"I don't know why you're complaining when you're the one who decided to do it." Mom said as she was cooking breakfast.

"I didn't decide to do it! I was pressured!!"

"You should have said no."

"It's not that easy everyone was cheering and stuff and I don't want to let them down you know?"

"Yeah, I guess I know that feeling.when the crowd wants something, they get it."

"I think it's cool, my sis is a superstar!"

"Shut up Batsu. eat your egg."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I haven't even walked into the building and I already regret coming to school.
"Look! It's the superstar basketball player and the superstar singer!" Someone said in a slightly annoying voice, were they making fun of us?
Aomine glared at him and he quickly ran away, the video of me singing went viral not only because I was known as "girl kicks basketball players butt" but also because I sang at another game that beat the world record for largest score gap, it hit 2.3 million views over night, and the gameplay video from the match hit over 800k views.
"Maybe I should transfer schools." I said.
Aomine shot his gaze towards me. "Why would yo do that!! It'd only be worse then.."
"I don't know, this is rough. I don't like the attention."
"You always have everyone's attention that video didn't change anything."
"That's true.. I don't get why they like talking about me so much!"
"Your middle school reputation doesn't help much."
"We don't talk about that."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Timeskip- end of school day.

"Uhm sorry? You're who now?"

"HYP, we're one of the largest jpop companies in the industry, we saw your video! Not only are you gorgeous but you can sing too!" A pudgy short man said as he stopped me outside of the school.

"Sorry I'm not interested in becoming a trainee.."

"No need! We'll put you on after a few quick months of training! You're special you don't have to go through all that!"

"But still.. I'm not interested."

"You can become rich and famous! What's not to like?"

"All of the above."

"Come on just think about it! Here's my personal card if you ever change your mind." He said giving me a card.

"Okay.."

He got into his car and drove away, I looked around to see people staring, great...

"Kessakuchi!!!!" I heard from behind me, I sighed and turned around.

"Hello Kise, okay everyone's staring time to go." I walked towards my house with him following close behind.

"You're famous!"

"So I've been told, don't worry it'll die down in a few months." That was just wishful thinking. "So why're you here?"

"I wanted to hang out."

"And do what? don't you have a bunch of fan girls? I'm not trying to make even more enemies."

"You have a bunch of fanboys too! Look behind us."

"What?" I snapped my head around to find a bunch of boys trailing us with their phones out, along with a few girls no doubt here for Kise.

"Omg, I'll hang out with you if you can help me get away from them.." I said looking up at him.

He smiled and took my hand, running away.

"Where are we going!" I yelled.

"It's a secret!"

"I don't like secrets!"

"Are you like one of those f-boys who takes the girl to their "special spot" to make it seem like you're different?" I asked while looking above at the view of Tokyo, we were on top of a giant skyscraper. Not gonna lie I'm a bit scared of heights, but I love the view.

Kise laughed. "no! I promise it's not like that, I just like to come up here to think sometimes."

"So it's exactly like that."

"No, I swear I've never brought up another girl before."

"You're digging yourself into a hole, it doesn't matter I was only joking." I smacked him playfully on the back.

He smiled. "So, you can sing."

"Ahh.. yeah I get it from my mom. She's pretty amazing, guess that's what caught my Dad's attention."

"Haha I see."

"What about you? Super model AND basketball star? That's quite a rep."

"Apparently not, if you didn't know who I was in either of those categories." He said slightly sad.

"Well, I'm not really a fan girl person, I'd say I'm pretty down to earth."

"You know any other girl would be jumping at the chance to talk to me alone like this." He said playfully.

"Oh jee whizz! I'm soooo happy right now." I said in a monotone making him burst out in laughter.

"You're funny."

"I know right, seriously though. Humble down." I said winking. "By the way, do all of you guys live in Tokyo?" I asked.

"You mean the generation of miracles?"

"Sure."

"No, Murisakibarachi lives up north and Akashi lives down south, the rest of us do though, it's where we grew up."

"I see, that's good I guess."

"Huh." He laughed in confusion.

"Oh, it's just that, Akashi came to my house the same day you guys showed up at my school. He really got on my nerves so I may have kicked him to the ground.." I said slightly embarrassed at my passionate outburst.

Kise looked at you wide eyes then started to laugh hysterically. "It's about time someone put him in his place."

"Hm? Is he that bad?"

"He didn't used to be, I don't really understand it but one day he realized that our talents were becoming too much for him and then he just.. changed, like flipping off a switch. He's completely different than he used to be."

"I see.." I didn't know the guy too well, but I could tell by the way he talked that he had a tremendous amount of pressure on his shoulders.

"Don't feel too bad for him, he's wayyyyy rich!"

I giggled. "Yeah that's true too."

"By the way, are you and Aominechi a thing?"

"Huh? Well I wouldn't go that far." I said blushing. "We're just friends!"

"But you like him?" He said with a smirk on his face.

"Well..  he is handsome, and tall, and strong, and well built, and..." my face got increasingly red after each word I spoke. "I think he really likes me."

Kise smiled heart fully. "He really does. I can tell, you lit a spark in him that makes the world shine brighter honestly! It's amazing how much he's changed because of you. He's no longer obsessed over finding a rival and he's nicer too, like the first time I met him.." Kise looked down with a sad longing smile on his face, what memories had he recalled?

"Can you, tell me about him? I mean the old Aomine."

"Well.. he was a big smiler, always happy. Always wanting to play basketball with whoever he could, he was kind too. He's one of the biggest reasons me and Kurokochi joined the first string basketball team at Teiko, he was our ace.. our brightest light, then.. one day, his light went dark. It affected us all, in more ways than you could imagine." A darkness touched Kise's eyes in a way I hadn't seen before, he seemed so cheerful all the time, but there was sadness in his heart.

I cursed to myself. "I can't believe you had to go through all of that. Because of him." My words were filled with venom.

"Because of who?"

I looked up at Kise's curious eyes and sighed. "The night Akashi went to my house he basically confessed to me that he put Aomine in that slump on purpose.. I got so mad that I attacked him. To ruin someone's hopes and dreams like that, to make them feel utterly alone, it's bullshit!"

Kises hand clasped his mouth in shock, he looked like he'd seen a ghost, he slowly sat down trying to take it all in.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm.. I'm." Kise's voice cracked, he looked like he was gonna cry. "Aomine was the reason I joined the basketball team, he's the reason that I ever even tried. Seeing him so down like that.. seeing how heartbroken he was when he realized no one could match him was just..ugh you don't understand Kessakuchi, you should've seen him before his slump. When he broke, when you decided no one else could beat it... it was awful." He put his hands over his head and sighed, I sat down next to him and gave him a side hug.

"I could never understand how hard it must have been to watch your idol fall like that, your friend... After all I wasn't there. But I'm here now and I swear I'm gonna make that brat pay."

Kise looked up and chuckled. "You're amazing Kessakuchi, I can see why Aomine fell for you."

"Huh!" I blushed,

"Oh come on! No matter how pretty a girl is Aomine wouldn't fall in love with them solely because of their appearance, he's not the type. That's part of the reason I was so curious to meet you, after all you were the one to bring him back."

"I'm.. more than my appearance to him?"

"Yes!" Kise laughed.

I smiled quietly to myself thinking about Aomine.
