up with a little smirk that made Kaia's head explode. She could barely keep her weight up as her limbs were starting to shake. She eased herself down against her pillows and held her arms over her middle, trying not to combust with each press of Taylor's mouth against her skin, so high up her thighs. She bit down on her lip, and it was all she could do to avoid embarrassing herself when Taylor playfully bit her. She hissed when the feeling came unexpectedly.

"I thought you didn't bite."

"Not too hard," Taylor shot back with a little laugh, kissing the same spot again and rubbing it with her thumb. "Sorry."

Kaia shook her head, moving Taylor's bangs out of her face. "It didn't hurt."

"Well, in that case..." Taylor grazed her other thigh with her teeth once again, with just a bit more pressure this time. It still wasn't even remotely painful, but damn it, Kaia would be lying if she said it didn't awaken something in her. She remained quiet, except for the little curse she couldn't keep in.

"You just had to wear a bodysuit tonight, didn't you?" Taylor practically growled, leaning her chin over Kaia's thigh as her finger traced over the lace pattern of her lingerie, just over her pelvis.

"You don't like it?" Kaia asked with a raised eyebrow, knowing it was quite the opposite, but she wanted to hear it out loud.

"No, I love it," Taylor replied, though she did sound a little frustrated. "It's just making my life just a tiny bit harder."

"Is it?"

Taylor nodded, meeting Kaia's gaze as her finger moved lower to toy with the buttons keeping the bodysuit clasped together at the bottom. Kaia held in her breath as her whole body tingled.

"Mhm-mm, I don't know if I want you to stay in it, or if I want to rip it right off your body."

Kaia chuckled, gently brushing Taylor's hair back. "I think we'd both prefer it off."

"You think so?" Taylor hooked her finger behind the clasps, just barely grazing over Kaia's centre. A shiver immediately ran down her spine and when her eyes met those electric blue ones she adored so much, her heart seemed to stop working.

"Oh, for sure, fuck," Kaia muttered in one breath.

"I think you're right." And with that, Taylor pulled at the buttons to undo them completely.

She teased Kaia's centre with the tip of her finger, running it all the way up. She remained quiet, but Kaia could tell from her smirk that she was definitely feeling pretty smug at how slick she had made the brunette already.

Taylor curled her fingers around the sides of the bodysuit instead, pulling it up and over Kaia's torso. She left a kiss on every bit of skin she kept exposing, all the way up until Kaia had to sit up to pull it over her head, and she was left completely bare.

It was then that Kaia wrapped her arms firmly around Taylor and flipped them over so she was on top. The blonde raised her eyebrows in surprise and then she scoffed.

"Hey, that's not how tonight's supposed to go, you know, for that stunt you pulled earlier." Taylor narrowed her eyes and tried to struggle but Kaia was strong enough to keep her in place. "You definitely don't get to top tonight."

"I know. I'm making it up to you." Kaia replied softly, smiling down at her. She trailed her hands up Taylor's sides and back down her arms until she found her hands and laced their fingers together. "So, will you let me worship your body?"

Taylor took in a shaky breath and nodded. Her body relaxed under Kaia's weight, watching her bend down and attach her lips to her chest while her fingers rid the blonde of the last piece of clothing between them. She went slow, taking her time with every single inch of soft skin. She kept her word and worshipped Taylor just right, leaving kisses everywhere her lips could reach and massaging the spots that were left lonely with her hands. She was gentle, adoring, and Taylor was a squirming mess beneath her.

Kaia rolled her hips into Taylor's for more stimulation, rubbing their clits together. They both let out quiet moans at the new sensation. Taylor looked up at Kaia with hooded, darkened eyes. She reached up and cupped her cheek to pull her down for a hard kiss. She shifted under her to get into a more comfortable position and started thrusting upward, meeting Kaia halfway.

They were both trembling and whimpering in pleasure. Taylor wrapped one of her legs around Kaia's for better support. She gripped the pillow behind her tightly, barely able to keep her eyes open, but she was insistent on keeping eye contact, and it drove Kaia absolutely mad. She thought she would come undone from that look alone.

Kaia buried her face in Taylor's shoulder when she couldn't take it anymore, biting into the flesh as she shuddered in pleasure, her body constricting from within. Their movements were becoming sloppier, their grips tighter, and their breathing heavier.

"Oh, god... baby," Taylor breathed right in her ear, dragging a satisfying path up Kaia's back with her nails, only to bury her fingers in her mussed-up curls.

"Baby," she repeated, her voice insistent, almost urgent. They were both so close. "Look at me."

Kaia sat up, pulling her lips in between her teeth when she met Taylor's gaze. She kept grinding on Taylor who was still thrusting into her, rubbing against each other with such passion and heat. And when Taylor moved her hand between them to help Kaia out some more with her gentle touch, she was a shaking, moaning mess on top.

"Taylor, oh, oh my—"

She couldn't get a proper sentence out. But Taylor's eyes were soft and safe, and oh, so aroused, and just like that, they both came undone together, holding on to one another for dear life.

Kaia collapsed against Taylor who wrapped her up in her arms and held her close. They were both breathing hard, and Kaia could hear Taylor's uneven heartbeats, thumping loud and fast as the drums in a marching band. She pressed her lips right above Taylor's heart, leaving a soft kiss in their wake. Then, she rested her palm, flat over that same spot and let her head rest over it as her body slowly started to cool down.

"That was definitely not how I imagined this was going to go," Taylor broke the silence first with a small chuckle, still out of breath.

"No?" Kaia herself couldn't get anything else out.

Taylor shook her head and nuzzled her hair, hugging her even closer. "No," she murmured. "This was so much better."

Kaia turned to lie flat on top of Taylor and leaned her chin on her chest to meet her gaze. She saw the little, lazy smile playing on the blonde's face and her heart fluttered in her chest.

That smile's going to be the death of me.

"Shit..." Kaia muttered, suddenly remembering exactly what she had pulled back there at the afterparty.

"What?" Taylor frowned in concern at Kaia's tone.

"I was such an asshole to Cara back there... I told her I needed to use the loo... and then ran out of there!"

Taylor blinked at Kaia before she burst out laughing. Kaia was blushing furiously but joined Taylor in her laughter, hiding her face in her girlfriend's neck.

"I'm sure she'll be fine," Taylor reassured her, patting her shoulder softly. "I'll be sure to tell her you had a horrible case of explosive diarrhoea and had to run out of there."

"Oh god, way to ruin a moment! Please don't do that!" Kaia practically cried out, hiding her face further into the crook of Taylor's neck as she shook under her with heavy laughter.

They lay there, engulfed in each other's arms for hours maybe. Time had no significance in their little bubble. Taylor's hands absentmindedly ran along Kaia's back, while she ran her fingers through her favourite silky blonde locks. For hours, maybe longer, Kaia couldn't stop looking at Taylor's face, memorising every small detail. Every soft feature. Every single freckle. The curve of her lips. The shape of her nose. The blue of her eyes. Her favourite shade of blue.

And Taylor simply blinked back at her, watching her through half-lidded eyes as she fought off sleep to keep staring at Kaia.

It was a night spent with stolen kisses and soft touches. They talked in whispers about nothing in particular. Kaia found herself watching Taylor slowly fall asleep, and she watched her some more until the sun had started to rise. Until she could no longer keep her eyes open. She let sleep come crashing over her with the widest smile spread over her face.

She never thought she could ever be this blissfully happy. But with Taylor, it wasn't so hard. She only hoped she was able to make her just as happy.
